《老人与海》这本书中讲的是老人桑提阿果出海打鱼，历经三天三夜与大海搏斗的故事，最终只是拉回了一条金枪鱼的骨架的故事，可是这骨架有用吗？没有用费那么多力气拖回来干什么？

这个故事有时会被人们认为很励志。但是首先，在捕到金枪鱼后，连人带船被金枪鱼拖着在海面上走。就算是条鱼受伤之后，不可能连人带船在海上航行将近两天，最多只能支撑一天，一天之后它就会筋疲力尽，最后死亡；其次，受伤之后即使钢叉叉着，也会有血腥味，会引来各种鱼类进行捕食，由于金枪鱼有一个人和一条船的负担，加之它受伤了，速度不可能和原来一样快，很快金枪鱼就会被这样一些捕食者猎食，不可能维持两天，作者把这条鱼太神化了。

第二，这条金枪鱼被老人成功捕获后，在航行回去的途中，老人遇到了鲨鱼，当时的情况是：老人只拿了一块木板。作者在《老人与海》中写到老人用木板狠狠地击打着鲨鱼的脑袋，这木板的力量是得有多大啊，当时还有鲨鱼在旁边啃食着，老人只用木板就驱走了它们？这把老人太神化了！其实鱼类的智商是很高的，它们就这样甘愿被动挨打？那可是鲨鱼！不可能老人在两次攻击后还完好无损地回去。真实才可信，可信才感人。

前几天，我读了海明威的名著——《老人与海》，放下书后，我的心久久不能平静。

我觉得，老人之所以能在险恶的风浪与嗜血的鲨鱼中咬牙坚持下来，与他内心深处坚如磐石,绝不动摇的信念有关。而那信念便是两句话——“人不是为失败而生的”“一个人可以被毁灭，但绝不能被打败。”在许多人都无能为力的困境中，他从未想到退缩，而是坚强不屈，迎难而上甚至视死如归。尽管在与鲨鱼的斗争中，老人失败了，但他仍不失尊严，有着胜利者的风度。

The tale of two cities is a historical story， one of Dickens’ long fictions.The background to the novel is the revolution of France .It portrayed a brutal and bloody story ， but it also contained love and friendship.

In the novel， Dickens sarcastically described a typical cruel nobleman—marquis of Evermonde . When he was young he and his brother stole a countrywoman by force and killed her family .What’s worse ， he used his power to imprison Dr Manette ， a kind and honest man who knew all the things they had done and wanted to disclose their crimes . In order to hide their crimes. Marquis of Evermonde and his brother threw Doctor Manette into prison for 18 years . During these 18 years，Doctor Manette lost his freedom and suffer a great in spirit .

I felt unthinkable that Marquis of Evermonde and his brother killed people just as easily as they killed chickens. They deprived other people’s freedom as they liked and they thought it was normal and unremarkable. They had never realized that they had done something wrong or something improper. Because their nature was cruel and evil， like demons. There is an old saying which means： People who commit too many crimes will kill themselves. After all， there is justice in the world. The demons can’t be rampant forever. Because the world will not forgive them. They will pay their lives for their crimes. Let’s see the consequence of the Marquis，’’He lay there like a stone with a knife pushed into his heart.” I think it was just what he ought to gain and it is a real exciting scene.

The Marquis’ death was just the beginning of people’s resistance to the nobleman. Gradually more and more people joined in the revolution. One after another nobleman were sentenced to death and their heads were cut down . However， some innocent people were implicated in the revolution. Charles Darney was one of them He was the nephew of Marquis of Evermonde. To the opposite of his uncle， Darney was a kind and independent young man.

