People plant a great number of young trees in the mountains.When the trees grow big and tall enough,they are cut down by workers and carried out of the mountains to the paper mill where fine paper is made from wood.Then it is taken to every corner of the country and used for different purposes.Some people use paper to copy writing,others use it to write something such as letters,reports and articles.When paper turns out to be of no use,the waste paper is collected and retreated in the recycling factory before being put into use again.

这几天，全国各大新闻媒体都在关注一个地方——云南砚山县。因为那里350公里沿途已经半年没有下过一场透雨。我从电视画面上看到，那里的农田已经干枯龟裂，树木大面积枯死，连人们正常的饮用水也快“弹尽粮绝”了。一场百年不遇的大旱情，正在威胁着那里所有的生命。井水干了，池塘里的水也见底了，试想现在那里一个人每天只能用4两水，那是一个怎样的情形？没有到那里去体验一下，你真的也许无法想象。大家都知道水是构成人体的重要成分，约占成人体重的60-70%。血液中含水量达90%以上，因此大量丢失水分，会导致死亡。

我们焦急，我们担忧，灾情看似一夜间到来，但追根朔源，我们应该清醒地认识到那是人类自身多少错误行为和疏忽所种下的“恶果”啊！

目前水资源短缺和污染的问题相当突出，一些地方，因为人类不保护水资源，造成水土流失，土地沙化，沙尘暴等仍在加剧，更严重的是水土流失使土壤的肥力显著下降，造成农作物大量减产，越是减产，就越要多开垦荒地，越开垦荒地，水土流失就越严重，严重的影响了生态平衡，这种恶性循环的结果带来的只能是人类自身的毁灭。环境是人类生存的基础，越来越多的事实证明环境的恶化为给人类的生活带来严重的灾难。地震、海啸、森林火灾的频发已经给地球人敲响了警钟！

中国人均水资源量只相当于世界人均量的1／4，中国人均水量不富，是缺水国家之一。在农村里自家基本都是打井取水或者引来的山泉，城镇多用自来水，自来水并不是自然生成的，那是将天然水沉淀、过滤消毒后用泵打到我们房间中的水管子里出来的。要用自来水，就得用电。节约用水，就是节约用电，节约用电，就是节约资源，保护环境。这个道理我们应该要懂。

我们要以自己的实际行动保护环境，最简单易行的，应该从节电、节水做起。比如说用脸盆接水洗脸，洗完后用来冲洗便池和拖地等等，洗澡擦香皂的时候，要及时关水龙头，喝水也要有量的概念，不能喝一口，倒掉一大杯。在家要多用节能灯，要养成随手关灯的好习惯。还有就是要倡导绿色出行，多走路，少坐车。环境的污染和破坏，治理起来得费很大力气。我们青少年是未来的主人，一定要保护环境。只要大家都能为保护环境做一些有益的事，相信我们明天的环境会更美好。
