期盼已久的寒假终于来临了。我快乐的像只出了牢笼的小鸟，感觉自己自由了。假期干点什么呢，我得好好的规划规划。我想：快过年了，不如先收拾收拾家里吧!来个卫生大扫除，反正闲着也是闲着。拿定主意，我就起身行动了。

我想先拿一块抹布，把家里所有的窗户都擦干净，晶亮晶亮的过一个干干净净的2008年。可是，小小的抹布竟然跟我捉起了迷藏，我这儿找找，那儿瞅瞅，就是不见它的踪迹，把我气得团团转，一气之下，我把书桌上的一摞书推倒了地上，却有了意外的发现，这块抹布就在这摞书的最底下，我这才回想起这块抹布的“藏匿史”，原来是我淘气的小妹妹放在这儿的，想到这儿，我不禁为我的“失忆”而感到可笑。

终于找到了抹布，可不能再浪费时间了，一寸光阴一寸金呀!我端起盆子，倒上水，再往盆子里倒上一点儿酒，因为我听说用就擦玻璃可以使窗户的亮度更洁净，所以我要尝试一下。我有顺序的把第一扇窗户搞定了。“真是干净啊!”我自言自语道。随后的几扇窗户我都用上述方法擦干净了，看到洁净的窗户，真有成就感啊!

正当我感到飘飘然的时候，爸爸给我“宣读”了一个对我而言不妙的消息：“你把客厅的大镜子擦了吧!”无奈啊，只得遵命。

唉!镜子好长好宽啊，我费了九牛二虎之力，终于擦完了它的一半，累得我腰酸脖子痛，我想歇一歇，可是忘了手中的抹布，我一撒手，脏脏的抹布“啪”的一声掉在了我的脸上，立刻，我的脸就成了小花脸了。正在喝茶的爸爸听到声音，回头一看，立刻就把刚喝进口的茶喷了出来，可巧，喷了我一身，爸爸忍不住大笑起来，惹得我自己也在笑自己。

唉!还是自认倒霉吧!不过现在回想起来，还蛮有趣的!

这个寒假过的可真是惊心动魄啊!还好没有受伤，这次我可是真的收到了一个大大的教训。

Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.

春节这天，天气晴朗，人们都沉浸在节日的气氛中，我也不例外，早早起来约好几个朋友到外面玩。我们一起来到颐美园小区，这里张灯结彩、火树银花、美不胜收，好看极了!我们几个小伙伴爬假山、荡秋千、做游戏，玩得乐开了花。回到家后只见我家大门的中间贴了一张好大的福字，两边一副对联：春风得意年年好，前程似锦步步高。

下午六点钟我们全家到外婆家吃年夜团圆饭，外婆的厨艺真好，什么“全家福”、“年年有余(鱼)”、“万紫千红”……还有我最喜欢吃的蒸蛋，共有十八道菜，好大的一个圆桌都快摆不下了。吃饭前，家家户户放鞭炮，鞭炮声此起彼伏，一浪高过一浪，爷爷也点燃了一挂万字鞭，响声震耳欲聋，好是热闹。

些平时想做却没时间实践的事。我们全家人利用三天的时间开车到位于台中东势的名胜，大雪山森林游乐区享受天然的森林浴，大量吸收对人体有益的芬多精。站在足足有八百九十多岁的巨大神木前，不但让我感受到大自然具有韧性的一面，更让我体会人类的渺小，看着年长的神木依然长满茂密的枝叶，迎风低声吟唱，真让我感慨一些不懂得爱惜生命的人们，连一棵大树都明白要弯下树干抵挡强风，还有什么是我们无法克服的呢?

当然，该玩的玩过了，该休息的也休息了，再来就是要重拾书本，找回阅读的习惯。因为即使是寒假，适当的阅读仍是必要的。所以只要有长假，妈妈总会带我去书店选购书籍，不论是历史、伟人、小说、文学作品等，都是我喜爱的种类，阅读一本书就好像经历一场有趣的冒险一样，总是令我爱不释手，非得一口气把它看完不可。其实，我觉得书本是知识的来源，尤其是某些发人深省的文学作品，可以使我沉淀心灵，静下来思考，藉此让心中的眼睛睁开苏醒。

或许，有些人认为寒假应该是毫无压力的假期，不过我觉得，寒假固然是让平时紧张又充满规律的快步调生活暂时停歇、放松的假期，但如果总是以「吃饱睡、睡饱吃」的方式度过整整三个星期，那么试问，以高等文明动物自居的人类和其它的动物又有什么差别呢?所以，人必须保持在充满思考、力求进步的状态，才不会辜负了人类与生俱来的智慧及潜能。

转眼间，寒假已进入了尾声，整整一个月都和家人相处在一起，使我不禁想念起同学及老师的笑容。而我相信，经过这些日子的休息，新的学期里我更能凝聚所有的心力，力求更好的表现。

过大年为什么要吃饺子呢?因为过大年吃饺子是中国的传统饮食文化。一家人围坐在一起包饺子，象征着团圆和喜庆。所以，过大年是一定要吃饺子的。

除夕，姥姥家可热闹啦。大舅和二舅全家都回来了，大家围坐在一起，一边说笑，一边包饺子。我也不甘寂寞，拿起一个小擀面杖也忙起来的了。一开始，我是横一下，竖一下，擀得很慢，而且里外一样薄，擀成了一个奇怪的形状。妈妈看见的了，就耐心地教起我来。妈妈一边做着示范，一边说：“左手要一边拿着一边转动，右手擀，左手和右手要互相配合，右手擀一下，左手的片要转动一下，这样，擀出来的皮就会中间厚，外边薄，而且要尽量擀成圆形。”妈妈拿起一个擀好的饺子皮举到灯光前面让我看，果然是中间厚，外边薄。我急忙照着妈妈的样子擀了起来。我右手擀，左手转动，左一下，右一下，两只手配合得还不错。很快，一个圆圆的饺子皮就擀好了。不一会儿，我已经擀得很像样子了。这时，我就迫不及待地要包饺子。我用筷子夹了一点馅儿，照着大人的样子包了起来。可是，我包的饺子瘪瘪的，站都站不住，我不甘心，又包了一个，还是瘪瘪的，很难看。于是，我拿了一小块面团当馅儿，练了起来。我先把两头的边对折捏到一起，然后再捏出一圈小花边，再按照自己的想法，把饺子捏成月亮形、太阳形和沙发形的。我越包越好，大家都夸我心灵手巧，干家务活有样儿。最后，我又包了几个真正馅儿的饺子。

After a semester of hard work, finally put the winter vacation.
