my deepest sympathy on the people in the disastrous area. So I donated some

money and clothes to them. And I also prayed for the dead people sincerely. I

eagerly hope that there would be no earthquakes in the future, so that we could

live a more peaceful life.

There is a library in every university, some schools pay special attention

to the building of the library, because the library always on behalf of

presentation of a school. We can find all kinds of books in the room, library

provides convenience, but it still has space to improve.

On the one hand, we can check the information and go to the library every

day. It is open all the week, and the time is from 8 o’clock to 10 o’clock. For

students, they can go to the place all the time. What’s more, the book they want

is easy to find, they can check on the computer, and find the number

quickly.

On the other hand, the library needs to improve its equipment. The books on

the library are very old, it is not good for students to do some research paper.

The amount of the computer is not enough, I always find the students wait for

the computer, while some students need to use the computer for a long time. So

there will be better if increase the number of the computer.

Despite these drawbacks, I am generally pleased with the library and hope

that it will continue to make improvement in the future.

The summer holiday is ing soon. What will I do in my summer holiday? I am going to go on a trip with my parents.

I’m going to Dongguan Park in my summer holiday. I will go with my parents. We are going to eat good food and see the flowers in Dongguan Park. We are going to climb mountains， too. We can have a picnic there and we can read magazines there， too. Of course， We will take many photos in the park.

When it comes to success, different people have different opinions about

what makes it come true. Some people regard hard-working as an essential quality

to success while others believe being clever would lead to success. From my

point of view, I think perseverance and hard-working are indispensable for those

who want to make an achievement.

Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people

want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal

and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people

who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I

think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have

perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if

In the July 23, my good friend birthday. I bought a large delivery of her baby, and several friends to celebrate with him. We eat lunch in Louisville, Kentucky, and then we go to amusement parks. 在乡下待了八年，终于我将留在上海爸爸妈妈的身边，他们依旧没有改变他们的工作，在我12岁时，他们毅然决然的选择回到家乡，爸爸改当货车司机，妈妈成了一个会计，一年收入也多了起来，但又要分开，我和姐姐要在城关上学，他们在马店，坐车得一个多小时。不过现在总算是苦尽甘来，爸爸在城关买了一套房子。我们在这安家了，妈妈在家当起了家庭主妇。

不管过了多少年，我们一家人都会幸福的！

One day I was on a bus. I found an elderly woman standing in front of me. She had a big bag in her hand. "Its a virtue for a young person to help the old,"I said to myself. On Oct 1st, the National Day of China this year, dad, mom and I went to Beijing on a package tour arranged by the travel agency. I was so happy because its the first time that I visit the Great Wall.

The Great Wall, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was enlisted in the World Heritage in 1987.We took the bus to arrive at the foot of the Great Wall. I began to climb the dreamed Great Wall. At first I did not feel tired, but after I stepped a thousands of steps I felt tired and thirsty. At last, we stood on the highest point of the Great Wall. A Chinese saying goes like that, “you are not a real hero until you have climbed the Great Wall”. The landscape outside and inside the Great Wall was so beautiful in this autumn!

As time goes by, many things have lost their colors.But I still remember the unforgettable experience that I had in middle school.

About one month ago, my parents worked in another city.I lived by myself.I nearly forgot my birthday.But my teacher and my classmates remembered it.They held a small party for me at noon.We sang and danced happily.I was deeply moved.It was a special party for me.I will remember it for ever. I learned much from this.As Grade 9 students, we should care for others.

As the Christmas Day is coming, our class decided to send some gifts to our

teachers, because we wanted to show our gratitude to them. At first, we had no

idea what to buy, because we wanted to do something special. So at last an idea

came to my mind. I advised to write a card, pasting some pictures of classmates

on it. Everybody agreed with me, so we spent a day to take some funny pictures,

and everybody wrote down their names on the card. When we sent this gift to the

teachers, they loved it so much. They were so impressed by this precious

surprise and would keep it forever.

