As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution. Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the action of protecting the environment. This is a good sign. Rivers are being cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of protecting the environment.

However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers or give off the toxic gas into the sky. We should know that protecting the environment needs everybody’s effort.

Students, on the evening of March 28, we held a "earth hour" activities, it is the world wide fund for nature to address global climate change have put forward an initiative, hope to individuals, communities, businesses and government in March 28, 2015, manner of an hour to go to bed late, to show support for the effort to tackle climate change.

When the sandstorm attacked Beijing, when the news came in taihu lake, dianchi lake pollution, when the snow storms, drought, extreme weather has been raging, when accelerating global warming, the Antarctic glaciers melt sharply, dear friends, have you ever wondered, with their own meager strength for us to live in the earth? So I took an active part in the activities, as we live in a city to do some contribution within our capabilities. 同学们，在三月二十八日晚，我们举行了“地球一小时”活动，它是世界自然基金会应对全球气候变化所提出的一项倡议，希望个人、社区、企业和政府在2015年3月28日晚20：30熄灯一小时，来表明应对气候变化行动的支持。

当沙尘暴袭击北京的时候，当太湖、滇池污染消息传来的时候，当雪灾、大旱极端天气频频肆虐的时候，当全球加速变暖、南极冰川急剧消融，亲爱的朋友们，你可曾想过，用自己的微薄之力为我们赖以生存的地球做点什么?所以我积极参加了这项活动，以此为我们生活的城市做一些力所能及的贡献。其实，一小时的短暂黑暗我们并不是做不到，它不仅能让我们为自己的诚实做出贡献，而且还能换取明天更多的绿色和光明。有些人会问：“不就是一小时吗?力量有那么大么?”没错，一个人的一小时是微不足道的，可是，如果你想想，用超过1000个城市10亿人的一小时来计算，这个力量有多么强大啊!正所谓团结就是力量!

当然，我们的环保努力并不限于在这一小时，而在于时时刻刻。当我在关灯的那一刹那，我身边不知从何而来的一股幸福感，我感到我做了一件非常了不起的事情，想到这里我就会很开心。

同学们，快快行动起来吧!让我们一起携起手，一起保护我们的家园，让我们的家明天更美好吧!

今天我在家里津津有味的看着电视，忽然有一个广告吸引了我的眼球，就是关于保护地球环境的一个短片。电视里主要讲了；在大城市里每天都有大量的汽车经过，而且每个汽车的排气管里都冒出黑烟。那就是有害的物质，对空气也有一定的危害，所以我们要保护地球环境，人人做起，一起创造美好的家园。

当我看完这个短片的时候，我受益非浅，我想；被污染的空气能使人的眼睛、疼痛、还能刺激人的气管、肺，使人咳嗽、气喘、甚至的肺癌。为了防止空气污染，我们要注意两点；一、不随地吐痰二、不乱倒垃圾。树叶还能吸附空气中的灰尘，有些树叶有监测空气污染的作用，所以我们要大量的植树造林。保护好地球环境！

我们是地球的一员，我们离不开大自然和地球，所以我们一定要保护地球，做什么事都要为地球处处着想，应为地球是我们共同的家园，我们生活在地球，一定要保护好她，不能让她受到伤害，保护她就是保护我们自己，如果我们不保护地球，将会受到地球的报复--毁灭。

由于我们人类长期以来对地球的污染，造成了一定的伤害；我们人类乱砍乱伐，小鸟才没有了家园；因为人们乱丢垃圾，小溪、街道、小巷……被污染了；因为我们捕杀导致小动物们与家人痛苦分离，人类才失去了最好的朋友；因为我们人类污染环境，造成空气严重污染。我们应该保护环境，多栽花草树木少砍伐，减少噪音的存在，我们坚决拒绝捕杀动物，保护我们的朋友，守卫我们大家的家园。让我们一起为我们的地球增添一点绿色吧！让我们的大自然变得更可爱，更美丽吧，更绚丽多彩！爱护环境，珍惜资源，从我做起，从生活中的点点滴滴做起。让我们共创美好家园！

保护地球，人人有责，大家一定要每时每刻切记！

As is known to all, waste on campus has become a more and more serious problem. We can easily see many students dump a lot of food in the garbage can. Some students spend thousands of yuan buying fashionable clothes and so on.

The negative effects of waste can be shown in the following aspects. In the first place, it makes some students dependent on their parents for money, which is harmful to their development.

If they don’t learn to support themselves, they will be “useless people” when they graduate. In the second place, it is not easy for our parents to arrange for our schooling. Last but not the least important, there is no denying the fact that our country is still poor. There are many people who cannot go to university and many poor people still need our help.

As far as I am concerned, I should set a good example to reduce waste on campus. First of all, I will refrain from wasting anything, from food to stationery. What’s more, I’m determined to call on more schoolmates to fight against waste. Only through these measures can we hope to reduce waste on campus.