Dickens spoke highly of kindness mercy and love in the novel too. This is the other thone of the novel when Doctor Manette was released from prison. It was his daughter Lucie who took care of him and helped him return to normal. During this time， Dr manette and Lucie knew Charles Darney and Sydeny Carton， the two young man fell in love with Lucie at the same time . At last， Lucie married Chares Darney .Dr Manette accepted Darney as his son-in-law although he knew that Darney was the nephew of the man who threw him into prison for18 years. This is the love between father and daughter. And Sydeny Carton ， the very great man ，loved Lucie deeply. He promised Lucie that he would do everything for her happiness. He did it truely ，he sacrificed himself instead of Darney who looked the same as him. This is love for lovers . This is the most wonderful thing in the world. It also reminds us that no matter how no matter when there is true love existing. At the end ， Lucie， Dr Manette and Darney arrived in England safely.

The tale of two cities is different from other historical fictions. Its characters and main plots are fictional under the real background of the revolution of France. The author made the experience of the fictional charactor Dr Manette as the main clue.The plots are complicated， and they are flexuous and dramatic. The structure is complete and rigorous.

Dickens had dear love and hate. He praised those who ought to be praised and attacked those who ought to be attacked. The motivation of the novel maybe just warn the English dominators. But I think we can learn something meaningful from the tale of two cities.

回想一下老人的话：“人不是为失败而生的，一个人是可以毁灭的，而是不能被打败的”这是多么坚强的信念啊，他独自一人去捕鱼，在多次受到鲨鱼的撕咬下，自己辛辛苦苦捕捞的大马林鱼，就这样变成了鱼骨。面对这样巨大的损失，渔夫并不在乎，还能以乐观心态来应对。如果我们能学习渔夫坚持不懈的优秀品格的话，那么我们就会取得很好的成绩。

渔夫坚持不懈的精神让我想到我的学习，我的学习总是时好时坏，并不稳定，那是因为我的学习总是不坚持做课后习题，每一天只读半小时的书就算完成作业了。如果成绩不好的话就奋起直追，然后就渐渐好了起来。如果成绩好的话，又“旧病复发”了。如果我能坚持不懈地学成的话，成绩将变得更好。

我要向那位渔夫学习，学习他那坚持不懈、持之以恒的精神。

After I read the book that is called “The old man and the sea” I was deeply moved by the old man and his spirit.

The book written by Hemingway tells us a story that an old man whose name is Santiago went out to do some fishing on the sea on his own but down on his luck he hadn’t caught any fish for 84 days. Next day he caught a huge marlin which is bigger than his boat and took a formidable battle with it. He beat it at the end. When he was on the way home the smells of blood of the marlin draw a lot of sharks’ attention and they fought for it. In order to protect the marlin and him the old man tried his best to fight with them. After a cruel fight he won it and came back home tiredly. Although he only got a skeleton of the giant marlin at last he is also a great hero in many people’s heart.

In the article the old man is a great man. Although he failed for many time in his life he never gave up. He is a steel-willing man who insisted his dream and work hard. You can destroy him but you can’t beat him. Whatever he faced to he would never yield to the difficult which shows a strong spirit.

In our lives I think we should learn something from the old man which will make us have a more valuable life. Whenever and wherever we meet trouble we should never give up and try our best to overcome it. We should always keep on our dream and make it come true. Every one has his backbone which can’t be bended by anyone which is very important for everyone in his whole life. If we meet difficulty in our life we should face it bravely and work out some way to solve the problem whatever would happen at last. We can be destroyed but we can’t be beat by anything or anyone. If you failed for many times in your life you wouldn’t surrender because if you try to do it you may succeed in your life but if you do not do it you would not be succeed forever. Everyone has his advantages and disadvantages in his life but we should face to our disadvantages and we must be confident which would also make us be confident of our life. We should have faith in what we do in our life we will have a more beautiful life in the future and our dream will come true. We should pay more attention to what we do during our life rather than what we will get at the end because I think it is more important than any thing you get finally. If you enjoy you life not something you get you will have a meaningful life and a noble spirit. It will hurt you when you pay more attention to what you get in the future. It will also make you do something wrong which is bad for other people our society and our country.

