地球是一个晶莹透亮的球体，上面蓝色和白色的纹痕相互交错，周围裹着一层薄薄的水蓝色纱衣，这位人类的母亲是那样美丽壮观。在茫茫的宇宙中，地球是渺小的，而人类活动的范围更小了。地球所拥有的资源是有限的，可人类随意地破坏她，是有些资源不能再生，给人类生存带来了威胁。如今，科学家证明在以地球为中心的40万公里内没有适合人类居住的第二个星球，所以我们要精心保护地球，造福后代。这是我读了《只有一个地球》所得。有了地球，有了人类，地球流着蓝色的血。

人类不该破坏地球——这位人类的母亲。可人类却做到了，是大肆地、随意地破坏生态环境。地球只有一个，足以让人珍惜，而人类却毁坏她。

如今，地球遭到了人类的重创，现已“面目全非”，许环保主义者尽力保护地球，但一切只不过是杯水车薪。地球上资源有限的，在人为破坏下，逐年减少。如水资源，它是宝贵的，人们往往以为它是取之不尽，用之不竭，然而，它在地球上却逐年减少。在科学技术的高度发展中，生态环境却遭到肆意的破坏，环境危机日益严重，人类遭到了大自然的报复：水土流失，土地沙化。大自然为人类敲响了警钟。水是生命之源，是不可缺少的，我们要节约用水，不要让水浪费掉，不知不觉流掉、渗透掉。面对之中这可怕的一切，看过，但仍是现实。保护水资源，不要让世界上最后一滴水是眼泪!节约用水，刻不容缓，因为浪费水就是扼杀人类自己。

还记得98年的特大洪涝吗?这天灾是由人造成的。河岸边树被砍光，泥土经雨水冲刷，沉在河底，水位上升，才导致大洪水。人为的破坏，使地球变灰了，变老了，地球是我们共同的家，让我们携手保护家园。还给大自然一次新的希望。

未来也许是美好的，或许是一场噩梦，不管怎样，让我们全人类行动起来，都来保护我们的地球，保护地球的生态环境，让地球为我们的子孙后代更好地服务。

however, the problem of environmental protection remains far from being solved. on the one hand, the environment pollution and destruction are getting worse and worse in the modern world. on the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. in a word, there is a long way to go before we enjoy a clean and comfortable world.

What Can We Do for the Environment

Hello,everyone. Im Li Hua. Its nice to speak about what we can do for the environment,and I think each of us can do a little bit to help with this problem.

The first thing we can do is to use cloth bags in stead of plastic bags when we go shopping. It helps to protect the environment. The second thing we can do is to reuse the old textbooks as possible as we can. We should also never forget to turn off the lights when we leave the classrooms in order to save energy. Whats more, it would be better if we walk or ride a bike to school. We should try our best reduce pollution and waste.

In fact,even the simplest everyday activities can make a real difference to the environment. I believe we can make the world a better place to live in.
