First, people should be educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the policy of population into practice, because more people mean more pollution. Finally,laws concerning environmental protection should be put into effect and enforce strictly just as our government has been doing. 这次去云南的行程中一共遇见了三位导游，这三位导游都会在早上给每人发一瓶矿泉水，这三位导游是分别在不同的日期为我们担任导游，他们之前素不相识，甚至可能从未见过面，但是他们却在发矿泉水的时候说出了相同的话：“我给大家发的这瓶水是用来喝的，如果你想用这瓶水来洗手的话，请你把这瓶水还给我。”导游还对我们讲，云南的人最看不惯的就是有人浪费水。当我们还在浪费水的时候，干旱地区的人们已经开始节约水了，所以我们也要行动起来，不能等到水已经枯竭的那一天才意识到水的重要性。

我国的水存在两大问题，一是水资源的短缺，二就是水污染严重。

有关资料显示，1994年7月，淮河上游的河南境内突降暴雨，颍上水库水位急骤上涨超过防洪警戒线，因此开闸泄洪将积蓄于上游一个冬春的2亿立方米水放了下来。水经之处河水泛浊，河面上泡沫密布，顿时鱼虾丧生。下游一些地方居民饮用了虽经自来水厂处理，但未能达到饮用标准的河水后，出现恶心、腹泻、呕吐等症状。经取样检验证实上游来水水质恶化，沿河各自来水厂被迫停止供水达54天之久，百万淮河民众饮水告急，不少地方花高价远途取水饮用，有些地方出现居民抢购矿泉水的场面，这就是震惊中外的"淮河水污染事件"。

在日常生活中，我们也经常会发现水污染的例子。我每次去沿江公园散步，都会发现松花江面上有行人随手丢弃的饮料瓶、塑料袋等垃圾，美丽的松花江就这样被污染了。

现如今，工业越来越发达，人类的生活需求越来越高，有些工厂为了图省事，直接将未经处理的工业废水排入江河之中，导致了水的污染。有些农民大量使用化肥、农药、除草剂，从而造成了农田污水。由于人们过多的砍伐树木，造成了水土流失。

多年来，中国水资源质量不断下降，水环境持续恶化，由于污染所导致的缺水和事故不断发生，不仅使工厂停产、农业减产甚至绝收，而且造成了不良的社会影响和较大的经济损失，严重地威胁了社会的可持续发展，威胁了人类的生存。

人类不能以破坏生态环境来发展经济，这样做所要付出的代价太大了。世界上仅城市地区一年排出的工业和生活废水就多达500立方公里，而每一滴污水将污染数倍乃至数十倍的水体。这惊人的数字也警示着我们要保护水资源。

污水还会危及我们的健康。中国很多癌症多发地区的人就是因为长时间喝了被污染的水，才导致了寿命减少。由于喝了被污染的水而丧生的孩子不计其数。为了我们的健康，我们一定要重视水安全。

地球表面的70%被水覆盖，但淡水资源仅占所有水资源的2.5%，近70%的淡水固定在南极和格陵兰的冰层中，其余多为土壤水分或深层地下水，不能被人类利用。地球上只有不到1%的淡水或约0.007%的水可为人类直接利用，而中国人均淡水资源只占世界人均淡水资源的四分之一。

即使我们拥有的水资源如此之少和珍贵，但我们还没有认真地对待它。全球性的水污染，水资源的过度消耗和管理不当已经造成可利用水资源水量和水质的大幅下降。现在，世界上每天有6000人因为得不到水或足够清洁的水而死亡。如果这种趋势不能得到有效控制，20年后，世界人口的2/3将面临无水可用的危境。

为了让大家更好的保护水资源，下面我给大家提几点建议：

1、 要从自己做起，做到不和别人一起破坏水资源。还要从家庭做起，让家人了解到破坏水资源的危险，让他们也不破坏水资源。还要让别人跟你一样保护水资源。

2、在家中用水要勤俭节约。洗完菜的水不要倒掉，还可以用来浇水、浇花等。还要让家长在工作单位上也节约用水。不要以为工家的水就可以浪费了。这是不正确节约水的表现。也是不负责任的表现。

3、如果见到有人故意破坏水源，应勇敢的向他劝说，并说明破坏水源会给我们带来极大的危险。而且让他以后要保护水资源。遇到劝阻不听的，并且情节严重的，要直接报告有关部门，用法律来惩罚他们。

4、在学校里，我们要做同学们的榜样，做同学们的表率。让同学们也有保护水资源的责任感。像拖地的时候，同学们在冲拖把的时候，浪费水极多。如果这样浪费，得浪费很多水呀!应该在冲拖把的地方设立两个水池，一个是冲脏物，一个是清洁的。同学们在拖完地时，上面有许多脏物，先到冲脏物的水池里把脏物冲掉。在到清洁的地方冲干净。这样就节约了不少水既节约了水，又把拖把冲干净了，真是一举两得!
