Lying at the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City, called Gu Gong, in Chinese, was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum, it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Rectangular in shape, it is the worlds largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. Surrounded by a six meter deep moat and a ten meter high wall are 9,999 buildings. The wall has a gate on each side. Opposite the Tiananmen Gate, to the north is the Gate of Devine Might (Shenwumen), which faces Jingshan Park. The distance between these two gates is 960 meters, while the distance between the gates in the east and west walls is 750 meters. There are unique and delicately structured towers on each of the four corners of the curtain wall. These afford views over both the palace and the city outside. The Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court, fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987, the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.

Construction of the palace complex began in 1407, the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan, a suburb of Beijing. It was said a well was dug every fifty meters along the road in order to pour water onto the road in winter to slide huge stones on ice into the city. Huge amounts of timber and other materials were freighted from faraway provinces. Ancient Chinese people displayed their very considerable skills in building the Forbidden City. Take the grand red city wall for example. It has an 8.6 meters wide base reducing to 6.66 meters wide at the top. The angular shape of the wall totally frustrates attempts to climb it. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.

Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family, it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However, there is one exception. Wenyuange, the royal library, has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.

Nowadays, the Forbidden City, or the Palace Museum is open to tourists from home and abroad. Splendid painted decoration on these royal architectural wonders, the grand and deluxe halls, with their surprisingly magnificent treasures will certainly satisfy "modern civilians".

Today is Friday. We have a physical education class. Its a time for us

playing. Usually, the boys like playing basketball or football. Girls like

playing badminton or rope skipping. I like rope skipping very much and I am good

at it. Today, I did rope skipping with other girls. We had two teams and

competed to each other. Finally, my team lost the game, but we were still very

happy. By this game, we could build our body and had fun. Its really

interesting.

I met a girl called Sue on the Intemet.We are of the same age.And we talked

happily with each other. So we decided to write to each other daily, of course

through e-mail.We can write down what we feel and what we think and then forward

to each other.We also try to write in English. She once lived in the United

States with her parents, so she can speak native English.In this way, we are

getting closer and closer. And furthermore both of our English has improved

quickly and greatly.How nice it is to have a "pen pal" !

我在网上认识了一个叫苏的小女孩.我们年龄相仿,谈得也很投机,所以就约好天天通信联系,当然是电子邮件了.我们把自己一天的生活和所感所想记下来,然后发给对方看,就像记日记一样.我们还试着用英文通信,她曾经跟爸爸妈妈在美国呆过几年,所以能讲纯正的英语.这样,不但我们的友谊越来越深了,而且我们的英语水平和写作能力也有了很大的提高.有个“笔友”真好!

这个暑假我们一家和爸爸的朋友一行9人去浙江安吉游玩。

之所以选择安吉是因为安吉不仅有很多漂流的地方，而且安吉是一个以竹子成名的城市，那里景色秀丽，碧水青山。

星期五一早，我们就自驾游出发。妈妈之前做好攻略，提前订好了农家乐和景点门票。中午到达龙王山，吃了中饭就步行到龙王山漂流点，人多天气热，真有点不想玩了。可是穿了救生衣坐在皮筏艇上开始漂流的时候，哇，透心凉，水清澈见底，山里又凉快。真舒服，刚才的热早忘记了。我们激烈的打水仗，全身湿透，很开心，漂了近3个小时，但还是意犹未尽。

第二天我们去了藏龙百瀑景区，它是新近开发的`一处以泉、涧、瀑、岩、植被、动物等自然生态景观为主体，以群瀑，密林、险崖为特色的自然奇观。藏龙百瀑所处的瀑布谷，人称"浙北第一瀑布谷"。这里拥有大小瀑布100多处，瀑瀑相连，一步一景。我们9人咬咬牙坚持爬到了山顶，虽然中途有几次差点放弃了，但是我们互相鼓励，登到了山顶。

