So the pandas can find bamboos easily which they like to eat very much.Because pandas are well protected now, the number of them is increasing every year. We hope that one day we will have enough pandas to set them free and let them live in the wild again.

“公园里的树木不高，但每一株都修剪得整整齐齐。树叶碧绿，水珠滴滴……”这是迪拜的街心公园。虽然很美，但看不出什么特别。但当阿联酋的朋友们为我们讲述了这些树木和花草的来历时，却使人吃惊、发人深省。

“小树和孩子同价”。第一次听到这句话，简直是丈二和尚——有些让人摸不着头脑。

这一天，我们在阿拉伯联合酋长国朋友的陪同下，游览该国国际重镇迪拜的一个街心公园。公园不大，离有名的黄金市场不远，大概是为那些黄金商人在此小憩而开辟的吧。

公园里的树木不高，但每一株都修剪得整整齐齐。树叶碧绿，水珠滴滴，显然是园林工人刚刚浇灌过的。中间的大草坪上，没有一张废纸，也没有一枚枯叶。草坪周围是一丛丛盛开的鲜花。公园的另一边，是一座清真寺，那金碧辉煌的塔尖，直插蓝天。

“简直是一个大盆景！”我们忍不住赞叹。

“你们知道这些树和花草是哪儿来的？它们是怎么生长的吗？”阿联酋的朋友突然这样问我们。

我们互相看看，心里感到奇怪：我们是作家代表团，不是农业专家代表团，怎么向我们提这样的问题？

阿联酋朋友得意地笑了。他指指远远近近的座座别墅——在一望无际的白色沙漠上，它们在绿树和花丛中若隐若现，犹如大海中的一艘艘船，只不过它们的颜色翻了个个儿。

“这里原来是一片沙漠，海边的沙漠，到处是沙子，却没有泥土……”阿联酋朋友开始向我们介绍他们的创业史。

因为是海边的沙漠，又咸又粗，上面结着白白的一层碱壳，人踩上去，会发出“咔嚓咔嚓”破碎的声音。当然，什么植物也不可能在这里生长。但阿联酋人为了改造自己的生存环境，从国外买了泥土，从海上、从空中运回来，铺在沙子上；又从国外买了树苗和草皮，种在泥土里。可这里一年四季不下雨，海水又咸又苦，不能用来浇灌树木花草，他们又从国外买进淡水，在每一棵树苗和每一丛草皮底下装上自来水管，不断地浇灌。

“在我们这里，培植一株树苗和养一个孩子花的钱一样多，有时甚至比养孩子花的钱还多。”阿联酋朋友最后这样说。

我们开始对身边的一草一木刮目相看。

回国以后，我常常把这件事讲给朋友们（包括大朋友和小朋友）听，希望大家都来爱护每一棵树、每一朵花、每一株草。
