Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

In fact, I didnt understand the story at that time. I didnt know why it called Pride and Prejudice. Of course someone was pride, but I didnt find where s the prejudice. Now, I think I have understood more about it. Im a prejudiced person so I cant find wheres wrong. I merely like to do the things I like. Everytime I meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time. I like it so just like it, if not so just not. Im a person thinking by heart not by brain. What is worse, I actually didnt think its wrong. I thought everyone is all like that.Everyone has his special way to cognize the world. So its individuality, not prejudice. But I think something is wrong. Though everyone can judge in the way he likes, he cant ignore other ones. You can like what you like and hate what you hate, but you should be objective when you meet external world. I think it means that you should consider things roundly, not just partial. Tom Sawyer seems to be the precursor of and the template for misfit kids such as Dennis the Menace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Calvin and Hobbs. What makes this story great is that Tom Sawyer represents everything that is great about childhood. The book is filled with Toms adventures playing pirates and war with his friend Joe Harper. Tom has a trusted friend, Huck Finn, who few of the adults approve of. The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only come from a child. It is a story filled with action, adventure, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood.

The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which Im sure uses terms even young children already know)， the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.

这本书讲了各个时代名人的故事，还把它们分成了各种类别：爱国的文天祥、鲁天佑、华盛顿等，奉献的诸葛亮、南丁格尔、居里夫人等，创新的黄道婆、哥白尼、伽利略等，探索的沈括、阿基米德、郑和等，拼搏的成吉思汗、李嘉诚、拿破仑……

其中，我最喜欢的故事是《特蕾莎修女》这一篇。特蕾莎修女，本名为艾格尼斯·刚察·博加丘，她从小就很有爱心，觉得自己未来的职业是帮助贫困的人。1937年5月，她决定成为终身制修女，并改名为特蕾莎修女。有一天，她发现一位倒在地上的老妇人，看起来快不行了，但她还是立即把她打理干净并送去医院，最后老妇人得救了，她就这样经常救济有困难的人。她的组织有很多钱，可她生活却很节俭。1997年9月5日，特蕾莎去世，全世界人民都悲痛不已。

读了这本书，我发现名人都拥有着善良、细心、认真……这些美好的品质，正是这些美好的品质，才让他们向名人更加接近。相比之下，现在社会中有一些人拥有不好的品质，我想，如果人人都能拥有美好的品质，全世界将会变得更加美丽。我还发现这些名人们小时候家里的情况都不太好，可是长大后能做出那么伟大的业绩，十分了不起。祖冲之废寝忘食地计算圆周率的准确数、乔丹忘记了时间似的练习篮球……我很敬佩他们。