世界竹子看中国，中国竹子看安吉。游中国竹乡不可不看竹子博物馆，不能不游安吉竹博园。第三天在安吉竹博园，我们游览各国的奇篁异筠，洞悉千载的竹子加工利用史。竹博园内有中国唯一的竹子专业博物馆，记述着一部五六千年的竹文化史。本以为竹子都是一样的我，对竹子有了更多的了解。

游完竹博园我们就返家了。

这个暑假，我们一家坐火车去了日照。

到了日照火车站，我们又起身坐公交车到海边。

换上泳装，带上游泳圈，跳下大海，开始游泳。真所谓后浪推前浪一浪更比一浪高!我连忙跑向大海，一个大海浪向我冲来，我来不及躲闪，不但我的衣服湿了而且还让我喝了几口海水。“哇，好咸啊!”我对妈妈说。接着，又有接二连三的海浪向我扑来。我连忙向沙滩上跑。可还是来不及了，“哗”的一声，身上的泳衣全湿了，刘海也湿了。

海上最好玩的就是海浪了，可是沙滩上最好玩的却是那些沙子。我拿着铲子和桶，堆了一个沙堡，可惜就在我捡贝壳的时候，被一个调皮的孩子给弄坏了。

下午，我坐火车回家了。

五一节到真开心!因为我们要去南通玩了，驾使员是我舅妈!我舅妈开车好棒的，我们经过了3小时才到军山，这里最漂亮的有高高下流的瀑布!还有花草树木给我们带来的清心空气，我们要爱护这些花草树木呀!我感觉上山好费力的!可大家还是努力坚持爬到山顶!

山顶的空气最好了，我大口大口的吸着这美味的空气!虽然好累但还是值得的，我们应该多抽空到这样的地方来，记得我在这里还看到了金鱼池，我喂小鱼吃面包，小鱼吃得可开心了!这时我也好饿了!很喜欢这样旅游!

卓老师给我们说前几天的培训重点还是放在备课上，备课一定得充分，只要能调动学生的积极性，上课效果就好。上课内容要丰富，现实，教态要自然，讲课要生动，难易适中照顾全部，就自然能够吸引住学生。学友有一对一的学生还有小班的学生，所以在备课的时候我

格外关注细节，作为老师每天都要有充足的精神，让学生感受到一种自然气氛。我们都知道英语是一门外语，对初学者而言，既生疏又困难，在这样一种大环境之下，要教好英语，就要让学生喜爱英语，让他们对英语产生兴趣。否则学生对这门学科产生畏难情绪，不愿学也无法学下去。教案也是教学前的重头戏，以前从来没有备过，为了做出实用的教案，我专门在网上查找了相关的资料。为了第一节课的教案，我接连奋斗了两个晚上，总算捣鼓出一篇像样的教案。虽算不上精品，但至少在上讲台前要有充足的准备。教学中，备课是一个必不可少，十分重要的环节，备学生，又要备教法。备课不充分或者备得不好，会严重影响课堂气氛和积极性，曾有一位前辈对我说：备课备不好，倒不如不上课，否则就是白费心机。”我明白到备课的重要性，因此，每天我都花费大量的时间在备课之上，认认真真钻研教材和教法，不满意就不收工。虽然辛苦，但事实证明是值得的。一堂准备充分的课，会令学生和老师都获益不浅。

Last sunday, it was a fine day. My friend and I went to Mount Daifu. In the

morning,we rode bikes to the foot of the mountain.After a short rest,we climbed

the mountain.on its peak,,we shared the beautiful scenery in our eyes. There

were lots of light foggy clouds around us.What。

s more, varieties of birds flying around us were pretty.What a harmony

situation。

At noon,we had lunch in a restaurant. With a happy emotion, we finished our

climbing. Although tired, we still felt happy and relaxed.we hope our country

will become more and more beautiful.

There is no doubt that learning English is vital for us. On the one hand,

English has become an international language that people can communicate with

each other in many countries. On the other hand, if we learn English well, we

could get more chance of success.

