传说很久以前，一个叫孟姜女的姑娘和一个叫范喜良的小伙子结婚了。有一天，孟姜女和范喜良吃饭的时候，从外面冲进来一队官兵，领头的说要带范喜良去修筑长城。孟姜女没有办法，只好同意。范喜良走后，孟姜女天天盼望着他回来，但等了三年，也没等回范喜良。于是，她决定去寻找丈夫。
