There are many advantages to ride the bicycle. In the first place, riding

bicycle makes me feel independent. I can go anywhere by bicycle. Especially

during rush hours, I can still move freely. Secondly, using a bicycle is good

for environment protection, because it wont emit any waste gas. Moreover,

bicycle riding is also a good sport. While riding a bicycle, I can exercise

myself, which is healthful to me.

In my free time, I often ride my bicycle to get around in the downtown area

or in the countryside, so as to relax myself. Its really a nice outdoor

activity for me, I think.

Since I go to school, my parents always tell me that I should study hard,

so that I can find a good job in the future and earn a lot of money. To most

people, the purpose of reading books is to make money. But as I study more, I

realize that making money and reading books don’t have the directly connection.

The children should know more about the world by reading more books, at the same

time, they need to sense the great joy of reading. When they are equipped with

knowledge, they can solve problems by the skills they learn, the most important

thing for them is to face difficulties with positive attitude.

“不到长城非好汉”。今年暑假，我抱着满怀的希望，来到了我梦想中的那个地方——长城。

清晨五点左右，汽车驶出了还在沉睡中的北京城。不一会，便看到了雄伟壮丽的万里长城。往东看不到头，往西看不到尾，连绵起伏，曲折蜿蜒。我想：我们要感谢祖先的聪明智慧和辛勤劳动，给我们留下了这人间奇迹!

“我们开始爬长城了!”老爸兴高采烈地说。我也兴奋极了，脚下像踩着风火轮，以迅雷不及掩耳之势的速度往上冲。一步两个台阶，甚至有时候一步可以登上三个台阶。我心想：这爬长城真是简单啊!

可是，事情并非我想象的那么美好。越往上爬台阶越陡，台阶的厚度也越高，简直寸步难行，到最后我的腿都开始抽筋了。这时爸爸在旁边鼓励我：“坚持就是胜利，人生的道路上也会有许多艰难险阻，我们努力了，坚持了就会有收获。看这绵延万里的长城不也是我们祖先努力坚持付出艰辛劳动后的收获吗?”于是我咬紧牙关，奋力往上爬。一个烽火台、二个烽火台……终于我爬到了终点——好汉坡。这时爸爸微笑着对我竖起大拇指说：“孩子，你想要看到这高处的美景就要付出努力。你想要收获人生的幸福就要付出艰辛。这长城高处的美景，就是你有勇气爬上来和艰辛付出后所换来的收获，明白吗?”我听着爸爸意味深长的话说：“爸，我懂了这个世界没有不劳而获，我们都要靠自己的努力来收获成果。”爸爸听了对我说：“儿子大了，越来越聪明了。”我笑着对爸爸说：“那当然，我现在站在长城上，我还是好汉。”

在这绵延万里的长城上，我和爸爸看到了一种别样的风景。