I’m impressed by the sentence which is “We can be destroyed but we can’t be beat.” I think everyone should do it no matter what happen in our life. This book makes me know something I didn’t know in the past. The book and the old man have a great influence in my life. I love this book.

When Rose gets saved by one lifeboat that comes back, they take her to the Carpathia with the 6 saved with Rose and the 700 people saved in the lifeboats. The Carpathia Immigration Officer asks Rose what her name is and she loved Jack so much she says her name is not Rose DeWitt Bukator, but her name is Rose Dawson. She seen Cal looking for her, but he doesnt see her, and they never ended up together, her mom, Cal, and friends of the family has know choice but to think that she died on the Titanic. But in the crash of 1929, Cal is married, but then he put a pistol in his mouth and committed suicid. So Rose is an actress in the 20s, and now 84 years later Rose Calvert is 100 years old and tells her grand daughter Lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell, and Anatoly Mikailavich the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage, and then to Rose all Titanic and the real love of her life Jack Dawson is all an existence inside of her memory, and Titanic is to rest in peace at the bottom of the North Atlantic from 1912 until the end of time.

一个老人可以是疲倦苍老的，毕竟岁月确实剥夺了他奋起的决心，让他拖着满是风霜侵蚕食过的躯体，布满沟渠的脸上深陷的眼睛中，或许只能留下晦暗不清。但然而作者笔下的老人更胜很多青壮年，经过84天没有捕到一条鱼却仍然凭着坚忍不拔的毅力，带着恍若固执的决心，义无反顾的同大海搏斗，最终战胜“大马林鱼”，虽然已经被鲨鱼吃光，但哪怕只是留下的白色鱼骨，也确确实实的象征着那么一个“硬汉”形象。

《老人与海》这本海明威的著作，令许多人深思感慨的小说。时时刻刻歌颂着老人不畏艰辛，奋勇向前的精神也告诉着人们记住永不言败的重要性，哪怕最后的结果是失败，但至少你经历过！我们不能永远安于现状，要做一匹值得鞭策的马，跑上辉煌的高峰。没有半途而废，没有自哀自怜，这样。我们才能获得更大的成功和胜利。

《老人与海》是美国作家海明威于1951年在古巴写的的.一篇中篇小说，文章讲述了一位老人圣地亚哥，在捕获一只大马林鱼时，与其搏斗，战胜了许多常人难以想象的困难后，终于将其捕杀。但在归来的路途中，老人经历了更大的阻挠：闻着血腥味而来的一群群鲨鱼。鲨鱼贪婪的夺取着老人的劳动成果，圣地亚哥为捍卫自己的猎物，与其进行了更为残酷的斗争。一路上杀死了众多的掠夺者，但大马林鱼也只剩下了一副骨架，但老人却虽败犹荣，获得了精神上的最终胜利。

正因如此圣地亚哥凭着自己的勇气、毅力和智慧与大马林鱼和抢食的鲨鱼进行了奋勇的抗争。每战胜一条鲨鱼老人都付出了沉重的代价，大马林鱼的肉愈来愈少，最后遭到无可挽救的失败——大马林鱼虽然没有保住。但是，从另外一种意义上来说，那副骨架象征着老人的不屈，坚强，勇敢，毅力和智慧这些都是极为难得的人格品质。老人不但是一个胜利的失败者，也是一个失败的英雄。这种矛盾集合在他的身上，在文学上他正是典型的海明威式的小说人物。

文章总与历史相关联。在文中老人看来，大马林鱼是四十八天里钓到的第一条鱼，是一切美好事物的象征，是坏运气的结束，是新的开始。所以他搏斗，所以他不放弃。但是鲨鱼的存在象征着一切阻挠和破坏的力量，是阻止人们实现理想和目标的拦路虎，是各种邪恶势力的代表。这部小说正是写于上世纪50年代，也就是1951年。那时，海明威居住古巴，亲眼目睹了古巴人民争取民族的独立、民族解放的运动。所以说，主人公圣地亚哥不再是一个简单的打鱼人，而是古巴社会阶级的典型代表。这也是人类“硬汉精神”的真正来源。

《老人与海》赞扬了具有顽强意志力，不屈服于失败的人类。同样也提示我：人可以失败，但不可以被击败，外在的肉体可以接受折磨，但是内在的意志却是神圣不可侵犯的!

