Prospective students can get a taste of campus life during the summer months by spending a day or evening at Penn State New Kensington.

During the Spend a Summer Day and Spend a Summer Evening events in June, July, and August, participants can meet staff and current students, and find out all they need to know about admissions, financial aid and student life. I had a great time during my winter vacation. The first thing I did was I made a plan for my study. I assigned my homework equally according to the holidays so that I can finish all of them in time. And during my winter vacation， we welcome the most important festival in China-Spring Festival， it‘s also called Chinese New Year by lots of foreigners. At that night， our family came together and had a big meal. Of course we had dumplings that night， because that is our Chinese traditional. Secondly， I took some extracurricular activities and read some English original reading. My favorite book is ， written by Sherlock Holmes. Among all the classical movies， the Sound of Music was the most exciting one. During my holidays I also made some assistance for my physical class teacher， surely I met lots of difficulties in this stage and from which I knew what perseverance really was. Lastly， I went to the temple fair and was lucky to taste several Chinese traditional dishes; “Jiaohua chicken” is one of them. more people make contribution to stop the global warming. Therefore, a new

lifestyle occurs--low carbon life. What can we do to live in low carbon?

First, remember to turn off lights and turn off the faucet when you do not

need to use. Use the energy-saving lamps. There are many small things we can do

to save resources. Second, when we go out, take public transport as much as

possible, to reduce gas emissions and to ease the transporting pressures.

All in all, there are many other things we can do to live in the low carbon

Most people miss their grade school days and think they are the happiest time of their life, but whenever I recall them I cannot help feeling a little sad. In my young days I disliked any dismal atmosphere and could not bear the feeling of loneliness, yet the fact was that I often lived in a dismal home and frequently had the bitter taste of lonesomeness. I was not cheerful even in the company of my classmates at the grade school I attended. When I was alone at home the dismal atmosphere often filled me with fear even though thought here went to work in the morning but always came later than I did. For a young person like me t was too bad. Not until I was about sixteen years old had I outgrown t feeling of fear. Then there was that nagging feeling of loneliness either at home of at school. My father changed his job several times and with each change of his job we had to move and I had to attend a different grade school. Before I finished my elementary education I had attended three grade schools and thus it was difficult for me to cultivate enduring friendships. The feeling of being friendless was a constant source of pain to me. Those unhappy grade school days have of course long been over. I still have an abhorrence for any dismal atmosphere and lonesomeness, but hardened by experience I now find them less disturbing than they were.
