Before I came here，I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge about other countries， which can‘t be got from my books in school. Three months ago， I took my first class. Unfortunately， I felt so embarrassed， because I even can’t speak any words， though I know I really love English .

夏日炎炎，又到了暑假的日子。暑假是我很喜欢的假期，这次我的假日也过得十分充实，多姿多彩。

首先我看了四本书，其中包括《昆虫记》《寂静的春天》《红星照耀中国》《星星离我们有多远》等。其中，我最喜爱的就是《昆虫记》。法布尔笔下的昆虫十分生动有趣，不仅让我看的很有趣，而且我还学到了许多关于昆虫的知识。我其实在看《寂静的春天》时，并不是很喜欢，我认为它是一本小说，细细读完之后没想到是呼吁人们保护环境的一本书。

暑假的时候，我还去了新华书店，我以前也去过，不过都是去买书的，这次却是来看的。书店只有椅子和桌子，有些人没有座就直接席地而坐了，只是遗憾的是有些书并没有开封，所以不能看，让人有些心痒痒。

暑假期间，姐姐回来了，所以家中的做饭的大任务就交给我们俩了。以前我也做过一两道菜，但那只是仅仅两道菜。所以，我的只要任务还是打下手。姐姐负责炒菜和切菜，我偶尔切一切，只不过都是配菜，不常切主菜。在瞧瞧姐姐娴熟地炒菜时，我有点羡慕，我什么时间可以让自己做饭呀，不过暑假那么长，一定可以自己掌勺，做出我自己喜爱的菜。

我们去北京的好几个景点游玩了，天安门、故宫、长城、十三陵等。“不到长城非好汉”我一直认为这句话很夸张，直到你真正站在长城上时，你才能明白，其中奥秘。长城，顾名思义，像一条巨龙盘旋在山上，雄壮巍峨的气势浑然天成。长城上面还有几个烽火台，虽然略显老旧，但并不影响它的气势。可是就在这么豪壮的地方，却有些人在长城的石壁上刻着“XX，到此一游”，让人心生厌烦。

这个假期我过得十分充实，不仅享受的生活，还扩大了视野，更是增长了知识，让我的暑假变得多彩，我是永远不会忘记这次假期的。
