A book exhibition

Dropped in at National Library to see the National Book Exhibition which will close today. Suprised at the fact that so many kinds of books are published in our country. Thought the childrens books with many pages of colorful illustrations were made very nicely. Bought a copy of the Chinese version of English and American Short Stories at a 20 per cent discount. Am going to read this through in this good season for reading.

come back to their 20 years old time are very popular. The old people do all

kinds of crazy things that they never have the chance to do. These movies tell

always hear my parents said when they retired, they could carry out all kinds of

many amazing scenery waiting for us to discover. At the process of searching the

knowledge, we also become mature and have our own thinking.

Finding the place in the world is the basic task for us. The purpose of

knowledge is to master some skills, so as to get accustomed to the world and

know what we want to do and what we can bring to the world. The value we create

There are four seasons in the year .my favorite season is summer .because i

Today we visited Red Star Farm.

Early in the morning, we met at the school gate and went there together.

About two hours later, we arrived. On arriving there, we were given a warm

welcome by the farm workers. Then one of the workers showed us around the farm.

We were very glad to see the crops and vegetables growing so well. At noon, we

had a picnic happily.

After the picnic, we enjoyed ourselves in the sunshine. We listened to

music, dancing and singing. Some were talking happily and even two of our

classmates played chess. How time flies! It was time for us to leave though we

didnt want to. It was really an unforgettable visit for us.

It was a very busy evening, I was doing my homework at my home. My father was writing a composition in the study room. My mother was interested in Shanghai opera. She was watching a Shanghai opera contest. The apartment was very quiet. Suddenly the light went out. It was a blackout, but I liked it very much. It came and I didn’t have to do my homework. We went to the living room very slowly. After 5 minutes, we all sat in the sofa. It was a lucky, fortunate day. I said that let’s held a concert. My parents agreed with me. I took out some candles and lighted up. We were singing, laughing and talking. We had a really good time. But while I was singing, the light suddenly turned on. Oh, my God. Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

The day after yesterday I received 2000 yuan from my relatives as my pocket

money.I was so happy but my father and mother said that I should give a half to

them and the rest would be my pocket money in one year.“what!” I shouted.
