暑假的一天，我和妈妈到赣江边游玩，看到周围的污染十分严重，河面上不仅荡起层层的油污，而且还飘着白色的水瓶，人们吃完东西，为了方便，就随手把脏东西扔进河里面，工厂也不断地排进污水，这样的现象非常恶心。我们所居住的环境居然面临着这么大的问题，而且日趋恶化，作为一名小学生，我们要爱护人类共同的家园，防止污染，只有人们都爱护环境，保护环境，我们才能快乐的生活啊！

听妈妈说，以前的赣江，没有水污染，生活是多么的美好。成群的鱼儿在水里快活地游来游去，花草树木都生机盎然，一片草木清新的景色。我奇怪地问妈妈：“那水污染是怎么产生的呢？”妈妈对我说：“以前赣江的水清澈见底，附近的人们喜欢在赣江边洗衣服，甚至可以在水里洗米、洗菜。因为这样做可以节省水资源，又非常的方便，随着时间的流逝，人们保护环境的意识下降了，经常把脏东西扔进水里，不爱护水资源，这样就形成了水污染。”水污染不仅影响了人们的生活环境，而且导致影响了人们的健康，对人类的环境保护是非常有害的。

大自然是人类的摇篮，水是人类的资源，我们的祖先就靠着它们生活，未来的子子孙孙依然离不开它们。让我们大家一起行动起来，从我做起，从现在做起，人人参与，保护水资源，共建人类美好的家园吧！

可是，在我六岁时，我又一次骑着自行车，带着小弟弟去小溪边玩时，我看到了家乡的小溪发生了很大的变化：溪水变得又黑又臭;贝壳看不到了;小鱼都死了，浮在水面上;又有一些垃圾在水面上漂浮着。看到这场景后，我和小弟弟都惊呆了。

我决定在每年的春天，我都和爸爸妈妈回家乡种几棵树，和家乡的小朋友们共同发起“养一盆花，栽一棵树，爱护每一片草地，不乱丢垃圾”以及让我们的爸爸妈妈“放下方便袋，拿起菜篮子”的倡议。

虽然，我们现在做的只不过是一些鸡毛蒜皮的小事，但是我相信，只要我们人人都有保护环境的责任心，那么我们就会看到一个干净又美丽的世界!

I am writing to express my opinion about the current policy on the official holidays, such as Spring Festival and Golden Week Holiday. As you might know, some believe it is a good idea to enjoy a week-long break. For one thing, it provides enough time for people to refresh their minds and thus to have better preparations for their future work.
