美国现场英语夏令营的第二周主题是“职业生涯规划”。据说，美国孩子到一定的年龄，老师就会根据他们的性格特征(荷兰码)和他们的想法来为他们设计职业。我觉得很好奇，也想通过这种方式来设计自己理想的职业。

到了教室，老师给每个学生发了一个本子，打开之后进入眼帘的是用图来表达的各种各样的职业，有公路巡警队员、科学家、音乐家、救生员、政治家、隧道护理员、验光师、图书管理员等等，很多职业我以前都没有听说过。我们在每一页上圈出自己喜欢的职业，老师再根据圈的最多的职业类型来初步确定我们理想的职业。同时，老师还让大家做一些关于选择职业的游戏，通过这些游戏进一步确定我们的荷兰码。

出乎意料的是，我发现我的荷兰码是艺术型和社交型，也就是说，我的性格比较适合的职业是设计、表演、媒体、时尚设计师、教育等等，主要是涉及关于人类服务和艺术等领域。但是，实际上，我很想当的是科学家，我的梦想是在科学馆里工作，主要研究发明、制造出一些能减轻人类负担的机器设备。虽然我的荷兰码和我的职业梦想有一些差距，但是这个课程也让我认真地去思考我将来的职业，我会朝着我的梦想努力，希望有一天我真的能够当上科学家，给人类造福。

As they differ in their interests, abilities and objectives in life, different people pursue different careers. Some love to be doctors, while others prefer to be scientists. Some like to be workers, whereas others choose to be technicians. My ideal career, however, is teaching. The reasons are as follows.

因为他们在生活中的兴趣，能力和目标不同，不同的人追求的事业也不同。有些喜欢成为医生，而另一些人更喜欢成为科学家。有些人喜欢做工人，而另一些的选择则是技术人员。然而，我理想的职业是教学。理由如下。

First, I can enjoy much freedom in my work. I will not frequently be told what to do and how to do it. The content of my lessons and the way I give them are largely determined by myself, which will leave more room for my imagination and creativity. In addition, I can always stay young mentally. Being with the young people most of the time, I will be influenced by their idea and lifestyle. I will then, feel that I am always in fashion. Furthermore, I will have two long vacations and much flexible time in which I can enjoy doing what I like to do.

首先，我的工作可以让我享受到很多的自由。我不会经常被提醒要做什么，该怎么做。我上课的内容以及方式基本上都是我自己决定的，这样我的想象力和创造力就可以有更大的发展空间。此外，我也可以经常保持心态年轻。再说了，我还有两个长长的假期，我可以任意的安排时间做我喜欢做的事情。

But teaching is also a demanding career, especially in a society as ours in which new things and knowledge come in multitude. Therefore, I have to read as much as possible to acquire the knowledge needed for my work.

但是，教学也是一个具有高要求的职业，特别是在像我们这样一个新事物和新知识众多的社会。因此，我要尽可能多的阅读来获取我工作所需的知识。

[英语作文：我理想的事业The Career I Pursue

As a college student,I can be responsible to say that all my classmates dream about getting a satisfying job,and devote themselves to this career in an perfect environment.Certainly I am not an exception too,though nowadays there is a growing employment pressure . For many students, a satisfying work environment may be the aim of four-year college life,I also hope I can work in a colorful and competitive climate in the future .At first,I can get a handsome salary so that I live a comfortable life .Although salary is not the main factor , most of people they cannot neglect salary,because job with low salary cannot hold water for the young men . Whats more, I can learn more working experience and get a wide view to increase my knowledge，because I think there is no limit to knowledge and if one person wants to take a great progress in his career learning is the only way .In finally ,I hope I can meet a competitive opponent.There was a saying by Charles darwin:” It is not the strongest of the species that survive,but the one most responsive to change”.So I think competition is conducive to progress. There is no doubt that everybody want to get a perfect job,but employment pressure has been a problem that we cannot overlook.So we have to spare no effects to improve ourselves ,I believe that we can get a satisfying job as long as we constantly strive to study.

My ambition is to become a doctor.As the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our life. I don’t expect complete freedom, which is impossible. I simply have a dream that supports my life.

I dream that one day, I could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooks and lead my own life. With my favorite fictions, I lie freely on the green grass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the fresh and cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. Simple and short enjoyment can bring me great satisfaction.

II have the belief that my ambition would come true. I am looking forward to some day coming when I am like a proud doctor , which can save people and change their life .

那日，在整理旧物时，不知从何处掉出了一个蓝色的小本子，我弯下腰，检查那掉在地上的本子，拍打着封积的灰尘，翻开了扉页，只见本子上稚嫩地划着几行淡淡的铅笔记字。

“今天我7岁了，我想长大去开汽车。”

“今天我8岁了，我想长大去花店。”

“今天我9岁了，我想长大去开家咖啡店。”望着儿时所写下的幼稚的梦想，自己都不知道当时怎么会那样傻乎乎的。不禁摇了摇头。

这时一曲《致爱丽丝》打破了缅怀着过去的思绪，手机在口袋中欢快地振动着，唱着歌，拿出手机，接听后是同学的，让我陪她去逛书店。挂电话，收起了本子，便出了门。

我握着手中的月票，向站台走去，一辆蓝的公交车从眼前飞驰而去，那蓝的条纹，红底白字的“18”再熟悉不过了，于是，向着汽车驰去的方向奔去，看那车进了站台；看那进车门的门口的乘客一个一个的减少，装进那蓝色的大罐子中，正要赶上之时，脚底却一滑，跌在了坚硬的大地母亲的怀中，我闭上了眼，想像那车飞驰而去的样子；想像自己与大地“接吻”的糗态，想像周围等车人看见我的样子；……5秒过去了但汽车的车箱运作的声音，还在不断传入耳朵，睁开眼，却发现那车还在那儿，似乎等着什么人，我便爬了起来，奔向车门，刷完卡后，看了那那位司机，竟发现他正对我笑，原来他在等我上车。望着司机笑着的脸，我竟觉得那般可爱。

下了车，站在站台上等同学，身后面是一家花店，进去的人并不多，生意比较冷清，我回头望望那间花店，似乎每一个从花店中走出的顾客脸上都挂着笑，似乎那手中捧得并不是一束鲜花，而是一个被蜜糖和幸福，所包裹着的心，是啊！每一个收到鲜花的人，都会有或多或少的快乐。原来卖花的人可以让买花的人以及收到花的人那样快乐。

不一会儿，便等到了同学，在去书店的途中，路过一咖啡馆，不知为何想到了那本蓝色的本子，匆匆地看了一眼，却发现原来咖啡馆，是这样一个安静祥和的地方。侍者带着微笑将咖啡轻轻磨碎，周围的顾客们，有的人在交谈，脸上的表情充满安宁与祥和；有的人则在阅读着报纸，桌上的咖啡冒着淡淡的白气。原来这个喧嚣的城市，竟有一个如此安宁祥和的避风港。难怪那时的自己会想开一家咖啡店。

刹那间一切似乎豁然开朗。司机可以送出温暖，开花店的人可以送出快乐，而咖啡店老板则可以为人们送去一份宁静于祥和。

是啊！那些送给他人温暖、快乐、安宁的职业，我竟会认为它们太幼稚。愿顿悟的自己长大也可以成为送给他人欢乐的人吧！
