我快步跑到他前面去一看，他居然在低头玩手机。我上去拍拍他的肩说：“小朋友，走路不能玩手机，太危险了。我就曾经上过当，走路玩手机，撞到电线杆子上了！”那男孩抬起头，将手机放进口袋里。看我一脸真诚，咧嘴笑了一下，说了句：“谢谢！”便昂首挺胸地走了。

“今晚的月亮，好圆啊！”我高兴地说。

“助人为乐，心情不错呀！”爷爷摸摸我的头，很欣慰地笑着。

假期第二天，我跟着爷爷奶奶去一个餐馆参加亲人聚餐。刚吃到一半时，听到对面房间里闹腾得厉害。突然传出一声大嗓门儿：“不求同年同月同日生，但求同年同月同日死。兄弟！干！”紧接着是一片哄笑声。

一女高音响起：“你们是父子，这是要结拜成兄弟啊？哈哈哈，笑死我啦！”

看来，是有人喝醉了。这些话也逗得我们这桌哈哈大笑起来。

我们吃完饭后下楼时，看到一个中年男人步履踉跄，不知怎的，一脚踏空，便摔下楼去，躺在地上嘴里还在念：“喝！一起喝！”把餐馆工作人员吓得不知所措。所幸楼不高，并无大碍。

奶奶见状，便对爷爷说：“你看他喝醉了酒，好危险啊！险些摔伤。还在外面丢人现眼，多难堪呀！你以后莫喝酒了。”

爷爷若有所思地点了点头：“说的是啊！以后我再喝酒……”

“一个星期不准看电视！”我赶忙接了下去。

电视迷爷爷把我的肩重重一拍，大声说：“好！一言为定！爷爷请你监督执行！”

在场的亲人们都哈哈大笑起来。

中秋佳节，本是万家团圆的美好时光。这个中秋节，我却目睹了这些惊险而又有些搞笑的事。我记下这些事，提醒大家：平安，才能高高兴兴地团圆哦。

the first day of the lunar new year is "the welcoming of the gods of the heavens and earth."

many people abstain from meat on the first day of the new year because it is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives for them.

on the second day, the chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. they are extra kind to dogs and feed them well as it is believed that the second day is the birthday of all dogs.

the third and fourth days are for the sons-in-laws to pay respect to their parents-in-law.

the fifth day is called po woo. on that day people stay home to welcome the god of wealth.

no one visits families and friends on the fifth day because it will bring both parties bad luck.

on the sixth to the 10th day, the chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. they also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.

the seventh day of the new year is the day for farmers to display their produce.

these farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion. the seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.

on the eighth day the fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to tian gong, the god of heaven.

the ninth day is to make offerings to the jade emperor.

the 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner.

after so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.

the 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the lantern festival which is to be held on the 15th night.

Dear Santa Claus,

Hello! Im Yoyo. Do you remember? You have on Christmas Eve, give me a lot

of crayons, colored paper, pencil case. As a thank-you, I put cookies in my

Christmas stocking. Thank you for so many years of hard work, so that every one

of our children can receive gifts. I was very happy when I received your gift

last year. I went to my school to tell my classmates that I received your gift.

But It never occurred to me that my classmates would not believe it. But Im not

paying attention to them! Because mama said, "As long as you have something

beautiful to look forward to, something beautiful will always be around you."

For our children, you are the most amiable and respectable person in the world,

you gave us each of the children most hope of the gift.

We can get a Chinese New Year lucky money every year,but not all the reasonable use of it.I will get a part of to my parents,the other one is by their own bank.My parents also support me to do so.

In my opinion,this is a reasonable approach.Because many peoples self-control is not good,if all the money on his own,it will quickly spend it.But if he do not have any money,and no way to buy want to buy things.Therefore,it is to help parents keep a part of the money,other part of the money to retain our hands.

If my parents deposit New Years money in the bank,Ill spend in college when it as my living expenses.

MCEA (Maywood Chinese Education Association). Your letter clearly articulates

all the major reasons children in Maywood will benefit from studying the Chinese

language as part of their elementary school education. It provides invaluable

support that will help making bilingual Chinese education a reality in Maywood

Although MCEA would like to see Palo Alto public schools implement the

first bilingual Chinese kindergarten class in September of 2006, we have learned

that the school district must take the time to understand how a new program will

affect existing educational offerings, and to validate community interest.

bilingual Chinese education in the Palo Alto public schools and will keep you
