In fact, professional success usually requires the same time-management skills that are useful to find time for family, hobbies, and recreation. One need only look at the recent American presidents-Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter- to see that it is possible to lead a balanced life which includes time for family, hobbies, and recreation, while immersed in a busy and successful career. Third, more professionals are changing careers to ones which allow for some degree of personal fulfillment and self-actualization. Besides, many professionals truly love their work and would do it without compensation, as a hobby. For them, professional and personal fulfillments are one and the same.

Our capacity to cope successfully with lifes challenges far outstrips our capacity to feel nervousness. Yet in the weeks, days, and hours leading up to an event that we believe will test our limits, we can become nervous. While we may have previously regarded ourselves as equal to the trials that lie ahead, we reach a point at which they near and our anxiety begins to mount. Most of us find it remarkably difficult to focus on two distinct thoughts or emotions at once, and we can use this natural human limitation to our advantage when trying to stay centered in the period leading up to a potentially tricky experience. When we concentrate on something unrelated to our worryuch as deep breathing, visualizations of success, pleasurable pursuits, or exercisenxiety dissipates naturally. Meditation is also a useful coping mechanism as it provides us with a means to ground ourselves in the moment. 小男孩的父亲怒发冲冠地拿起我，把我撕成了两半，我感到一阵阵巨裂的疼痛。小男孩望着我撕成了两半，摊在了地上，眼睛里的泪水划落到了脸上。

此时，我已经奄奄一息了，但是我希望小男孩能露出灿烂的笑容，吹散悲伤。

七月一日是星期六，我和爸爸妈妈一起从长沙坐飞机去西安。这是我第一次坐飞机。飞机慢慢地起飞了，从飞机里的窗口往外看，布满高楼大厦的长沙就在我们的脚下。蜿蜒游动的湘江就像一条长长的舞动着的白綾；公路上飞跑的汽车像一只只爬动的甲虫；房子像一只只小贝壳；张家界连绵起伏、叠翠的山峰，就像一棵棵大大小小、碧绿、苍翠的树朩，整个张家界就像一片大森林，秀美极了。

飞机越飞越高，冲入云层，地面上的什么东西也看不见了，只能看见天上一堆堆的白云像雪山、像飘动的棉花，洁白而美丽极了。

Recently, I read a great book,Childhood,which is written byGorky. It’s a novel based on the experiences of the author’s tragic childhood, telling the stories about the author between his three to ten years old. Aliocha has a bad childhood. His father and mother die in his early ages, so that he has to live with his great-grandparents. His great-grandfather is bad tempered and his uncles hate him very much. Great-grandmother is the only person who cherished him. Besides, Aliocha also feel the pureness, friendship by his playmates. Through this book, we can see a poor, ugly society, but we also can see an adamant, compassionate little child who constantly pursuits of good things in life. It’s hard to imagine how he can stick to the faith of life in such bad environment. As for us, we live in a much better environment; of course we should cherish our happiness and be strong to face difficulties in life.

第一次坐飞机，是在我十岁那年去海南旅游。

到了机场，我被眼前的庞然大物惊呆了，我问爸爸：“这是什么东西？”爸爸说：“这就是飞机啊。”

过了一会儿，我怀着既兴奋又好奇的心情登上飞机，飞机开始起飞时很慢，越飞越高，我坐在椅子上，像过山车似的，开始耳朵有点痛，爸爸告诉我第一次坐飞机都会这样的，要把嘴巴张大点就不会了。不知不觉飞机已经飞到半空了，突然飞机震动一下，我很害怕，就问爸爸：“我们会不会坠机？”爸爸严肃地说：“小孩子不能乱说话。”

过了一会儿，飞机很稳点，我看了看窗外，一朵朵白云，此时，我犹如在云海中，仿佛坐在白云上，我便欣赏起来。多美的一幅画啊！

没过多久，我被一阵轰隆隆的声音吵醒，我发现飞机好像在下降，我又问爸爸：“飞机为什么会这样呢？”爸爸说：“这是飞机在慢慢降落，快到目的地了。”此时，我的心才踏实下来，不一会儿，飞机着落了，我依依不舍地下了飞机。心情久久不能平静。

这就是我第一次坐飞机。

我是一张洁白的纸，静静地躺在主人的书桌上，每天看着主人上下学，生活无忧无路，吃了玩，玩了睡，直到有一天……

黄昏，太阳慢慢的落下，火红的晚霞在天空尽情燃烧，我悠哉地躺在主人的书桌上，看着主人把那堆积如山的作业从书包里吃力地拿出来，一丝不苟地写了起来。五点……五点半……六点……时间一分一毫的过去了，主人还在写，时不时闭上眼睛，头重重地垂了下来，晃了一下。主人终于停笔了，伸了个懒腰，“啊，终于写好了！”

突然，他的父亲进来了，手里拿着一大堆书、作业本，“儿子，把这本书看一遍，把这本写五页，还有这个，这个……喏，还有这个，看完一篇，把里面的故事情节大概讲给我听。”刚要拿起足球和朋友们去玩的主人，又不得不坐回椅子了。

主人看完了一篇又一篇文章，写完了一道又一道题，我很疑惑，为什么以前无忧无虑的主人，现在要写这么多题目，看这么多书呢？”“嘿，小明，下来踢球啊，就缺你了。”主人把头伸出去，指了指手上的作业，皱了皱眉，无奈的摇摇头。

父亲又进来对主人说：“儿子，我和妈妈帮你报了几个补习班，你明天就去，明天晚上也有。”

主人好不容易闲了下来，把我折成纸飞机，和小伙伴们玩，小主人在地上快乐的奔跑，我在天空欢乐的飞翔，还不到半个小时，父亲就在窗台上大喊了：“儿子别玩了，快点，快点看书了，去上补习班，第一天上课，别迟到了。”

我在空中飞翔着，透过窗，看见主人还趴在桌上，为什么主人却每天要写作业，上补习班，又看了看别人家的孩子，叹道：“谁家孩子不是如此呢？”

dear mom & dad,

i love you! i love you so much! i love you with all my heart!

thank you so much for bringing up! thank you so much for raising me. i know

how hard you’ve worked during the past years. i can image how many difficulties

and obstacles you’ve conquered. i can imagine all the problems you have faced

and all the sweat and tears you have shed to make my life better. i can fully

understand what a huge responsibility it is to raise a child. you’ve been very

patient with me. you’ve encouraged me and you’ve helped me. you’ve tried your

hardest to give me the best things in life. you’ve made a lot of sacrifices and

many difficult choices. i also know that you have great expectations of me. you
