A book exhibition

Dropped in at National Library to see the National Book Exhibition which will close today. Suprised at the fact that so many kinds of books are published in our country. Thought the childrens books with many pages of colorful illustrations were made very nicely. Bought a copy of the Chinese version of English and American Short Stories at a 20 per cent discount. Am going to read this through in this good season for reading.

信步走到图书馆看即将在今天结束的全国书籍。惊奇的是发现我们国家竟然出版了这么多种的书籍。我觉得富有多页彩色插图的儿童书籍印刷的相当精美。我买了一本打八折的《英美短篇小说》中文版。我要在这读书的好季节里将它读完。

陶渊明，字元亮。渊，意为深，明，意为明智；元，意为善良，亮则为正直，明亮。

渊

生活是现实的的，因此培养了人们现实的性格。极力追求名和利，把物质的享受看得异常重要，在名利中挣扎，戚戚于贫贱，汲汲于富贵。这样的思想——虽然浅薄，虽然庸俗，却在，很多人心里扎下了深根。

而陶渊明是如何呢？他曾为官两次，结果却都是辞官回家。第二次仅为官83天。一切都是因为他的渊。他的思想性格从及观念皆超出常人。即使环堵萧然，不避风日，短褐穿结，箪瓢屡空，他也从来想过再入尘网，为丝竹耳乱耳，为案牍劳形。

也许有人说陶渊明傻，做官有没有什么坏处，况且还有生活的经济来源，何乐而不为？

可陶渊明不为衣食住行，为的是自己的身心的快乐。他抛却了物质的迷惑，于是获得了心灵宇宙的自由，与自然万物息息相通。

明

陶渊明闲静少言，不幕荣利且好读书。是因为他明白了读书的含义，看透了官场的险恶。

读书是要读出自我，而不是考书法去最求名利。陶渊明是一个明智之人，自然早就明白了这一点。多年在官场做着身不由己的事，陶渊明深感痛苦，与其以心为形役，让心为形体所役使，倒不如忘怀的失归隐山林。当然，他也为自己的抉择感到无比快乐。聊乘化以归尽，乐夫天命复奚疑。这便是他的明智与高于世人之外。

元

与他子中的元（即善）相符。陶渊明也是一个善良的人。从《桃花源记》一文中便可看出。

这篇作品是陶渊明的最高成就，写于59岁。从对桃花源生活的描写，表现了陶渊明的美好理想，每人都是平等的，没有贫富差距；人人都热情好客；路不拾遗，老有所终，又有所养。这也是孙中山提到的大同社会。没有战乱，和平共处。

由此可见，陶渊明的反对战争。渴望永久和平的思想感情。

亮

魏晋时一种纵酒的社会风尚。人们将豪爽地喝酒当成一种风尚。因此，当时出现了很多以酒为友的士人。

陶渊明自然也是酗酒之人，虽然家中贫困，不能经常得到，但他的老朋友经常邀他去喝酒。即酒而退，曾不吝情去留。

换做常人，若客人要走，总会客套性地挽留一下。而陶渊明与朋友们的交往时直爽、正真、率真，没有半点虚情假意，足见其亮。

于是，渊、明、元、亮四字组合在一起，也就成了我眼中的陶渊明。