一天下午，我在书上看到“生态足迹”一词，我迷惑了，“生态足迹”是什么？

我立刻在电脑上查阅，搜索了半天，终于知道了“生态足迹”就是“生态占用”，用来测定当今人类为了维持自身生存，而利用自然的力量，来评估一个人对生态系统的影响和破坏。

比如说我现在用电脑查阅资料，电脑要用电，电是由发电机得来的，而启用发电机需要石油或柴油。就使用电脑这一件小事，许多人或许不在意，但他的生态足迹已经踏上了一个石油供应站。

我沉默了，想起昨天在报纸上看到的一篇报道，说科学家们发明了一种速生草。这种草发育得很快，一年能长五、六次，并且能像韭菜一样，被割掉后，根部还可以重新生长出草来，被科学家命名为“绿色1号”。“绿色1号”可以吸收空气中的大量二氧化碳，并转换成氧气。“绿色1号”的叶子可达两米多高，是造纸的好材料，并且可以做成碳块，是可以代替汽油等能源的好燃料。

难道有了这“绿色1号”，人们就可以浪费自然资源，扩大自己的生态足迹吗？答案是否定的。我们不能捡了芝麻丢西瓜——因小失大啊！如果这样，发明了“绿色1号”又有什么用呢？人们不还是一样在浪费资源？

听说北京城闹雾霾，这是为什么呢？我们都知道汽车排放的尾气是主要罪魁祸首，我想这应该和北京是首都有关。每逢佳节，北京的人们纷纷开出了小车，向朋友或亲戚炫耀：自己也有车了。并且前来北京的.人很多，车上大道就堵车。如果车是手动档的还好，可以关闭发动机；要是自动档的，发动机关不了，汽车的尾巴就“突、突、突”的冒烟，这北京城起码也有一两万台车吧？至少有一半是自动档的，北京不起雾霾才怪！这都是北京人用汽车踏出的生态足迹造成的恶果啊！

当我做完一系列的联想后，已经是黄昏了。意识到电脑还开着，我惊呼：“天哪，电脑开了一下午，我踏出了多大的生态足迹啊……”

所以，要想保护地球，得从节约资源做起；要从主动缩小自己的生态足迹做起；缩小生态足迹=保护地球。如果你能够节约资源，就会缩小原本很大的生态足迹。那么恭喜你，你也为保护地球出了一份力哟！

我们地球上有许多有益的动物，我们要保护它们。

青蛙它是两栖动物。它生活在水里，或在靠近水边的地方。它专门吃田里害虫。它是农作物的“忠诚卫士”，是天然的捕虫机。一只青蛙平均一天吃70只害虫，一年能吃掉15000条害虫。

Frog it is amphibious animal. It lives in the water, or in close proximity to the waters. It is designed for field pests. It is the crop "loyal guards", is a natural insect catching machine. The average of a frog to eat 70 pests a day, a year can eat 15000 pests.

蜻蜓也很厉害。一只蜻蜓一个小时能吃20个蝇子或840只蚊子，真令人惊讶!

在茫茫宇宙中，有一颗为蓝色的星球，他就是我们人类赖以生存的家园---地球。地球母亲给予了我们生命，给予了我们山清水秀，鸟语花香的环境，让我们在她温暖的怀抱中快乐的生活。如今，他已被人们折磨的遍体鳞伤，我们正在一步一步把自己推向灭亡!

不知何年何月开始，两极的冰川开始逐渐融化，海平面正在逐渐升高，陆地面积普遍减少，地球温度迅速增高!不知何年何月开始，森林大幅度减少，人们脚下的土地开始退化，沙漠不断的增加，各种自然灾害席卷而来!不知何年何月开始，各种生物逐渐灭亡，人类正在走上孤独之路!

在草原上，那些原本数量繁多的动物如今已一一消失，导致这个结果的都是人类。大量的捕杀，已经致使大量的物种濒临灭绝，大量的占用土地使越来越多的动物悟出牺身。在西双版纳附近出现了野象袭人事件，还吃掉了农民辛苦劳作的庄稼。人类都会不约而同的认为野象很可恶，可是人类有没有想过自己，要不是我们抢掠了他们生存的环境，夺走了他们的食物，让俺们会莫名其妙的袭击人类吗。虽然大象没有比人类聪明，但是没有任何物种会在安稳的生活去闯入他人的领地。我们与动物共享地球母亲所赐的生活环境，可是我们太贪心，不知足，得到了自己的一份，还要去抢掠动物的，动物们总是无声无息的忍耐着，而我们却一次又一次打扰他们的清梦。

在生活中，科技越来越发达，而人类越来越不注重保护地球。曾经地球母亲给予了我们太多，但现在，我们不仅没有报效地球母亲，反而不断的糟蹋!现在人们都说2012只是无稽之谈，按照我们现在的做法继续下去，人类不再重视环境，地球随时有可能毁灭。只要人类现在有所悔改，地球还是有机会回复成原来的样子，其实保护环境不是必须花耗大量的金钱，其实我们只要多多植树，让森林面积大幅度增加，减少尾气的排放……

想想过去，天是那样的湛蓝，人是那么的和谐，空气是那么的清新。河里的水清澈见底，水中还有许许多多的鱼虾在游动!人们总是不约而同的来这儿消遣，娱乐!随着时间的推移，河中的水逐渐变样了，从前那清澈见底的水变成了那乌黑的工业废水，水中游动的鱼虾转眼间变成了那需要几千年才能分解的塑料垃圾。水边长出了密密麻麻的青苔，当从河边走过时，人们不再逗留，而是纷纷捂着鼻子，快速的穿过，那恶臭的气味扑鼻而来，那是人类自己的报应!

现在我们的环境很差，需要世界上所有人齐心协力来把环境搞好，让我们一起保护这美丽的地球!现在作为一名普通的中学生，我们更应该让我们周围的人一起来保护环境。让我们继续与地球和谐美好的共存下去。
