We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea， there will soon be

none left。 Yet，with modern fishing methods， more and more fish are caught。We

know that if too many trees are cut down， forests will disappear。 Yet， we

continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees。 We see that

if rivers are polluted with waste products， we will die。 Yet， waste products

are

still put into rivers。

We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate， in a

few years， there wont be enough food。What can we do to solve these

problems?

If we eat more vegetables and less meat， there will be more food available。

Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are

kept。

Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them。

The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods

of birth control。

Finally， if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have a

better and cleaner planet in the future。

I study in the No.1 Primary School. Its one of the best primary schools in my city. There are four buildings in campus.Two of them are teaching buildings. The other two are library and gym. The teaching buildings are huge and the classroom is large and bright. There are plenty of books in the library. I like reading books in the library. After class, students like playing in the gym. It’s a popular place after class. Besides, our teachers are great. They care much about students. I am happy to study in my school.

我就读于我们市的第一小学，那是我们这最好的一所小学。学校共有四栋建筑，两栋是教学楼，另外两栋分别是图书馆跟体育馆。我们的教学楼非常宏伟壮观，教室也是又宽敞又明亮。图书馆里面有很多藏书，所以我非常喜欢在那读书。课间时候，同学们都喜欢在体育馆里玩，那儿可是个热闹场所。另外，我们的老师也非常好，对学生都很关心。我喜欢在这所学校读书!

人类，只有一个地球

我热爱地球，热爱我们赖以生存的家园。爱她的青山绿水，爱她的碧草蓝天……

在四野飘香的花丛中，我和蝶儿一起嬉戏、欢笑；在郁郁葱葱的森林里，我与小鸟一起追逐、歌唱；清晨，我迈着轻盈的步履去原野上踏青，雾霭缭绕着、白纱般的柔柔地漂浮在空中。吮吸着花草的芳香，

欣享着阳光的沐浴，我被陶醉在这如痴如醉的梦幻里；夜晚，我坐在稻谷飘香的农家小院里，仰望着璀璨的星空，聆听着蝉鸣嘹响，蛙声如潮，仿佛置身于一个童话般的王国。春天，我坐在牛背上，在一望无际的大草原上，听那牧歌婉，牧笛悠扬。

夏天，我坐在小船上，任双桨拍打着那碧绿的湖水，

看海鸥轻盈地掠过辽阔的湖面；秋天，我站在树下，凝神瞩望着那金黄的叶子一片片地落下；冬天，我站在窗前，欣赏着如絮的雪花在空中翩翩飞舞。在这如诗如画的仙境里，我的心都醉透了！

曾几何时，人们面对看似永远流不尽的水，肆无忌惮的让它流淌，荒废。我曾经看过这样一组数据：“中国是一个干旱缺水严重的国家。淡水资源总量为亿立方米，占全球水资源的6%，仅次于巴西、俄罗斯和加拿大，居世界第四位，但人均只有2200立方米，仅为世界平均水平的1/4、出国留学网美国的1/5，在世界上名列121位，是全球13个人均水资源最贫乏的国家之一。”看到这，我惊呆了，万万没有想到，水也是如此的少，不禁看了看手边上的水杯，“这水，难道就要离我而远行了吗”我在此呼吁全社会，“没有了水，地球上的最后一滴水就是我们的眼泪”！

曾几何时，人们乱砍乱伐，使大自然的生态平衡遭到了破坏。沙丘吞噬了万顷良田，洪水冲毁了可爱的家园，大自然的报复让人类尴尬哑然。梅水溪曾经说过，没有自然，便没有人类，这是世界一大朴素的真理。一味地掠夺自然，征服自然，只会破坏生态系统，咎由自取，使人类濒于困境。这句话说得一点也不错，人不给自然留面子，自然当然也不会给人留后路，98洪水年的沙尘暴，其实，这就是大自然向人类发出的警示。

曾几何时，人们乱捕乱杀，使人类的朋友惨遭涂炭。"千山鸟飞绝，万径人踪灭"，这就是对捕杀动物后果的最真实的写照。从大学生的伤熊事件到愚人们的疯狂捕猎，人类是否也将要把枪口对准自己？切记，保护动物就等于保护我们自己。

曾几何时，战争的爆发，使我们赖以生存的星球满目疮痍。炮火对植被的破坏，核辐射对生命的摧残，尽管广岛、长崎上空的蘑菇云已经散去了半个多世纪，可那里依然还是不毛之地。由此可见，和平是全人类绿色环保的重要前提。

真不敢想象，我们如果再这样继续下去，这个世界将会是一幅怎样的惨景呢？地上寸草不生，天空尘沙弥漫，人类将在魔鬼般的尖叫声中化成堆堆白骨。到那时我们只能说，人类曾经属于过地球，但地球将永远不会再属于人类了。

顾炎武曾经说过，天下兴亡，匹夫有责。保护环境与维护生态平衡的历史重任要落到我们跨世纪一代的肩上。让我们都来关爱自然，热爱地球吧，手挽手、肩并肩、心连心地铸起一道绿色环保的大堤，捍卫资源、捍卫环境、捍卫地球、捍卫我们美好的家园吧！