Today is mothers birthday, but I didnt know what to by for her.A watch was a good present, but it was too expensive for me to buy.Flowers were not so expensive, but they would die soon.A birthday cake was too sweet and mother didnt like it.

现在离放假还有三星期，我的心里早就盘算着一件事——我要去打工。

暑假有两个月的时间，我想利用这两个月挣钱。于是我让朋友打听有没有活儿干，可令我失望的是，直到放假也没有找到一份工作。

刚考试完，我拿着七块钱马不停蹄地跑到理发店弄了个新发型，回家就被奶奶骂了一个晚上。我理的是鸡冠头，她觉得我像街上的流氓。第二天早上，立刻拉着我到理发店把头发剪了。就这样，我的新发型只存活了一个晚上。我不知道当时为什么一时兴起弄了个那样的发型，也许就是赶潮吧。我在家呆了一个月，直到头发长上来。我去找朋友玩，他突然对我说：找到活儿了，你去不？在郑州的一个厂子里，我爸在那儿。去！我一口就答应了。

回到家，我立刻告诉奶奶这个消息。奶奶答应了，给了我二百元钱，说是来回的车费，还给我准备了一大包东西。我知道，这就是爱。这天晚上，突如其来的激动让我睡不着觉，一想到明天要出去打工，就让我十分兴奋。

早上五点钟，奶奶就把饭做好了。我吃完饭到朋友家里会合，是爷爷骑电动车把我送去的。我让爷爷回去，可不一会儿他又来了。我们坐上了一个朋友父亲的车，他要把我们送往洛宁，然后坐大巴到郑州。爷爷一直在车外看着，直到我在车里看不见他为止。瞬间，我的鼻子酸酸的，有种想哭的感觉，我强忍着没有哭出来。到了洛宁，刚坐上车，手机就响了，是奶奶打来的。到了那儿，给我打电话，包里有吃的还有水，饿了就吃，一定小心，别和朋友走散了。好，好，知道了。

坐了四个小时大巴，手机又响了，还是奶奶的电话。到了吗？快了！到了给我打电话。记住了，一定要小心！知道了。我有点儿不耐烦，这么大了，我还不能照顾好自己吗？但我知道，这就叫爱，关爱。

到了郑州，我立刻给奶奶报平安。郑州太热了，我拿的几个鸡蛋都坏完了。一到厂里，我们就开始干活儿。干活的地方比外面更热，在一个彩钢棚里，密不透风，就像蒸馒头一样，进去走一圈都得出一身汗，更何况我们还要不停的干活儿。一天九个半小时，早上从七点干到十一点半，下午从一点半正热的时候干到六点半，那时过一天比过一年还长。我们咬牙坚持了五天。第五天时厂里说不要童工，让我们全都回去，听到这我高兴极了，第六天就坐车回家。

经历了那五天艰苦的日子，我懂得了很多。我明白挣钱不容易，我更明白只有学习才是硬道理。

暑假在不知不觉中，已经过去了一大半。

假期，妈妈给我报了跆拳道，让我锻炼锻炼身体。第一天去上课，我又激动又紧张。班里大多都是男生，没有女生，我感觉自己像个“国宝”一样，大家用惊讶的目光看着我。我们上课，一般分为三个部分：第一节课是自由锻炼，第二节课是老师指导我们做动作，我从中学到了很多：前踢、横踢、侧踢、马步冲拳、上格档、中格档、下格档……第三节课是体能训练或是游戏时间。我在这里认识了一些新朋友和新老师，我喜欢跆拳道，它是非常有趣的。

暑假期间，除了暑假作业，我还学会了钢笔字和毛笔字。写钢笔字，我是在描写字帖之后，在米字格上练习，我看着自己的钢笔字一天比一天写得好，我好高兴。可是毛笔字就没有钢笔字写得顺利。妈妈告诉我，不要着急，只有不断地练习，才能写出好的字。我知道妈妈是安慰我的，我要继续练习毛笔字。在家里，我会帮妈妈做一些家务，妈妈夸我是个好孩子。

