Second,it still create a warm atmosphere by getting the family united,which is the true purpose of the dinner.In the restaurant,you celebrate the New Year and share your happiness with other families and usually can enjoy special performances or activities,organized by the owner of the restaurant.

To make a conclusion,having the dinner on New Year’s Eve outside shows a change in people’s thoughts on traditions and seems to be a wise,nice and exciting idea.

There is a trend that more and more families have their dinner on New Year’s Eve in the restaurant.Although it is more convenient,it doesn’t seem to be a pleasure thing for me.

Firstly,the restaurants are too crowded.Owing to this,we cannot talk freely.In addition,the sense of harmony cannot be felt by the family members.

今天，一斤教室，老师就说：“我们来折纸飞机吧！”我一听，可高兴了！同学们都很兴奋。我折了一个令老师都赞叹不已的纸飞机。

我的纸飞机是这样折的：首先，把左上角和右上角的纸折成一个三角形，再把剩下的角又折成一个三角形，然后对折，又把剩下一边折下去——一个纸飞机就做好了！

阳光透过窗子，照在阳台上那架布满灰尘的纸飞机上，我已经好久没有玩它了。我的思绪回到了十年前，总是和同学们一起玩纸飞机，去哪了？

前几日妈妈给我买了一套乐高玩具，我迫不及待地打开包装盒，按照拼搭教程中的图示，搭好了一家战斗机。下面，我就给大家介绍下它的样子。

它的背上有一个棕色长长的炸弹管道，里面的炸弹很厉害，可以把坏人赶跑哦。它的翅膀是长条形的，绿色的，就像是一个大树干。翅膀前，有两盏景观灯，这两盏灯是黄色的，颜色耀眼。机身是透明的，大概有5厘米长。机头上有一扇透明的玻璃，可以让驾驶员透过玻璃，看清外面。机尾是乳白色的，向上翘起。整架飞机模样可爱，又不失酷帅感。后来，我又在机身下拼装上去四个黑色轮子，这样，这架飞机又变成一架飞机车了。它不仅能在天空中飞翔，执行战斗任务，还可以在陆地上奔驰，完成陆地任务。是一驾多功能飞机。

这个机场共分三层，第一层是国内、国际到达的，第二层是国内、国际出发的，第三层是侯机厅。爸爸换好了登记牌，交了建设费，我们就去侯机厅等待登记，在侯机厅里我看见机场上停了好多飞机，我问妈妈：“这么小的飞机能坐多少游客呢？”妈妈说：“你不要小看这飞机，它可以坐五百多名游客左右。”“真的吗？”“你上飞机就知道了。”忽然我听到播音员在广播里说“乘作上海东方航空MU586航班的旅客们，请注意您乘坐的飞机现在开始登机了，请在25号登记口登记。”

我们排着队伍一个接着一个登上了飞机。“怎么有一个个的大姐姐在和我们打招呼她们是谁啊？”我好奇的问着爸爸。爸爸说“她们是空姐，专为旅客服的，等一下你就知道了。”我们找到了自己的座位，并把行李放在行李架里，然后坐了下来，我回顾四周，发现机舱的上方还有几只电视机。靠近机身的座位还有一个个小窗口，向外一看可以看见一切东西，我又看见机场里的工作人员正在把旅客托运的行里用输送带装入机舱里。我正看得入神，耳边听到广播在说：“旅客们，本架航班就要起飞了，为了您的安全，请系好安全带。”飞机开始进入划行状态，它一越腾空直插云端，我再往机舱外一看，哇！真美啊！蓝蓝的天，白的云，有的象白马、有的象一群群绵羊、有的象调皮的小孩……。

我看得正入神听见空姐在问：“小朋友，您要喝什么饮料？”“来杯可乐吧！”我说。喝着可乐，看着空姐一个个地为旅客服务，一会儿给旅客送报纸、一会儿为旅客拿来毛毯……。看着看着我迷迷糊糊地睡着了，当我被老爸叫醒时，目我们的飞机已经降落在首都国际机场，我们开始了北京之旅。

