主持人撒贝宁和何炅一开场就向我们介绍了今年《开学第一课》的主题是“创造向未来”。无论是“京剧小达人”王泓翔和虚拟的歌手“犀”共同演唱的《墨梅》，还是具有自主知识产权的民用大飞机C919，都在向我们展示创造的魅力，让我们感受到了这个世界的神奇和年代的变化，比如：无人驾驶、移动支付、刷脸识人等各种各样的神奇方式给我们人类生活带来了方便。
