Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

Recently,people come to realize how much grain we wasted every year. And everyone is called on to join a program,called "GuangpanXingdong",which requires people to eat up all our food.

As for me,i think its a extremely good idea to follow.And there are lots of things we can do to contribute our efforts to it.For example,when we go out for dinner,we can just order as much food as we can eat to make sure little will be wasted.Of course if we really cant eat up our food,its also ok to take it home,so we can eat it later.Besides,once we have a chance to have meals with other people,who dont realize the importance,we can explain what the program is for and persuade them from wasting food.

Some may question whether the campaign have any effect,but,i think ,one thing we should keep in mind is that no matter what a small effort we make,it do make a difference.

It was the second day of our summer holiday. I felt good. I felt I am free. I had a lot of time to do things I like. My parents are in Zhongshan. So I live alone but I don’t feel lonely. But I didn’t do something special. I stayed at home and watched TV. Oh! I wrote an Englishdaily composition. It was my homework. Today, I have slept for 14 hours.I thought I was very tired. 在这个每天与咖啡和眼药水为伴的初三，我的生活倒是更轻松了。我的头发好久没剪，长长的卷在脑壳上，像懒散的假发。背包松垮垮的待在肩上，与我一样没有希望。

I often go to see my grandma and grandpa during winter vacation. They are both seventy years old and live in the country happily. I can do many interesting things there. When night comes, I am used to sitting by the fire and listening to grandma telling me many funny stories. And I tell her some new things happening in the city. 如果说初一初二是在懵懂中度过的话，那么乘上初三这班列车不得不在意行驶的速度了。我也是在偶然间发现与众不同的初三生活的，那是在今年暑假，沐浴着假期的休闲之风做着轻松的美梦，心想终于可以好好的玩了，开始的那几天确实体会到因为暂时离开书本和作业的那份惬意，整个人就像弃用的弦一样完全松弛了下来，没几天，这种“松弛”的感觉就让我不舒服起来，因为这种漫无目的的日子让我失去了往日的“弹性”。一直以来，我主张有弹性的生活，有松有驰，弛张结合，只有紧凑和缓慢相结合，才是我需要的节奏。

有了这个发现，暑假生活被我安排的井井有条而又纹丝不乱。果然在我的期待中，新的学期向我走来，而我，也以饱满的情绪迎来新的挑战。尽管我已经做好了摇旌呐喊的准备，可是当我意料初三这一年有着不同寻常的经历和努力时，深深体味出站在人生路口的那份艰难，接下来我该怎么走呢？

所以，为了美好的未来，我已经做了打算，和这既紧张又振奋的一年拼搏到底，相信有压力才有动力。君不见那水中的皮球，被压的越低，日后被弹的就越高。所以，压力也是力量的源泉。

I imagine a lot about lives in the future。I think two words can summarize my imagination。The first word is fast。In the future，we will have more quickly transportation means。

Now matter how far we go，it takes only a short time。With the development of science and technology，we can travel to the moon，Mars or somewhere outer space。People may can live in other planets。The second word is convenient。

Because of the fast development of our society，many work can be done by computers or even robots。

Lots of things are fully automated。Humans just need to give some simple instructions to complete complecated tasks。

Todays society is a highly developed technological society. However, the

shortcomings in the development process are obvious, such as: carbon dioxide,

and environmental pollution. But the most serious should be the carbon dioxide

problem.

Now the problem of global warming because of excess emissions of greenhouse
