1944年，驻深日军调防，新来的日军取代了岗田部队，陈敏学在日军的临时“编外翻译”生涯也就此结束。15岁这年，他进入日本兵牟田退役后开的“安东洋行”，负责翻译工作。

陈敏学被“安东洋行”聘用不久，港九大队沙头角中队便教育他参加抗日斗争，发展他为游击队的情报人员。
