韩国总统李明博在担任现代建设集团CEO时，每次给新职员讲话时都说：“不要首先判断这份工作是不是适合你，而是要改变性格去适应工作。”也就是“让身体去适应床”。他说：“希望遇上一个总是肯定自己、合得来的上司的想法简直是不现实，甚至是愚蠢的”。性格不适应就要改变性格，有能力改变性格的人，才能克服任何阻碍。”

李明博小时候家境贫寒，难以想象的贫困生活以及经常遭遇的歧视的眼光，使他的性格比任何人都内向、害羞，有着强烈的自闭倾向，但从上中学开始，他就尝试着改变自己，积极参加社会活动，领导学生运动，投身企业后敢于提出问题，通过不断努力，使自己的性格变得开朗起来。这些经历使李明博坚信，性格也不是固定不变的。

我们在日常工作中看到最多的就是喜欢抱怨；工作太累，工资太少；同事妒贤嫉能、相互争斗；上司则顽固不化、听不进好的建议；老板太抠，管理混乱。这是很多企业的现状和员工的通病。对此我们尝试着做如下的剖析：首先，是否因为我们的抱怨，企业这种现状就改变了？答案：没有。其次，是否因为我们的抱怨，我们在企业的现状改变了？答案：没有。再次，如果有一天我们变成了上司或做了老板，这种现状是否改变了？答案：没有。（因为现在的上司和老板以前大多做过像我们一样爱抱怨的普通员工。

从上可以得出结论：不管我们如何抱怨，企业现状是难以改变的。

以前我也有过类似的情况，在抱怨中工作态度会自然而然地被动起来，这种消极的情绪也会传染和感染别人，碰到问题，就知道怪这怪那，而不是义无反顾、全力以赴地投入，这样怎么可能把工作做好呢？就是你完成了工作，你的功劳也被你的工作态度和抱怨的话所扯平，老板自然也不会赏识你。后来我就反思，到底应该怎么做才是对的呢？唯一办法就是改变自己。

当环境无法改变的时候，你要想改变自己状况唯一的办法就是改变自己，后来我戒掉了“抱怨”，并不断告诉别人也不要抱怨，要感恩老板给你的工作机会；要感恩大家在一起相处的缘分（或长达几年，或短只有几天，好是需要相互给予的）；要学会宽容（每个人都有自己的个性，包括自己）；要学会理解（每个企业管理都有自己的长处和缺陷，你现在这个企业有这方面的毛病，而那个企业就可能有那方面的毛病）；要学会更多的付出（付出越多，得到才能越多）；不去斤斤计较或到处人比人。于是我成熟了，改变了自己，也改变了其它一些人，我们工作也越来越顺利，运气也就越来越好了。

回过头来看，改变真好！但改变真的很难，需要很长时间，并历经很多教训，在不断反思的情况下才能做到。因为陈旧的观念和思维习惯已经深入到你的骨髓和血液，你得像戒毒瘾一样地去改变自我。很多时候，我们都是在失败和挫折中才改变自己的，因为我们把自己逼上绝路了，这正所谓“绝路逢生”。

改变自己难，但并不是不可以，改变自我，就是挑战自我，经过千难万险改变自己后，你一定会有成就感，一定会有喜悦和超脱的感觉。

一个改变自己的人，是一个了不起的人。当你做到改变自己的时候，你会发现你可以改变很多东西和很多人。

改变自己后，你一定学会了理解、宽容、珍惜、爱与感恩、勇敢、进取、懂得放弃却不轻言放弃，乐于助人，有更多的使命感和责任感－－改变之后，收获多多，一片惊喜！

朋友，每个人成在于自己的长处，败在于自己的短处，或者说“习惯决定成败”、“性格决定命运”，其实每个人都有好的性格和不好的性格或习惯，或许只要你能改变一个致命的缺陷，你就会成功，你就会变得更加的完美。

改变自己，多反思！果断点！勇敢点！你一定可以做到。

The Father and His Son

Father had a family of sons who were perpetually quarrelling among themselves. When he failed to heal their disputes by his exhortations, he determined to give them a practical illustration of the evils of disunion; and for this purpose he one day told them to bring him a bundle of sticks. When they had done so, he placed the faggot into the hands of each of them in succession, and ordered them to break it in pieces. They each tried with all their strength, and were not able to do it.

He next unclosed the faggot, and took the sticks separately, one by one, and again put them into their hands, on which they broke them easily. He then addressed them in these words: "My sons, if you are of one mind, and unite to assist each other, you will be as this faggot, uninjured by all the attempts of your enemies; but if you are divided among yourselves, you will be broken as easily as these sticks."

一位父亲有几个孩子，这些孩子时常发生口角。他丝毫没有办法来劝阻他们，只好让他们看看不合群所带来害处的例子。为了达到这个目的，有一天他叫他们替他拿一捆细柴来。当他们把柴带来时，他便先后地将那捆柴放在每一个孩子的手中，吩咐他们弄断这捆柴。他们一个个尽力去试，总是不能成功。

然后他解开那捆柴，一根根地放在他们手里，如此一来，他们便毫不费力地折断了。于是他就告诉他们说：「孩子们!如果你们大家团结一致，互相帮助，你们就像这捆柴一样，不能被你们的敌人折断;但如果你们自行，你们就将和这些散柴一般，不堪一折了。
