上小学二年级时，偶尔捡到一本被人丢弃已残缺不全的古书，到现在我还奇怪自己当时竟无师自通地将那本艰涩难懂的书“读”完了，虽说读得云里雾里，但从那以后我对书的渴求便疯长如夏季的雨林，常常为书中各种人物或喜或怒，似痴如狂，为人物的命运而魂牵梦绕，柔肠百结。我像一尾快乐的鱼儿在书的海洋中畅游，如饥似渴的汲取着琼浆玉液。书中的精警之语就像广阔的海洋中漂浮着奇珍异宝，溢光流彩，使我如痴如醉。通过她，我欣赏了贝多芬、肖邦不朽的旋律，罗曼·罗兰和巴尔扎克永恒的声音，领略了丹纳、罗素闪光的哲理，李白、苏东坡恣肆的文笔，孔子、王国维精辟的思想。读到精彩处，或颔首，或惊讶；为其中精辟独到的见解而折服，不时发出“妙哉妙哉”的赞叹。

书不但满足了我的求知欲，而且弥补了我精神世界的空虚。我从中汲取了一种精神，一种积极的、向上的东西，使我少了意气用事的莽撞、睚眦必报的狭隘，不再为芝麻粒般的琐事斤斤计较、大伤肝脾。每当我为取得萤火虫光般大小的成绩而沾沾自喜时，书令我惊醒；每当我彷徨迷惘时，书给我启示。她使我少了些浮躁，多了份淡泊，使我豁达乐观的面对生活。

书不仅丰富了我的精神生活，也丰富了我的情感世界，使我成了一个具有辞让之心、恻隐之心、是非之心、羞恶之心的人。

书是我生命的支点，我喜欢书。

There are many festivals in China. Among them, I like the Spring Festival most. Not only because it’s the biggest festival in the year, but also because it’s a new beginning that brings hope to people and it’s time for family gathering. Before the festival, people come home no matter where they are. Usually, we have a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve.

And then families sit together and share their lives or planes. Some will play games or hang out to have some fun. On the New Year’s Day, people get up early and say good words to anyone they meet. Children can get lucky money from relatives.

In the following days, we will visit relative’s home and bring New Year’s wishes to them. In short, it’s a time for family gathering and all of us enjoy it.

i spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. i used to run about every day in previous  summer vacations， but this summer vacation i simply could not afford to do so. i would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. though those examinations were still a year away， i had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things i had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. at first i was rather dismayed at the thought of this， but later i thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer i could count on  endless happy summers to e. with this in mind i then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. i was not at all bored by this kind of life， for i was sustained by a hope.

Looking forward to the stars, looking forward to the moon, and finally a long summer vacation. I had a full and happy holiday this year.

The pleasure of reading a holiday. Taking advantage of the summer vacation, reading well, reading more, can increase knowledge, this is a good plan. If you do some reading notes, write a few article about, the harvest will be greater. During the summer vacation, I seriously review the knowledge of primary school, the previous exercise volume after the study once again; I also participated in the “ 100% ” the training class, the first preview content, do you; I also read "how to make steel", "water Hu Zhuan" "stars spring water", etc. see masterpiece, "special attention", "meaning" and other magazines, I have benefited greatly, feel the pleasure of reading.

The pleasure of holiday travel. This summer vacation, I and my mothers trip to Gansu in Qinghai are unforgettable. We visited many natural and historical sites, beautiful Qinghai Lake, magnificent Jiayuguan, mysterious Mogao Grottoes, mysterious Crescent Spring &hellip, ·, and everything is forgettable. One of the most impressive is the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, more than 50 thousand pieces of ancient cultural relics is a piece of sculpture as the acme of perfection, a superb collection of beautiful things, beautiful murals for thousands of years without fading, really let me feel the ancient peoples wisdom and diligence. This tour has made me learn a lot of knowledge, and it is also my happiest journey.

On Monday, I went BBQ with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principle‘s flat. Our parents were invited to the party. Everybody was excited about the holiday. I ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On Tuesday, I went visiting my uncle‘s family with my parents. We went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in Shanghai. Later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncle‘s house. We stayed for the night.

On Wednesday, I went shopping with my cousins. We bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. In the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. They also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so I tried to do some turning and parking. It was not easy first. But I learnt quick.

On Thursday, we returned home with many gifts from our trip. I tried to get some rest. At night, I chatted with my classmates on the phone, and I watched CCTV before going to bed.

Since last Friday, I started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. Some of my assignments were quite boring. After I finished the homework, I emailed them to my teachers. That was the end of it. I started to prepare things for school on this coming Monday.
