Nevertheless, international organizations do attract attention to the growing problem of aims of the international community to resolve the issue of environmental pollution and support their cause, I do not believe it is the best or only way to protect the environment; in fact, it is only a small part of what is needed in a global initiative.

All world problems, whether it is environmental pollution, war, energy insufficiency, or famine, arise from the abusive behavior of all individuals. Therefore, the solution to all these problems is the need for a collective consciousness. What is meant by this is that each individual must be aware of the impact he or she has on the world and their unique part to play in this world. After all, if one is happy with his life, he will surely not endeavor to harm the environment or anyone else. His behavior will be that of a responsible individual.

What is needed, therefore, is education. Education is the key to all problems and it starts from pregnancy all the way to adulthood and beyond. Furthermore, education means that children all over the world should be allowed to go to schools with good teachers and where teaching materials and methods can be adapted to each individual. Education means raising children to be responsible individuals.

This may sound like utopia, but it is not: if a country had important problems in its educational system, then it should realize that it is contributing to the worlds problems. These are perhaps long term solutions, but they are more realistic solutions than setting up yet another international organization.

"Earth hour" campaign began in March 31, 2007. That night, in Sydney, Australia, about 2.2 million local residents lights for an hour, to support the action, the fight against global warming.

Only a year later, the event has been extended to all over the world, has become a global environmental protection activities. 2011年的“地球一小时”活动不仅仅局限于熄灯一小时和应对全球变暖的行动。在倡导家庭、办公室、政府建筑和标志性景观熄灯一小时的同时，“地球一小时”还致力于推动可持续的环保行动。

人一直以为地球是无穷大的，即使把数亿吨的垃圾随便扔，或是把几亿吨的废气送上天空，也没有什么事。但我们错了，而且是大错特错。事实上，地球并不大，它是一个半径只有六千三百多千米的星球。人们自以为地球十分大，要知道，宇宙中随便一个星球都有可能比地球大上十几倍，甚至是几十万倍。太阳，我们很多人都觉得太阳特别大，因为它相当于一百三十万个地球，可也有比太阳更大的星球，那就是红巨星，有些红巨星的质量是太阳的几亿倍，由此我们可以得出地球是多么渺小。

正因为地球的渺小，所以我们要加倍地保护它，而不是破坏它。现在科学家都声张保护地球，爱护环境，可有些人因为贪婪，所以他们把科学家的忠告当耳边风。因为这些人，导致世界上的许多地方遭受了严重污染。污染并未停止，而是在不断加重，因为污染，导致地球上的自然环境发生连锁发应。

比如：因为过度用电导致二氧化碳加剧，造成“温室效应”，它让地球的冰川不断融化。科学家推断，如果还是这种样子的话，冰川将在10至20年左右全部融化。那时候，地球的海平面会剧增十几米，这会给沿海居民带来严重威胁。

保护地球看似很难，其实很简单，只有低碳生活，地球的废气和垃圾或许能减少几十万吨，但如果人们还执迷不悟的话，人类有可能跟一位外国作家说的一样，恐龙灭绝是因为小行星撞击，人类灭绝可能是因为自己的执迷不悟和贪婪。

Water pollution occurs once too much pollutants (mostly in form of different waste) are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies.Water pollution does not only cause great environmental damage but is also the leading worldwide cause of deaths and diseases responsible for the deaths of more than 14,000 people each day,mostly in developing countries.

Many people are not aware that water pollution is serious problem in almost all parts of the world,and not just in third world countries like some choose to believe.In fact many experts will tell you that reality is completely different than the common belief,and that actually water pollution problem is already out of control.

Water pollution problem is in most cases connected with the careless handling of chemical agents,toxins introduced into our water through industrial dumping,and farm runoff.All these factors make our water unsafe to drink.

活动时间：2015年4月22日上午9:00——11:00。

活动主题： “保护地球，从我做起”。

活动地点：永安市贵族世家英博幼儿园、社区 。

活动目的：

1.知道世界地球日，了解和感受地球生态环境日益恶化的现象。

2.知道地球是我们生活的地方，我们要和动物、植物做朋友，共同来保护地球。

3.培养幼儿从生活中的小事做起，萌发保护环境、爱护环境做文明小朋友的意识。

活动形式：

1.大一班全体幼儿手工制作“废弃物品用处多”。

2.大二班争做“环保小卫士”，制作保护环境、爱护花、草、树木的标语。

3.“保护地球，从我做起”中一班全体幼儿家长亲子长卷画。

4.中二班谢老师带来综合课《保护地球，从我做起》。

5.小班段幼儿给小树浇水、拔草。
