八月，天气晴好。我和好朋友们一起去敦煌莫高窟游玩。

莫高窟里有许许多多的小窟，有些小窟是僧人打坐用的，有些小窟则是有雕塑和壁画，都是佛像和菩萨，栩栩如生、十分精美，人物的衣服也雕塑得十分精致，线条自然如行云流水，还贴了金片。因为唐朝的人物审美是以胖为美的，所以佛像都显得微胖且优雅美观。

雕塑的制作分五步。第一步，用木头摆出雕塑的大致形状;第二步，在木头上盖一层麦秆;第三步，在麦秆上再盖一层泥巴;第四步，雕塑;第五步，上色，之后就成了色彩鲜艳、精美绝伦的雕塑了。

敦煌莫高窟的壁画也十分精美。壁画有些是用铅做材料的，所以时间久了变成黑色了。有些是从丝绸之路运来的宝石制作的，人们把宝石中的杂质去掉，做成颜料，至今还未褪色。壁画上画的都是佛、人间故事，还有荷花——荷花出淤泥而不染，是佛教的象征。着名的壁画《反弹琵琶》也用荷花点缀了，画了一个个乐队，一个女子在反弹琵琶形象生动，至今仍未褪去鲜艳的颜色。

一个制作精美的石窟需要花上30年的时间才能大功告成。当清代人看到雕塑和壁画褪色后，就重新修缮了一次，可惜他们不懂艺术，结果弄巧成拙，反而使许多艺术珍品被他们破坏了。幸好一些晚发现的石窟里仍是唐代的原作。

Make sure the spout of the teapot is not facing anyone. It is impolite to set the teapot down where the spout is facing towards somebody. The spout should always be directed to where nobody is sitting, usually just outward from the table.

Dont tap on your bowl with your chopsticks.Beggars tap on their bowls, so this is not polite.Also, when the food is coming too slow in a restarant, people will tap their bowls. If you are in someones home,it is like insulting the cook.
