On the weekend I like to spend time in library. I like reading books. There

are many people in the library, but it is very quiet. Nobody talks in the room,

only the sound of page turning. I’m very interested in the space, so I read a

lot of books about space. Recently, I read the book Martian. It is about an

astronaut Mark left on the Mars alone, he did many things to keep himself alive.

After 549 solar days his crew mates came back to take him home. Mark is very

tough to survive in Mars, he is a big hero. In the library I can read so many

story and see the bigger world. I like library.

It is said that Chengdu is a city which if you come you cant leave.It has

a long history.there stands Du Fus thatched cottage ,The Temple of Zhugeliang

and some other place of historical interest.They are all so famous that many

foreign tourists like to come here.Chengdu also has a comfortable weather for

people who live in there.Even though in the winter it is still warmer than any

other cities in China.Besides,as Chengdu people are fond of eating,they have

created many delicious food such as hot pan,Three Big guns,and some others.

When you ask the people around you, what is the most importantFestivalin

China, I guess 99% of the people will say the same answer, theSpringFestival.

There is an old story about Spring Festival. It is said that the monster, named

Nian, will attack people from time to time. In order to drive it away, people

have to light up firecrackers and put some Red paper on the front door and

window at the last day of the Chinese year. Luckily, the monster, Nian, is

afraid of the sound of the firecrackers and the color red; dare not to come any

more. In order to memorialize this day, our ancestors decided that the first

lunar calendar day of the Chinese Year is the Spring Festival.

During the Spring Festival, all the member of the family will get together

on the eve to have a big dinner. Fish, apple, noodle, dumplings, poke, chicken,

candies and so on are indispensable on the table. Fish stands for wealth and

rich of the coming year, apple stands for doing things smoothly, noodle stands

for good health and long live, as to the others, they all symbolize for the

lucky and happiness of the coming year.

Children are the happiest ones during the Spring Festival, not only they

can have lots of companies but also they can have lucky money on the festival.

With the lucky money, they can do whatever they want, such as to set off the

firecrackers, wear new clothes, use their lucky money to buy the things they

want; this is the best part of the Spring Festival, isn’t it?

The Spring Festival is not only means the beginning of the brand-new year,

but also carrying the best wish of the people’s. We are hoping in the New Year

our wish will come true, our life will become better. Anyway, the most

meaningful thing of the Spring Festival is that we spend the time with the

family, the people we love and we know that’s all about.

As it is known to us, Ping An was chosen to perform on the CCTV Spring

Festival Gala with his melodious and strong voice. Also, he had a great

achievement on this dream stage. Although he hadnt gain the popularity among

the audience at the beginning, he always kept his dream in mind and never gave

it up. It is his success that brings home to me the power of dream.

A life without a dream is a life without a sun. Therefore, in no

circumstances can we give up our dream. Unquestionably, dreams are of great

importance. For one thing, a person having a dream will be considered to be more

responsible and unswerving. For another, in pursuit of our dream, there is a

chance that good habits and positive attitudes can be formed, contributing to

our success.

As for our students, what we should do is to choose a healthy seed and

plant it on fertilized soil. Firstly, knowledge is the foundation of dream

realization, so we should spend much time in study to enrich ourselves.

Secondly, it also takes perseverance and confidence if we want to realize our

dreams. Last but not least, we should not be craven and timorous but brave when

we meeting obstacles.

Today, the young generation likes to stay up, because after a day’s working, they will find fun at night, so they are getting home very late and then wake up late, too. As they are wake up so late, they will ignore their breakfast and wait for the lunch, today people will call the meal brunch, it means to eat things between breakfast and lunch time. The fact is that not eating breakfast is bad for our health, our body hasn’t take in things all the night, we need to take in some nutrition in the morning time, so the body can have the energy to work. I’m writing to tell you about the discussion we have had about whether an entrance fee should be charged for parks. 60% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee do not meet people’s expectations, for a park is considered to be a place where the public can have a good time when they are not busy either at home or at work. If an entrance fee must be paid by the visitors for a park, it will be necessary to build a gate and surrounding walls. In the end a city will take on a bad look. 40% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee can be accepted, but it must not be too expensive. The money from ticket selling can be used for paying the gardeners in the park and buying some other kinds of flowers and trees.

i’m very glad to hear from you again. from your letter i know you want to know more about reducing learning load for primary and middle school students in china. let me tell you. before learning load was reduced, i had had to do my homework, so i could not go to bed until half past eleven; but after learning load was reduced, i can visit museums, take computer and painting lessons. at night i can read books and newspapers or watch tv. now i usually go to bed at ten. we are all like it very much.

