THE ONLY MAGICAL THING----Map There was only one thing in the world that

wanted to play, and that guy’s name was Jack. He wanted to be a pirate one day,

and found treasure in pirate islands… He had a conversation with his mother one

day for certain. It was about being a pirate one day for once in his

lifetime…

“Mom, I want to be a pirate one day, and find treasures in buried islands

and…” “Whoa! Hold there son, what do you mean by, you what to be a pirate?”

asked his mother, “Well it is that I just want to hunt for treasure instead of

just being a regular boy like usual…”

His mother laughed so very hard, “Then why don’t you ask the sorcerer of

the wicked castle?” his mother suddenly added, “What do you mean of: Wicked?”

“Well,” replied her mother, “It all happened in…” “Wait!” shouted Jack, “There

is no time for you to explain the whole thing, if you could show me this ‘Wicked

castle’ then I could be a pirate sooner or later.

And so his mother showed him a riddle clue, which had many words written on

it, “All you have to do is answer the riddles and you will arrive at your

destination;” so Jack took the map, and head out for the wicked castle

immediately, “Now let us see, two choices to make; which one is it that I need

to take?” then he suddenly felt a little twinkle among his eyes, he looked at

the map; “That’s it!” he opened the map and placed it upon him. “Now, I just

need to figure this one out.”

He read it out loud, “Choose the path that has round hard things the most…”

then he thought about it, he looked at each side; first, he checked the left;

“There is nothing very hard on this side, or even round!” the he checked the

other side, known as the right; “Look, there is a pile of rocks here, they are

very hard; and round, and there are plenty of them!”

He walked to the right, and then he went straight on. At last he came to a

big castle, it has many traps; and so Jack decided to use the map and find clues

so that he won’t get lost…

He first came to the front door, and then he opened the map, read the

riddle; “Watch out for the monster, with two pairs of wings; and come in the

spring, it is giant, I warn you…” then he answered, “The only flying thing that

has two pairs of wings is a dragon fly!” when he said “Dragonfly”

d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y; a giant dragonfly flew past his eyes!

“Whoa!” shouted Jack, he then read the riddle, “look around you; use the

one, as sharp as a knife;” Jack looked around himself, then he found a big sharp

needle; it was huge! He used all his might and picked it up, and then he sprang

it to the monster. The monster fell down immediately, as if dead.

Then Jack had beaten the giant ‘Dragonfly’d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y, he was ready

to see the sorcerer. He was casting a spell when Jack came in, he interrupted

him; and so the sorcerer shouted, “What are you doing stranger?” he asked, “Can

you make me a pirate?” “What! Nobody has ever done that spell before;

never!”

And so Jack had to keep on being a normal boy, he was satisfied sometimes,

but also was glad that he didn’t turn into a pirate. “The map is ‘the only

magical thing’ in this world…

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. I have a brother called Jason.He has two big eyes,one big mouse and black

hair. He is taller than most of the students in P4 even though he is in P2! He

is the most annoying person in my family!

He follows me and asks me to listen to him every day. Why? He says he is my

brother! If I dont listen to him,he will be very mad and talk to you until I

listen to him! One day,he lost his pen. And I had a same pen as the lost one, so

he started to blamed me even though I did not steal his pen. He had troubled me

Two years ago, I lived in my hometown. It is a beautiful place for me and I

like the life there. Every day, I wake up early in the morning, then I will walk

in the country road with my grandma. We will meet some people and we say hello

to each other. The trees are so green and the water is so clean. I play a lot of

time in the small river. I have the beautiful memory there.

i’m going to the sun on my holiday. i will go there by a spaceship. i will

take a big blue spaceship。then i’ll pilot the spaceship to the sun. the sun is

very hot. so i put on the super-shirt. in the morning， i will have some sun

burger for my breakfast.

at eight o’clock， i will play with my friends there. they are super dog and

super girl. super dog is white and black. super girl is very clever. super girl

and super dog like to play with me. so i play with them for forty minutes. then

i do my homework in my little red room on a small blue table. after my home

work， i will have my lunch. i will eat sun salad. i will make some red toy bear

to the sun babies. i will have red juice， red fish and red rice. all the things

are red. then i need a lot of water on the sun because the sun is too hot. so i

It is natural that difficulties hide in every corner of our life,so we have

to face them at times.Whatever we have undergone in our life, we shouldnt

complain about it. We may get a lot or lose so much in our life journey, but

keeping a positive attitude should always be together with us. Nothing can

What an impressive drawing it is in revealing different attitudes toward

life!A persons attitude towards life is very important, it determines your

life, which path you are taking and how your life will become. if you are a

person with very strong positive outlook, no matter what difficulties you

encounter, you will always look at the bright side of life and never give up

easily. Take Thomas Edison as an example.Before inventing the electric bulb,he

had tried thousands of materials for lamp filament,but failed.Despite others’

laughing at him.he said,”I am not a failure,at least I have proved these

materials are not fit for filament.”Before long he invented electric bulb.

The most frequent example you see are those patients or people that are

handicapped or suffering from some type of illness like cancer. They do not give

up any glimpse of hope and continue fighting till they their last breathe. Even

those very determined handicapped,they do not blame the world for their disable.

Instead, they are contented and blessed with all the rest the have, their family

, friends and those who support them greatly. Those handicapped with negative

attitude towards life will feel that the world is unfair and they life in misery

and always feel that they are unless and unwanted.

All in all,it is our attitudes that have changed everything in our life and

help us to pull through all hardships.So we should strive to develop a positive

attitude toward life and the world.It is convinced that only when we are

equipped with optimism and confidence can we achieve success in the future.

Our art teather is not too young and not too old . He has black hair two

How time flies! My three-year middle school life will be over soon. Looking back， I have many memories of my English study.

When I entered the middle school， I had so many difficulties with my English. I was not able to understand the teacher in class， and I couldn’t master the words and phrases. Later， with the help of the teacher and my classmates， I listened to the teacher carefully in class， kept on reading English every day and spoke as much as possible. A picture is on my desk. This is a picture of Jims family. The man is

Jims father. A woman is behind Jim. She is his mother. They are teachers. A

girl is in the picture, too. She is Jims sister. Her name is Kate Green. Jim

and his sister are in the same school. They are English.

The lucky-number has become increasingly popular in daily life of modern

sociality. For example, the number eight means big money which people like most,

while the number four means death.

Some people believe lucky numbers so deeply that they will afford a

telephone with numbers without four and others which is bad in their mind. They

argue that the lucky-number really can bring good luck, and, at least, no

evidence testifies they can not.

As far as I am concerned, there is no such relationship between the numbers

and lucky, for the reason that numbers their self are given certain meaning for

the purpose of application of mathematic. And, in addition, man should not

depend on lucky which, in their mind, the numbers gives them.

Disney movies always catch my attention. Recently, the animation movie

Beauty and The Beast will be brought to the screen again, but this time, the

real actors play the classic movie. Though I have seen the animation, I am still

look forward to the new one. The beautiful heroine Bell is my favorite

character. I love her kindness and she is a good girl.
