我过了许多个枯燥无味的假期，这个假期我希望能疯狂一下，于是我做了一件我以前都不敢做的事——出去卖东西，令我没有想到的是，父母居然同意了。

但是卖什么呢？这是个问题，我想了许久，碰巧那天我去姥姥家吃饭。姥姥给妹妹买了两条金鱼，但家里没有鱼缸，于是把金鱼放在了一个透明的塑料瓶子里，瓶子里还有原来养水仙剩下的海绵宝宝，五颜六色的海绵宝宝和红色的小鱼搭配十分好看。唯一美中不足的是瓶子有些太简陋了，我由此获得了灵感。

我让爸爸从淘宝上买了些玻璃瓶子、小鱼和海绵宝宝，我在每一个玻璃瓶子里放上三条鱼，瓶底放上许多海绵宝宝，效果很好，妈妈说：“好看是好看，可就是有些不实用。”我点点头，却想不到还有什么好办法了。

我在昨天晚上七点半和朋友出去摆的摊。我的摊子刚摆好就迎来了一会客户，两位老人带着他们的孙女过来了，小女孩在我的摊子边上看了半天的小鱼，最后还是眨了眨眼睛望向她身后的两位老人。

我等了许久也不见第二个客户，晓洁胆子比我大许多，每当有人向这里看时，她会甜甜的笑着说：“五块钱一个瓶子送三条小鱼，里面还有许多海绵宝宝。”但是那些人不是说鱼太小了，便是没看也就走过去了。

我们总结了为什么没有顾客的原因，一、是因为我们没有带手电筒，还处于灯光较暗的区域，我们不是那么显眼，二、可能是因为那些人不相信这些鱼可以养活，也就是说我们要尽力的推销一下，把重点放在小鱼上，而不是瓶子上。为了吸引顾客，我借来了妈妈的手机，我打开了妈妈手机上的手电筒，照亮盆里的鱼，因为鱼更吸引人，如果照瓶子别人可能就没有兴趣了。

在我们改变了方式以后，我们又成交了两笔生意。虽然说一个晚上只成交了三笔生意，但是我已经很满意了，我起初以为晚上不会有人买我的小鱼的。

在晚上收摊子时，我与晓洁又讨论了一会，我们决定第二天来早一些，来占地盘。容易让看到的位置已经被那些大人占住了，我们只能摆着阴暗的小角落里。倘若明天来找一些，我们便可以把摊子摆那些能让人看到的地方，相信那样顾客会更多的。

其实学习和卖东西一样，我们要边学边进行总结，若不换个角度思考或是总结，那我们可能一晚上都只有那一笔生意了。

十月的广东还是夏天的样子，这次国庆假期我又一次领略了海的味道。

汽车行驶在从佛山往台山的高速公路上。驾驶座上是我的爸爸，副驾驶上是我的妈妈。因为姨妈他们一家人早上已经出发，在我们美美地吃完中饭之后，姨妈通知我们现在路上的堵车没那么多了，所以我们也按捺不住激动的心，踏上了旅途。两个小时之后，经过一座跨海大桥，到了一座只有两条街的小镇——那是我妈妈十九年前的时光——继续沿着弯弯的县道往前，车子缓缓地开上了山坡，山路往右一转，整片大海在我们的左边出现了，山太陡又太高，我看不到山脚下的海岸线，只看见碧绿的海水延伸到目光的尽头，那几乎到天边的我所能看到最远的地方竟然是一排黛色的小小的山峰。没错，这是一道海峡。

山路往下走，不久，便进了一个村庄。这个村庄旧旧的破破的，好多老房子在夜幕刚刚降临的时候变成一团团的深黑。借着车灯，我们停在一颗榕树下面，旁边已经挤满了车。我们下车步行，绕过几道小巷，就见到了沙滩。海浪正一波又一波地朝沙滩扑来。沙滩是长长的窄窄的一条，斜斜地刺进海水里，似乎踏进海水一步就能掉到海底。沙滩背靠着海基，沿着海基盖的这些房子又高又大，靠海的这一面挂满了灯笼照亮了整个海滩，一派节日的气氛。海滩已经被人群占领，有的在烧烤，有的在奔跑，有的在戏水，当我们找到姨妈和表弟时，他们正在玩烟花呢！小表弟手上拿着一根正在燃烧的烟花棒甩来甩去，周围的人都在用广东话跟他说：“朝水里放！朝水里放！”远处的烟花“呯”的一声把我的目光吸引到空中，烟花散落之后，夜空中无数盏孔明灯像一颗颗红宝石和黄宝石，它们当中，最亮最圆的那一颗就是月亮了。月亮映着海面的波光，大地也披上了一层淡淡银装，真是“秋江潮水连海平，海上明月共潮生。”

I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the plant life of the area.