The 2012 Summer Olympic Games, London 2012 are scheduled to take place in

London, United Kingdom, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. London was selected as

the host city on 6 July 2005. London made great efforts to compete for the

Olympic Games. However, because of the financial crisis in 2008, London met many

troubles in Finance. London has successfully held two Olympic Games before, the

changes of mySchool.

When you walk around our school, you can see various flowers and trees

everywhere. At the same time, you can smell the taste, breathe fresh air. Its a

nice place for us to study.

Please look at the new building over there. Its our library that was

painted white again this year. It not only looks more beautiful, but also has

increasingly more books than before. Reading different kinds of books can

enhance our horizons and increase our knowledge. I still remember I entered the

school two years ago, the library was old enough and I always couldnt find my

favorite comic books. Therefore, I often complained to my classmates that the

library was out of fashion that we were not able to learn fresh knowledge in

it.

What was even worse, as a member of school basketball team, my partners and

I had few chances to practice, as the playground was too small to play and full

of so many students after school. Luckily, I dont have to worry about that

anymore, because our playground is large enough for all of us to play games, and

Transportation has been greatly changed in the past few years. In ancient days, people used to travel by horse or carriage. The journey was often tiring and tedious. The cartoon makes me think of what would I do if I have a time machine. If I

have a time machine, the first thing I want to do is go back to the time when I

The generation gap refers to the difference in attitude toward thing or the

lack of understanding between young people and older folks.

In families as well as in society, the young and the older may not agree

with each other on this and that from time to time. Young people would llke to

make as much money as they could and spend as much money as they could earn

while older folks are easily satisfied with what they earn and save as much as

possible. Young people llke the exciting and deafening pop music while older

folks prefer melodious folk-songs or classic music. A boy and a glrl today may

fall in love with each other as quick as lightning, while their parents or grand

I love to read. When I was three years old, my parents had taught me to

school, I often went to the library and it was my favorite place. Studying in

the library provided me a silent environment. The most important thing was that

as so many excellent students sat around me. I felt the great motivation to move

Trees are very useful to people. They provide us with wood and other

products. They give us shade and they help to prevent drought and floods.

importance of trees. They cut them down at will. They are usually too lazy or

too careless to plant and look after new trees. As a result， the forests

continue to disappear.

Where there are no trees the rain falls on the surface， causing floods， and

carries away with the rich topsoil， in which crops grow so well. When all the

topsoil is gone， nothing remains but worthless deserted.

The big floods of 1998， in parts of China， have already taught us a good

lesson. So every one of us must love trees， protect forests， and keep on

planting trees each year.

Each people all have own dream, so I also have their own dreams. And some

of the dreams are hard to reach, some are very simple. My dream is to fulfill

their own responsibility, maintained a kind heart and cook, these are my dream

Actually fulfill their duties and keep a good heart is not so easy to

think A has more advantages.

When i was in high school, I had to study all the time and hardly had spare

time to do what i wanted to.Besides, I had to focus on my textbooks and doing

exercise again and again. Therefore, I had little time to read magazines and

novels and watch TV. what was worse, I couldnt play with my friends a lot, which

I couldnt stand the most. In a word, all i did in high shool should be

considered for the College Entrance Examination.

However, my college life is totally different from the life in high

school.I can arrange my time freely. I spend most of my time reading in the

library, where I can open my eyes and broaden my mind.In my free time, I also

join some clubs,where i can make a lot of friends of different majors. My

teachers in college are so kind and knowledgeable that they not only teach us

knowledge but also how to be a person and how to get on with others. In
