As for me,i think its a extremely good idea to follow.And there are lots of things we can do to contribute our efforts to it.For example,when we go out for dinner,we can just order as much food as we can eat to make sure little will be wasted.Of course if we really cant eat up our food,its also ok to take it home,so we can eat it later.Besides,once we have a chance to have meals with other people,who dont realize the importance,we can explain what the program is for and persuade them from wasting food.

Some may question whether the campaign have any effect,but,i think ,one thing we should keep in mind is that no matter what a small effort we make,it do make a difference.

In the past twenty years, China has faced three American presidents, but till coming to Yale today, I never realized that China really just faced one university. Although, through these three presidents, I understand that the quality of Yale graduates is not so even.

Let me begin my main subject and let me give it a title, called “My Story and the Chinese Dream Behind It”. I want to talk about five particular years. The first is 1968. That year I was born. But it was also a chaotic year for the world. In France, there was this huge street disturbance, and in America, too. Then President Kennedy was assassinated. However, I really did not cause all of these! But that year what we remember more was the assassination of Mr. Martin Luther King. 我决定三天不喝水来做做实验。第一天居然什么事儿也没有，我便说道：“切，不喝水有什么了不起，我一个月不喝水都没任何问题！”第二天，口开始干了，但还是没有多大的问题，饭吃饱就没有关系了。到了第三天，实在不行，我口干得只有咽口水，坚持不下去了，我拿起五瓶矿泉水，“哗哗哗”，水就像溪水似的流进我的肚子，吓得老妈直瞪大了眼睛。不到五分钟，我全喝光了，然后舒坦的说：“水真好，真好，渴死我了！”经过这一次的实验，我虽明白了水对我们很重要，但是还没弄明白人为什么离不开水。我决定去问博学多才的爸爸！

我跑去书房，问道：“爸爸，人为什么离不开水？”爸爸捋捋胡子，装成一个大学问家的样子，说道：“这个嘛，是因为组成人体的细胞需要水来维持。”我摇摇头：“不明白，您能说仔细点吗？”“水是构成生物体的基本成份。不论是动物还是植物，均以水维持最基本的生命活动。人可数天无食，不可一天无水，所以水是生命之源泉，水也是人类最必须的营养素之一。”我又问道：“那为什么人体需要水，而不需要木头、石头这些东西呢？”爸爸有解释道：“水是吸收营养，输送营养物质的介质，又是排泄废物的载体，人通过水在体内循环完成着新陈代谢过程。在这个过程中水还具有人体散热，调节体温，润滑关节和各内脏器官等等作用，它对人类的生命至关重要，如果失水10%——20%，就会危及生命。所以说，水是生命的源泉一点儿都不过分！”

我明白了，我又问道：“那人每天究竟需要多少水呀？”爸爸挠挠脑门，说道：“这个……具体我也不知道，自己去查阅一下资料吧！”

后来在资料上，我翻阅到：正常人每天从饮食和饮水中摄取的水分，成年人大约为2500毫升每日，摄入水量的多少一般应与人体每日排水量的平衡。例如成人每日尿量平均约1500毫升，皮肤和呼吸道排出约800毫升，粪便100—200毫升，总计约2500毫升。

古今中外都有大量的记载，不论是“长寿村”，还是一些地方发生的地方病，原因都与当地的饮水有关，好水带来了健康，污染水带来了疾病。所以大家一定要保护水资源！

Golden week means long vacation. I’m in favor of the existing of golden week. Every year, I’m looking forward to its coming. Im now living in a small house with my parents. Life for us is hard but