假期我读了海明威的小说《老人与海》。小说中老渔夫的意志令人钦佩，正是老人那种坚持不懈的精神，使他获得了成功。

小说描写的是一个年近六旬的老渔夫，在一次单身出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，怎么拉也拉不上来。老渔夫同鱼周旋了几天后，才发现这是一条超过自己渔船数倍的大马林鱼，虽然明知很难取胜，但仍不放弃。后来又因大马林鱼伤口上的鱼腥味引来了几群鲨鱼抢食，但老人仍不愿就这样放弃，经过几夜的努力，最终突出重围，将大鱼带回了渔港。

当我读到“大马林鱼开始快速地围着小渔船游动，将缆绳缠绕到了桅杆上……”时，我的心不禁提了起来，想，老人怎么办？他一定会退缩的。可是，结果却令我十分吃惊。书上说“老人右手高举着钢叉，在它跃出水面的一瞬间，竭尽全力地向它的心脏掷去，一声哀鸣结束了大鱼的生命，它静静地浮在水面上……”此时此刻，我的心也像一块千斤重的大石头落了地，终于松了一口气。

是啊，这位老渔夫多么顽强，面对困难，他毫不退缩，奋力挑战。尽管对手凶猛无比，比自己强大，可他仍旧鼓起勇气不气馁，沉着冷静不慌张。要知道这可是无边无际的大海啊！别人遇上这种事也许会被吓倒，不知所措，偃旗息鼓。可书中的老渔夫坚持不懈与大海搏斗，与强手较劲，在艰难中奋力拼搏，才获得了这场生死较量的胜利。我们在生活中也要学习老渔夫的精神，做事情不怕困难，才能取得成功。

看完《老人与海》这本书后，我觉得老人有着坚忍不拔的心，完成任何事，就算遇到许多困难，也不曾放弃。人生不如意十之八 九，每个人生大道不可能都是光明平坦，必定都有起起伏伏，我们需要毅力与勇往直前的心志，才可成大事。挫败是人生一段过程，虽然老人始终都没捕到鱼，但他不会善罢干休，就算被其他渔夫冷嘲热讽，也不会在乎别人的看法，依然继续捕鱼;我们可以克服它，使它成为成功的养分，伟人不都有这段经过吗?每个人都不喜欢失败，但失败是走上完美的台阶，我不得不克服困难，才能迎接美丽的春天。

海涅说：“春天的颜色，只有在冬天才能认清，火炉边才能吟出最好的五月诗篇。”没有经过一番的挫折，是不会有成就;挫折虽然使人痛苦，但是它使我们增长智慧和经验，让人生更有意义与价值;只要能从失败中寻求方法解决，相信难关都能一一被化解。

“书读百遍，其义自现”说明了读书的好处很多。所以这个暑假妈妈给我买了许多书，其中一本《老人与海》是我最感兴趣的一本。

书中的主人翁是一位老人，他住在一个小渔村里，说了他常年出海捕鱼为生，在很长一段时间里他一无所获。一天，他又像往常一样出海捕鱼，在等待了许久，一条大鱼上钩了！令老人吃惊的是，这条大鱼竟然比自己的船身还要长！凭着老人多年的捕鱼经验，要想捕获这条鱼就必须耗尽了它的力量。鱼挣脱不开，便一直拖着小船游。老人随着这条鱼在海上漂流了三天三夜，终于在老人的坚持下捕获了这条大鱼。他拖着鱼往回赶，谁曾想，正是这条大鱼引来了鲨鱼群，最终大鱼被鲨鱼吃得只剩下了骨架。老人这种永不言败的精神深深地震撼了我。