However, it is well-known that there are many methods for us to learn

English well. There are some tips. First, we can study in a group to improve

learning efficiency. Second, we could listen to English songs and watch English

movies; this way is very suitable for student to improve their listening and

speaking abilities. Third, I have believed that a great deal of practice can

strengthen language knowledge.

In a word, it is natural for us to learn English well by making efforts. If

we didnt work hard, we would never do well in learning English.

People often ask and are asked that what is the most important thing in

life. Some people answer that family is the most important and others say love,

work or money. In my opinion, health is the most important in life. However, how

to keep healthy?

Firstly, being positive. A positive attitude towards life must be good to

health. It also brings you power to overcome disease. Secondly, taking exercise

regularly. Taking exercise regularly or even every day helps you build a strong

body which is the base of health. Exercise can improve the ability of the body

to fight disease. Thirdly, making friends, because friendship is an important

part to influence your health. Many studies show that people with a wide range

of social contacts get sick less than those who dont. I always feel better when

I am with friends than when I am alone. Finally, eating properly, having good

rest and building normal daily routine are aslo important to health.

Health is a problem we should attach importance to. Only build a healthy

body can us live a better life.

放假了我和姨妈、妈妈、表哥一起去沙扒湾玩。

旅游车向着沙扒湾方向使去。我透过窗户向窗外望去，火辣辣的太阳在烤着大地，聪明的农民伯伯把稻草人竖在田里，让稻草人帮忙赶走偷吃粮食的小鸟。已经干完活的耕牛在草地上休闲的吃草。我一边吃东西一边欣赏窗外的风景，中午我们就到达了目的地“沙扒湾”。

我迫不及待的跑到沙滩上，站在软绵绵的沙子上，望着一望无际的大海，海浪一个接一个的打上来，好像奏着雄伟的乐曲。海浪同时也把漂亮的贝壳送到沙滩上来，我捡起贝壳，贝壳在阳光照射下显出五颜六色，十分漂亮。我拿起救生圈向大海里跑去，一个大浪向我冲来，我紧紧的抱住救生圈，海浪就像一只大手把我推回沙滩上，那种感觉既兴奋又刺激，我在沙滩上尽情的玩耍着。不知不觉已经到了太阳下山了，太阳下山的景色十分壮丽，夕阳的余晖洒在海面上，好像一张红彤彤的地毯美丽极了，太阳慢慢地消失在海面上。晚上我们还在沙滩上放孔明灯和烟花。随着孔明灯带着我的愿望飞上天空，同时我也结束了沙扒湾之旅。

Today is New Year`s day 今天是新年的第一天.Today I`m not doing homework. I`m making

dumplings. After that, we`re having lunch, my grangfather is saying to each

other" Happy New Year", I`m saying to him" the same to you". We`re laughing. In

the afternoon, I`m going shopping with my brother and sister. Two hours later,

we`re getting home, we`re playing computer. Today is a happy day.

到了山庄旅舍门口，我们看到一只鸭，它不停地扭屁股，好像在和我们打招呼。我和姨妈同学的儿子就学鸭子的叫声，叫了起来，但是鸭子一声也不叫，真有趣。我们进入金碧辉煌的贵宾房里，我看到了贵宾房里有舒服的座椅，金色的墙纸。我品尝了又甜又滑的白云豆腐花，茶汤橙黄浓厚的普洱茶。刘经理介绍说：“白云山的来历是因为白云山下完雨有就会有白色的雨雾，宛如天上的白云。”给了我们无限的遐想。刘经理还介绍旅舍曾接待过_，介绍他们住过的房子，主席的提词等等。

刘经理介绍完后，就回到贵宾房吃饭。一进去，里面就有好吃的白云猪手，腰果等非常好吃。不一会儿，汤来了，我就迫不及待地拿起勺子喝汤，汤很美味。接着又有新的菜送到桌子上了。我们尽情地享用美食。酒足饭饱后，我们就心满意足地回家了。

这个山庄旅舍给我留下了深刻的印象，那里有美食，那里有漂亮的木雕，那里有富丽堂皇的环境，还有一只笨笨的鸭子哦!

