和同学相比，我的假期是自由的，我不用整天背着小书包，在补课班学这学那，这都是家长的英明教导啊！同学们都羡慕我：“你多好啊！在家闲着！”其实我的生活也早有计划了，丝毫不比你们轻。一学期的学习，我已经清楚了我学习的薄弱环节，这个假期，我一定要努力，把不好的学科提上去！

外地的学生到沈阳来在英语方面比较较弱是不可避免的。英语老师的指导，已经让我懂得了怎样去弥补和别人的差距。其实有自学能力的人是完全可以自学英语的。老师给我指出了几点我的不足：第一我的词汇量不够，阅读面不是很广，主要是因为平时缺乏英文文章的阅读。第二就是答题技巧，要做更多的阅读或完形填空题。所以，这假期我要对自己“狠”一点。数学和语文嘛，我自认为学得很好。只是语文的古诗，我背的太少了，所以我要多多的背，为开学的比赛做好准备。

所以，我制定了学习计划。从早上八点到晚上六点，时间安排的就像上学一样。早上就是预习下学期的课本，而下午就是写练习册和自己学更多的课外知识。英语除了完成作业以外，我做了一本完形填空与阅读理解，我还正在背词汇和语法。语文我每天都坚持背古诗。

相信我的努力一定会收到成效，下学期我一定会再一次进步。寒假生活，是美好的，这就是我的“紧张”寒假生活！

时光匆匆！光阴似箭，日月如梭。家里每天都在变化。

每天傍晚时分，我家最热闹的地方要算厨房了。厨房约有8平米，除了门，窗何天花板以外四周的墙上和地面上都新铺了，瓷砖，看上去十分整齐，舒服，煤气炉稳稳的放在煤气桌的一端，装了转角吊柜碗和盘子还有油盐酱醋都整整齐齐的放在里面，这样炒起菜来十分方便信手拿来，朝北的窗户下，有一个水池，自来水龙头就按在水池上方，淘米，洗菜，洗手，全靠这个水池，污水则流进下水道，水池的右边则放着一个净水器，流进去的是自来水，流出来的是经过净化的，磁化，矿化的净化水，我们家就用这水煮饭和沏茶，在水池的对面，有一面镜子，就挂在墙上，格外的漂亮。

每天，傍晚的时候，我坐在厨房帮着拿菜，爸爸洗菜，妈妈负责炒菜。随着煤气的火苗燃烧。厨房里飘出了饭菜的香味。不一会儿，热气腾腾的晚餐就做好了。

而在以前厨房里没有净水机，地上都是水泥，没有铺瓷砖时，地上的土很多，现在铺路瓷砖的厨房又干净又显得很明朗，让人看着很舒服，以前墙上面涂得是白漆，没些日子雪白的墙就全是油漆，不怎么好擦，自从贴了瓷砖后，墙上的油漆，也容易擦了

随着人们生活水平的提高，也随着社会的发达，我相信，我们的世界一定会更美好。

我在这里给大家拜个年。那天，按照习俗，是要给老人们拜年。老天也很赞成我们小辈的做法，一大早天就放晴，真是一个艳阳天。我和爸爸、妈妈、弟弟一起早早的就来到了爷爷家，爷爷准备了好多好吃的，各种各样的水果、各种各样的小零食、各种各样的糖。我和弟弟赶快给爷爷拜了年，早早的拿到了一个大红包。

大年初五，忙里偷闲的爸爸妈妈终于有空陪我和弟弟出去玩了，我们一家四口去了郑州丹尼斯大卫城，里面有很大的儿童乐园，什么游乐设施都有，我和弟弟玩的很开心哦，妈妈还给弟弟和我买了一身新衣服，我看上了一把很牛的枪，质量很棒，可以随意组装，妈妈也给我买了，算是我和弟弟的新年礼物吧。我特别喜欢画画，过年期间，我也坚持画画，我要把这个爱好坚持下去!长大了争取当个画家!

The math teacher of my class is a young man. His name is Jiang Shan. He is tall and fat. We call him the “Big Guy”. When he knows it, he isn’t angry and says it’s lovely. Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

What impressed me most was that people there were all very friendly and some of them could even speak Enlish. But still I think that there are some problems of this city, which I dislike. Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. 一天，晚饭后，我到楼下玩滑板，正巧路过老爷爷的家，我无意中瞥见爷爷家的门开了一道缝，虚掩着。我一下子高兴起来，爷爷病好了！我三步并做俩步地跑到门前，轻轻推开房门，叫了声“爷爷”，屋里传来了一阵咳嗽和略带沙哑的声音“谁呀？”我应声答道：“爷爷，您出院了呀！”爷爷回头看看我：“原来是你呀，小家伙，爷爷老了，生点小病正常的，快好了，过几天就出院。”说完又低头在一堆旧书中整理着，我看着爷爷略显佝偻的后背，身上的衣服还沾着些灰尘，他一本本小心仔细的拿起来，轻轻掸掉书本上的灰尘，那又轻又缓的动作好像每本书都是无价之宝一般，小心呵护着。“啊！您还没出院呀，那怎么回来了？”我着急地问。“我今天是回来理些旧书的，明儿会有老乡们过来把书帮我带回老家，给乡下的孩子们。”爷爷说完搬了张小凳子在我对面坐下，又拿来一个纸箱，把刚才一本本擦拭干净的书整齐地码进箱子里……

原来爷爷偶然听老乡闲聊时说起乡下的许多孩子喜欢看书，但又舍不得花钱买新书，他就想到平时收废品时经常会收到些半新旧的书，他就和老乡们约定着，每隔一段时间由他们来帮着带些书回乡里。算算，这都快十来年了，他一直信守着这个约定。十年如一日，从未间断过。这次生病，恰逢过几日就是老乡上门拿书的日子，所以他匆匆赶回来，怕耽搁了这桩子事。

听着爷爷讲述着这件在他看来很是普通的小事，我突然觉得爷爷的身影高大起来，心里莫名的感动……

我想，这就是诚信吧！

成长是艰难的，成长是漫长的，但成长又是快乐幸福的。

许多同学，在很小的时候自己就希望快快长大，能想像大哥哥大姐姐那样在一起“煮酒论英雄”，在一起天方夜谭的谈论自己喜爱的事情，并可以漫天的嘻嘻哈哈打闹。

但是到现在从走过的路来看，不少同学觉得虽然自己已经长大了，但还是觉得小时的愿望太过于“愚蠢”了。突然发现小时侯的时光是多么的无忧无虑啊。

Last week, my cousin was back at home from his trip. He had been away for

more than a month and he was a backpacker. I felt so envious, because he could

live the life he wanted. I listened to him and was so attractive by the scenery

he saw. The people he met also caught my attention. I made up my mind. When I

earned money in the future, I would do the things as my cousin do now. So the

first thing for me was to be more independent. I should learn to do the things

by myself, such as cleaned my own stuff instead of asking my mother to wash.

Secondly, I needed to study hard, so as to find a good job. I needed money to

support my dream. I believe that I can realize my dream and live my own

life.