从前，在一片茂密的大森林里住着一只纸飞机，它的邻居是一个垃圾桶。纸飞机每天在蔚蓝的天空中飞来飞去，地上的垃圾桶每天在绿油油的草地上跑来跑去。

有一天，纸飞机找到了垃圾桶，骄傲地对垃圾桶说：“垃圾桶，你看你多臭啊！每天还在这里跑来跑去，惹人嫌弃！”垃圾桶听了，生气地对着飞机说：“纸飞机你可别叫，要是下雨了你可就飞不起来了。”纸飞机白了他一眼，又飞走了，只听它“嗖”的一声，就飞到了空中。

它飞呀飞！忽然，天上下起了淅淅沥沥的小雨，雨点落在了纸飞机的身上，纸飞机不停地挣扎。雨越下越大，变成了倾盆大雨。纸飞机的身体越来越重，一不小心掉了下来。这时，垃圾桶看见了它，急忙跑了过去，接住了纸飞机，带着它来到一个山洞里，对着飞机说：“你没事吧？”纸飞机懊悔地说：“我全身都湿透了，不过我还是要谢谢你垃圾桶，都怪我太骄傲了，才变成现在这样！”垃圾桶安慰它说：“没事的，只要雨停了，你就可以在空中自由飞翔了！”

不久雨停了，垃圾桶带着纸飞机走出了山洞。垃圾桶把纸飞机放到一块岩石上。那暖融融的太阳照射在纸飞机身上。不一会儿，纸飞机就精神抖擞了。

从那以后，纸飞机每天在天空中自由飞翔，嘴里还不停地喊着：“垃圾桶快来呀！”垃圾桶也在草地上快乐地奔跑着。

每次放学的时候，老师会提醒我们过马路时要注意安全，寒假的时候，老师会提醒我们放鞭炮时要注意安全，暑假的时侯，老师会提醒我们游泳时要注意安全。

在众多交通工具中，我认为飞机是最安全的，然而，就在今年发生了多件飞机失事的事件，其中最重要的是20xx年3月8日马航mh370失踪事件，这一架飞机上有两百多人，其中中国人就有100多人。这架飞机失去联系时，各个国家都出一份力去寻找，这正所谓一方有难，八分支援。一天过去了，一个月过去了，都还没有线索，飞机上的乘客的家属都非常着急，有的在痛哭，有的在等待，还有的在不停的拨打着电话号码······这架飞机一找就是四个月，还没有下落。

20xx年7月18日马航mh17只飞行了5个小时之后，就坠毁了。这架飞机上乘有280名乘客和15名机组人员，据调查，飞机里的人全部死亡。这架飞机是被9k37bnk导弹击落。这些多是恐怖干的，他们以为这架飞机上有普金，后来发现根本没有。被打中后，从天上掉下许多尸体和一些飞机零件。在玩耍的小孩看到这个场面，个个都吓的魂飞魄散。我认为现在不管是汽车还是飞机，不管是电瓶车还是自行车都是那么危险。我的感想是：人的生命就是在那短暂的一秒钟结束或开始的。

我坐过地铁、火车、公交车、轮船等车，就是没有做过飞机，这一次坐飞机，还是头一回呢，它让我收获很大。

初秋，却仍旧燥热，阳光洒在玻璃上有些的许刺眼，此时的我们坐立不安。

已经是高三的第二个月了，还是没有明确的目标，茫然而又不肯放弃，就如此机械的过每一天。

那天午后，实在不想学习，看着那密密麻麻的复习资料，让人滋生厌倦，我在纸上乱划，始终划不出我想要的答案。

教室里面并不安静，有人窃窃私语，还夹杂着翻书时候纸页咯吱的清脆响声，突然，一只纸飞机飞过划出完美弧线，不偏不倚的落在了讲桌上，“耶，完美”纸飞机的主人拍手叫好，也许是无聊或喧众取宠之举，可是却让每个人心里泛起了涟漪。

“这我也会，比你还准，看好了”另一个同学不甘示弱，飞出之前，他把飞机放在嘴巴上哈了一口气，就如同小时候一般，幼稚惹人发笑。渐渐的，我们开始无心写作业，释放出内心真正的不安分，教室里面，纸飞机来回穿梭。