会当凌绝顶，一览众山小。泰山安，四海为安。天地渺茫，山林寂静，大美无言，泰山自有其苍茫磅礴的气势。天下名山无数，泰山的名气却如同山中帝王一般受人膜拜,这是为什么呢?去年暑假，爸爸妈妈带我去泰山玩，我才得以知晓。

事先，我到网上查了查泰山的文化知识：泰山位于山东省泰安市中部，主峰玉皇顶海拔1545米，总面积为24200公顷。了解后，我惊叹于泰山之雄伟。

第二天，我们就站在了泰山脚下，看着如此雄伟的泰山立在我面前，我心中感慨万分：大自然是如此的鬼斧神工，创造了一个又一个中华民族的瑰宝。爬上泰山，我发现身边除了唱歌的山泉，四周一片寂静，仿佛置身于荒无人烟的原始森林之中，那叮叮咚咚的泉水呦，仿佛正唱着欢快的歌儿，又好像在鼓励我们登上前方直冲云霄的泰山。再向上爬，褪去小镇的热闹，林间偶尔传出悦耳的鸟叫，给幽静的山林增添了一丝生气。继续爬，我们来到了中天门，这时我已经累得筋疲力尽，恨不得倒头就睡，但又咬咬牙继续向上爬。

我们来到了泰山最险之处——十八盘。看着面前笔直向上、陡峭的阶梯，我心里一阵发虚：我爬得上去吗?我又不自觉得退了一小步，可看着身后的万丈深渊，我咬咬牙，爬了上去。据我所知，泰山十八盘共有1827级，此处两山崖如同削去一块，陡峭的盘路镶嵌其中，远远望去，恰似天门云梯。泰山也有了十八盘之说：自天山至龙门为慢十八盘，再至升仙坊为不紧不慢十八盘，又至南天门为紧十八盘。我们刚到紧十八盘时，突然下起了倾盆大雨，风雨交加，电闪雷鸣，好似天上的神仙发怒，一不小心打翻了水盆。我们慌忙躲到一个石穴中，爸爸买来了雨衣，又要继续上路，我却哭着说不上了，想回家。妈妈说：“世上无难事，只怕有心人。山上的挑山夫们背着如此重的东西，都不叫苦叫累，你还不敢上个十八盘?”我想：对呀，挑山工背着那么重的东西都爬得上去，我还不敢?便点点头，开始向上爬，脸上不断滴下的水珠已分不清是雨是泪。终于爬上了南天门，我累的倒头就睡，睡了六个小时，五点我们就开始上玉皇顶看日出，看着喷薄欲出的日光，我流下了激动的泪水;看着身后的万丈深渊，我露出了胜利的微笑。望着冉冉升起的太阳，我忍不住朝着下面的白云大喊：“泰山，我爱你!”那一刻，我成功了!

通过这次经历，我懂了许多，我也成长了、蜕变了。雨中登泰山，我知道了世上无难事，只怕有心人;玉皇顶上观日出，我惊叹于大自然之美妙……这一切，都如梦如幻。我认为，我们青少年更应将中华民族的传统文化与大好河山传承、弘扬、发展下去。

暑假终于来临了，我们一家人一起去北京旅游，首先去到北京的颐和园游赏。

刚进入颐和园的大门，我们就看到了十七孔桥。这座桥有十七个桥洞，因此才叫十七孔桥;桥上有着许许多多的石柱，而且每根石柱上都雕刻着姿态不一的小狮子，有的在玩耍、有的在喝奶等等……是多么可爱啊!走完十七孔桥后，我们就来到了文昌塔。据说，文昌塔以前是供给状元读书的。走完文昌塔，我们就来到昆明湖，看到昆明湖景色这么美，我们租了一辆电动小船，我驾驶着小船在昆明湖上四处游玩。游着，游着，外婆就提议说：“这么美好的风景，咱们一起创造一首诗吧!”“四人同坐一条船，荡漾湖中看风景。景色一个接一个，看来看去都是景。”这真是一首好诗!