天气炎热，爸爸带着我和弟弟去游泳。我们换上泳衣，戴上眼镜，一下跳进泳池，哇，可真凉快!泳池里有很多好玩的：水上跷跷板、喷水枪、会下雨的房子、超刺激的水上滑滑梯……我和弟弟一会儿玩喷水枪，一会儿玩水上跷跷板……我们玩得太开心了，都忘记时间了。

It has been two years since I first got to university. Some of my

classmates say that the college life is boring, because they have plenty of time

but do not know what to do. However, from my point of view, the campus life in

college is interesting and colorful as long as you make it meaningful.

In the first semester in college, I didnt relax and I still worked hard as

I was in the senior school. I usually spent two hours in study at night and I

went to the classroom forautonomous learning.But the difference is that I have

many extracurricular activities. For example, I went to the English Corner

regularly on Tuesday night, in which I could practice my spoken English and make

friends with common interests.

Besides, I join the Student Union of my department. In the Student Union, I

have a group of workmates who work hard together and support to each other.

Actually, it looks like a big, warm family that we can share our lives together.

During various activities, I realize the importance of team spirit that helps us

go further.

Finally, college is great stage to improve a student and show ones

abilities. In college, I know more about our society and get more channels to

explore the outside world. I realize that I am not only a student but also an

adult who is preparing to step into the society.

In short, I cherish my life in college campus and I will try hard to make

it colorful as well as meaningful.

Most smokers are males, because they need to smoke for social communication

or for set themselves free from the pressure. In the packaging, we can find that

every packaging has written the words that smoking is harmful to health. Though

smokers know it, they ignore it. For the harmony of the family, people should

quit smoking.

To quit smoking is not easy, people know smoking does harm to their health,

but they just can’t resist the temptation and then start to smoke again, so they

must have strong will. They must tell themselves that smoking not only does harm

to their health, but also does harm to their families. The families will have

much chance to take in the second-hand cigarette, in order to keep the families

healthy, smokers must have the strong will to quit smoke.

want to smoke again. At that time, people can find some food or fake cigarette

to take place of the real cigarette, in the long time, they will have less

desire to smoke.

Recently, I have seen an impressive film—“Meet the Parents”, which is about

a woman Palm brought her boyfriend Greg to her parents’ home to spend holiday.

In the film, Greg was so dishonest to Palm’s parents that Palm’s father is

suspicious of his behavior and quality. As a result, Greg is obnoxious to all

and has to leave. As far as I am concerned, the consequence is heavily caused by

his dishonesty. If Greg could be real him all the time, he would get much

respect and appreciation and would not get much frustration. From the film, I

have learned that being honest was extremely important and necessary. In other

words, being honest is a basic principle for us to deal with others.

For one thing, we will not get others’ trust unless we are honest. If we

deceive others, we would get the same in return, and even no one would make

friends with us or even communicate with us. For another, we will get others’

respect and appreciation if telling the truth. Telling the truth and being

ourselves, we will get a healthy and peaceful surrounding to grow up better.

However, something strange happens in our society. There is a strange

phenomenon that honest people suffer but the dishonest benefit a lot. It made

some people have a suspicion that being honest is not so important.

But I still believe that these are just a few cases, since honesty is

deeply rooted in our minds and we still consider it as a basic principle in

social contacts.

Every year, my school holds sports meeting in about October, I am very

exciting about it, I can watch the wonderful game and don’t have class. My

school’s sports meeting lasts three days, the class is suspended, all the

students go to the play ground to watch the game. As an audience, I am so

nervous and yell out “come on” to my classmate, watching they get to the final

line, I am so proud of them. The part I like most is relay race, that is so

exciting, all the students yell loudly, the athletes chase one by one, nobody

can be sure who is the champion until the last minute. Sports meeting bring me

so many beautiful memories.