暑假，爸爸妈妈带着我去了海南三亚。由于路途遥远，我们选择了坐飞机。这是我第一次坐飞机。从机场向外看，只见一架架飞机顺着跑道起飞，望着那些飞机，想到我也将乘坐飞机，心里不由得激动起来。

过了几分钟，我登上了飞机。我一边往里走，一边打量着旁边的座椅、窗口，心中总有一种莫名的兴奋。过了一会儿，飞机起飞了。我从窗口向外看，只见地面上的街道，建筑，车辆都一下子变得像火柴盒一样小了，街上的行人更是小得几乎看不到了。十几秒之后，飞机就飞到了云层上面，地面上的景物都被厚厚的云遮挡住了。

白云一朵朵，一层层地把天空铺得密密层层，耀眼的阳光照射在云朵间，反射出灿烂的光线。飞机飞得越来越高，下面的云层也越来越厚：有点像奔跑跳跃的兔子，有的像绵延万里的长城，有的像上下翻飞的龙，还有的像飞腾奔跃的骏马，在天空中不停的变化着，正是千姿百态啊！

这时候飞机遇到一些气流，广播会提醒乘客：注意系好安全带。我第一次坐飞机，不知道怎么回事，以为出了什么事，心里紧张极了，其实只是飞机轻微颠簸了几下而已。

过了两个小时，飞机到了目的地，准备降落。落地时，我的心一下子又紧张起来，眼睛盯着外面。降落时只感觉飞机晃动了几下，然后平稳地落在跑道上，我这才放下心来。

这次坐飞机旅行，我增长了许多见识，也感受到了交通工具发展的迅速。相信不久的将来，一定会有更快、更便捷的交通工具改变我们的生活。

那一次，我们家、杨杨家和思思家三家人商量坐飞机去旅游，我们三个小家伙高兴极了，我当晚兴奋得怎么也睡不着，因为坐飞机我可期待很久了。

我们是坐汽车来到广州白云机场，一下车，我们仨开始东张西望，就好象刘姥姥进了大观园，对这里一切充满好奇和新鲜，但是这个候机呀真让人抓狂，等了一个多小时终于可以上机了。

飞机准备起飞，我们都紧张极了；正在这时，一位美丽空姐发给我们一人一块口香糖，说是防止耳膜鼓张发痛，“这个要怎么用呀？”我好奇地问：“那还用说。当然是这样。”杨杨说着把口香糖撕成两半，分别放进耳朵里；“哈哈、、、、、、”我们两个女生忍不住大笑起来，这时空姐微笑着走过来说：“小朋友，这个口香糖是用来嚼的，这样就可防止耳膜鼓张发痛。”我们笑得更大声了。

打闹之间，飞机开始滑行，绕了好几圈后，在一条直道上突然加速，让人觉得像被人捂住了胸口，过了十几秒，飞机前面翘了起来，一下就冲入了天空，我们都欢呼起来：“飞机起飞了。”

我隔着窗户往外看去，先是白云机场逐渐变小，接着许多条高速公路变得象蛇一样，公路上的车象蚂蚁； 突然，窗外变得白茫茫一片，原来是飞机冲入了云层，过了一会儿，展现在我眼前的是蔚蓝的天空，云朵像一层柔软的鹅绒被，又像天使美丽的羽毛，更像白白的棉花糖一样松软。

我看着看着趴在窗檐上睡着了，等我醒来时飞机已经到达了目的地。

第一次坐飞机，真是我激动又难忘的第一次，现在想来还沥沥在目。

Dear Sir,

I understand your well-respected college offers a number of places to

overseas students every year, and I am writing to enquire about the application

procedure.

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been

studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of

Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and

credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are

History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use

of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum

requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

Apart from academic work, I have been actively involved in extra-curricular

activities. I am Chairman of the English Club and I have represented my school

in many inter-school contests.

On the advice of my friends, I have decided to further my studies in

England because I wish to widen my horizons and benefit from the scholarly

heritage of your country.

I wish to continue to study the above-mentioned subjects at your college in

the 2006/7 academic year before I sit the Advanced-level Examinations in

England.

As regards my character, Mrs. Chen, my Principal, and Mr. Huang, my English

master, have agreed to act as my references.

As I come from a family of fairly limited means, I would like to know if

there is any financial assistance available for overseas students.