颐和园里有许许多多的名胜古迹，希望下次能再去游赏。

今天下午，我放学以后去全脑开发上课。上完课后，我的好朋友—聂丁宸来找我玩。她是一个小姑娘，个子比我低，眼睛大大的，梳着一个小辫。她也在钢三路小学上学，她在1.3班。我和聂丁宸、灿灿一起玩“旅游”的游戏。我来搭车，丁宸和灿灿准备食物，我们三个配合得非常好。车搭好，灿灿说：“我开车，你保护丁宸，叫她抱着食物，我们去郊游。”到“站”了以后，我们开始吃“野餐”。我们正在吃“野餐”的时候，妈妈叫我回家。我正玩得高兴，可我还是跟妈妈回家，因为妈妈告诉我，明天有很重要的事情要去奶奶家。

This days, my family go to Qinhuangdao(秦皇岛) have a visit .In there ,we use

camera take a lot of photos. We see many Qing Dynasty (清朝) lifestyle .The most

famous view is Jiaoshan Greatwall(角山长城). It is too high and hard to go up .But

we get it .We spend three happy days .We seat down the trolley (缆车)to fly in the

air like a bird .The days which I spent in there is different from my hometown

.I think I will visit much more views if i work hard .It。

As Chinese traditional virtue, helping others and taking care of each other

are the basic virtue of a person. We are lucky that we are born to be a healthy

person, while some persons are not that lucky, they may be born to be a disable

man or get hurt by accidents. Out of the basic virtue, it is not right to laugh

at them, we need to help each other, showing our love to them. December 3rd,

2013 is World Disabled Day, the day reminds people of the care about disable

men. The disable often ignored by us, since they are special group, we should

take care of them, give them our hands. We can do something for them, like

helping them when cross the road. We can help them from small things, helping

each other makes the world more beautiful.

Today I came back from a place named “he chuan”, it’s a good place. There

has some nice view like chang jiang river. I came there in two days ago. Our

aunt is here. We had a good time in there. But I also write English dairy too.

Because of the wrong computer, the message didn’t here. I wish myself to live

more better tomorrow.

The screen of my father’s mobile telephone is broken. When you open the

mobile telephone, the screen is always white with light. You can’t see from the

screen. And my father is a businessman. He needed a new one. So my father and I

went to the electrical appliance shop. There are many new kinds of mobile

telephones. At first, my father chose a Sumsung one. But all the telephones have

sold out. Finally, my father chose a Motorola one.

我父亲的手机屏幕坏了。当你打开手机，屏幕始终是白色光。你不能从屏幕上看到。而我的父亲是个商人。他需要一个新的。所以，我的父亲和我去了电器店。有许多新种移动电话。起初，我的父亲选择了三星。但是，所有的电话都抢购一空。最后，我的父亲选择摩托罗拉公司之一。

来到牧城公园，一进门，我们就看见了30米高塔一样的建筑，大家都说去锻炼爬楼梯。刚爬到一半，看到离地面越来越远，我心里就开始害怕，可是我还是鼓起勇气一直爬到顶上。刚站了一会儿，我感觉塔在摇动，就更加害怕了，只好扶着楼梯下来。休息了一会儿，我们绕着湖转了一圈，妈妈给我买了两根火腿肠。刚好到了划船的地方，看见湖里好多划船的人，爸爸说：“今天天气这么好，我们也来划船吧!”。我们排队买了票，穿上救生衣，在工作人员的帮助下上了船。我小声地说：“爸爸，能不能让我来开船?”爸爸一本正经地说：“好吧，你要小心驾驶哦!”听了爸爸的话，我很激动。我手握着方向盘，可是握不稳，船就一会儿向东，一会儿向西，大家都笑我技术不好。不知不觉，半个小时到了，风太大，我们就下船回到了湖边。后来，我们又转了一会儿，天色渐渐暗了下来，我们只好坐着公交车回家。

回到家里感觉累极了，但是我却很开心，因为我懂得了不管做什么事都要坚持。
