Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

Most people miss their grade school days and think they are the happiest time of their life, but whenever I recall them I cannot help feeling a little sad. Unfortunately, we carry our guilt throughout our lives effecting ever-increasing burden on our shoulders. We become heavy with guilt and anger for things we could or did not achieve, for things we cannot have, to cite few examples. Evidently, everyone carry his or her own sack of guilt and anger.

My School Life

My life the most unforgettable is my primary school. Because I do not have to early to go to school every day。 Need not very tired. And also very early from school in the afternoon. Work is very less. Knowledge is also simple. My primary school life is so colorful.

如今，处处可以见到浪费资源的严重现象，如：吃饭时，不把米饭吃干净;洗完手后不关掉水龙头;一些本子没有用完就扔掉了……这些现象数不胜数。

有一次，我在扔垃圾的时候发现了几节废电池，我连忙把它们送到了垃圾的分类回收站里。后来，我查出“真凶”是爸爸，就劝说爸爸一定要注意废旧电池的处理方式，以免污染环境，损害人们的身体健康。我还不厌其烦地说：“一节纽扣电池可以污染600立方米的水呢!”

晚上，我正要睡觉的时候，忽然听见从爸爸妈妈的房间传出阵阵的电视声，原来电视机还在“工作”呢!可是，爸爸妈妈都已睡熟了。唉，又该我出马了!
