电影讲述的是一位痴迷摇滚乐、而又一事无成的吉他手杜威费恩，为了生存，冒充别人当了一名代课教师。就在他蒙混过日子期间，无意间在音乐课上发现孩子们的音乐天赋，他给孩子们安排了各种任务，并且给他们鼓励和支持，让他们根据自己的爱好发展。就在他们紧锣密鼓地练习中，他的计划被校长和孩子们的家长得知，遭到了他们的强烈指责。在他灰心失意时，他得到了孩子们的肯定，于是，重新振作起来，和孩子们一起自编自演，登上舞台，完美地演绎了他们的摇滚乐，得到了观众和曾经反对过他们的人的赞许。

“你知道我是个优等生，有好的成绩却没有灵魂，发表意见前总要举手，想法总得不到实现……”这首结尾曲，让我感到，在家长眼里，听话乖巧才是好孩子;在老师眼里，成绩优秀、遵纪守法就是好学生。但是，一味地循规蹈矩、在家人制定的条条框框中生活，就会失去自我，没有了自己的空间。

周恩来为中华之崛起而读书，激励着他为之奋斗了一生。他为了民族的独立、国家的振兴鞠躬尽瘁，死而后已，正因为有了梦想的追求。

如果没有那一句响亮的誓言，那一个远大的志向，也许就没有我们幸福生活的今天，没有祖国辉煌灿烂的今天。

一个人，若没有了梦想，就没有了持之以恒的追求，没有了为之奋斗的目标，没有了奋发前进的动力。