其实人生总是有坎坷的，只有坚持了成功才会大于失败。就像我刚刚开始学跳舞一样，先要练压腿和劈叉等一些基本功。那时还小，压腿还不算困难，但劈叉就有点困难了。每次劈都要靠着墙，因为只有这样才能劈直一些。虽然十分艰难，但我坚持了下来，最终克服了这个困难。如果人生中一帆风顺，没有一件不顺心的事发生，那我们也就不可能从这当中吸取教训。但遇到了不顺心的事，一定不能轻易放弃，要努力要坚持，相信自己一定会成功！

在我们遇到困难之时，记住要坚持，胜利就在我们眼前。

在读了一本很厚的书后，我们一定绝得很疲倦。但这本书却能让你精神百倍，它就是著名作家海明威的代表作--《老人与海》。

故事讲了老人圣地亚哥已经八十四天没有钓到鱼了，是渔夫们永远记住的一个奇迹。而他的朋友—男孩马诺林也被他的父母安排到另外一艘渔船上去了。在那艘渔船上，马诺林捕到了很多大鱼，马诺林一家一下子就变得有钱了。第八十五天的时候，马诺林给了圣地亚哥四条新鲜的沙丁鱼，并祝圣地亚哥能捕到大鱼，这次圣地亚哥决定去最深的海域，结束这八十四天的霉运。很快，他就到了被渔夫成为“大井”的那片海域，这里的水有一千米深，是天然的，丰富的鱼饵“大井”。圣地亚哥的船仍在前行，因为这片“大井”并不是他的目标。终于，一天大鱼上钩了，这是一条大马林鱼，而且这条鱼非常聪明，它一直牵着小船走。但圣地亚哥凭借着他的捕鱼经验和大鱼殊死搏斗，终于把大鱼钓了上来。

“一个人可以被消灭，但不能被打败”这句话鼓舞着圣地亚哥，鼓舞着所有人！也鼓舞了我自己。

信念是生命的源泉，它让小草破土而出，迎接生命的第一缕阳光；它让平凡的蚕蛹挣脱茧的束缚，开始第一次飞翔；它让生命短暂的夏蝉唱响整个夏天；它让坚强的人们战胜巨大的困难。

最近我读了《老人与海》，书中的老人让我非常感动和佩服。他是个渔夫，孑然一身，驾着小船。在墨西哥湾流中钓鱼，连续84天一无所获。我们可以想象一下，84天没捕到鱼是个多么大压力！

但书中的主角桑地亚哥却不这么觉得，希望和信心从未在他的心中消失过，因为他还记得，曾经他有八十七天没有捕到大鱼，但接下来的三个礼拜却天天捕到大鱼。

八十五是个吉利数字。那天凌晨时分，月亮还没有消失，老人出海了！他的信心焕然一新，如同乍起的微风。老人终于在第85次捕到了一条大鱼，但这条鱼实在太大了，把他的小船在海上拖了三天才筋疲力尽，他杀死绑在小船的边上，但在归程中又碰到鲨鱼的袭击，于是，老人与鲨鱼进行了殊死搏斗，最后回来时只剩下鱼头鱼尾和一条脊骨。这些可能在一些人眼里他一文不值，但在老人眼里却是巨大的收获。

是什么力量让老人坚持下来？当我读到作者海明威在书中的一句名言：“一个人并不是生来就要给打败的，你可以很被毁灭，却不能打败。”我豁然明白，老人就是靠着这种顽强和勇敢的意志，挑战一次又一次危险，征服了大鱼，战胜了鲨鱼。

回想自己，经常碰到一点点困难就不耐烦，经常因考试成绩不好而失落，对自己没有信心，这些和经受了那么多打击的老渔夫相比，是多么不值一提。

“世界无难事，只怕有心人。”我们要像书中的老渔夫一样，心中有颗信念的种子，勇敢迎接挑战，努力不放弃。
