One of my classmate studies in American now and before he went aboard he told me his American dream is he can stand at the top of the New York. To be honest, I also dream that one day I can get the Green Card living there happily and successfully maybe working at the Wall Street. When Xu gets the award he thinks he entirely melted in the melting pot neglecting the multicultural obstruct, later the plot goes against the way he thinks. And later Quinlan asked Xu ‘why you be the scapegoat of your father?’ Xu answers ‘because he is Chinese.’ Then maybe Xu knows that there is always a wide gap between Chinese and American cultures.

The fourth aspect is following the procedure, in the film, more than there times, the people focus on the rule, the law, the procedure. At the Christmas Eve Xu wants to return back to his home pretending as a Santa Claus, what a pity, the security recognizes him and persuades ‘you are always a good tenement, never causes troubles for me.’ And another scene is at the end of the film , the judge says ‘I have to follow the procedure.’ However, in China people always have to ask for a favor to do something, and later you have to pay back the favor ，for myself, I prefer the American style, strict to the procedure.

The fifth and the last point is the humors, Quinlan says ‘you can’t fall, your health security is the company paid.’ ‘Datong, welcome home, maybe next time, you can come from the front door.’ ‘dady, why you come from the window’ ‘ because we don’t have a chimney.’ I really adore this distinguished American humor, especially in dangerous situations, which is quite rare in China.

After the professor died while away from home, the dog kept vigil waiting for his master for nearly a decade.

To wait for your love for a decade, which contains almost the whole life-time of Hachi, it’s an incredible dedication that we human beings never has. This is why the film strikes us a lot.

No one has the ability to show his love to only one person during his whole life, let alone make friends with only one people; have the food that never changes year by year; do the same damn thing without complaining and conciousness of exhaustion. We can’t! However, what we could learn from Hachi is that we should never forget the one we once loved.

A detail in the movie catches my eyes. One day when professor was on his way to school, Hachi fetched the tennis ball as he was taught years ago. But during the last several years, he never did like that, because to fetch a ball in this way is not his instinct. Why Hachi did so? He wants to entertain his master for more palatable food, for a hug? I’m afraid not.

During the way to the Witch of the West’s house, they were caught by the witch and Dorothy was requested to work for her. One day, when the witch tried to catch Dorothy’s red shoes, Dorothy threw some water on the witch by accident and the Witch of the West disappeared. Only water can kill her. So Dorothy went back to the Emerald City with her friends but they found the Wizard of Oz is not a real wizard, he is also a man came from Kansas, and he is just a conjurer. Before that she had done nothing wrong but when she killed Alec, everything really changed! She became a criminal! How could it be? She was as pure and innocent as the good wife in the Bible. Her whole character was honest and faithful. Angel figured out at last that a person should be judged not only on what he has done but also on what he wanted to do!

Tess didn’t want to be seduced by man and she had no power to defend herself so she lost her innocence and that’s all! Angel also did the wrong thing and it was even more serious than Tess’s crime but HE was not blamed for it. Why it is always the woman who pays? Why they are always hurt? Why was Tess’s girlish purity lost? Why does the wrong man take the wrong woman? Why do the bad often ruin the good? Why is beauty damaged by ugliness? Women are too weak! 这几周我们读了《王子与贫儿》这本书。

这是一部揭露社会不平等现象的名著，这本书出自一位名叫马克吐温的名家之手。

马克吐温原名萨缪尔。兰亨。克莱门，他出生于秘密西比河畔的一个穷苦家庭里。马克吐温是美国批判现实主义文学的奠基人，世界著名短篇小说作家，代表作有《竞选州长》《哥尔斯密的朋友再度出洋》等多种小说。

这本书用辩驳的语句写出了当时社会的不公。

故事主要讲了小乞丐汤姆，从小过着衣不遮体的悲惨生活，他幻想着自己能有一天当上富贵的王子，而英国王子爱德华却厌倦了，“衣来伸手，饭来张口的生活”，一个偶然的机会让他们的身份被交换了，发生了一系列的闹剧，但故事的最后因为汤姆的良心受到谴责，之后把王位还给了真正的国王爱德华，在汤姆上任期间改变了许多残忍的法律。

其实，汤姆和爱德华的品质都是值得我们学习的，我们应该学习汤姆善良的品质，凡事多替别人着想。也应该学习爱德华的勇敢正直，还有不计前嫌的精神和品质，做一个有思想，有担当的人。

读书能让人学会思考，能让人在不知不觉中变得安静下来，读书让人快乐。
