During this term I have read a novel The Red and the Black. The novel was written by the French writer Stendhal in the 19th century. Marie·Henri Beyle better known by his pen name Stendhal was one of the critical realism French writers in the 19th century . The military and theatrical worlds of the First French Empire were a revelation to Beyle. Known for his acute analysis of his characters’ psychology and reflection of society he is considered one of the earliest and foremost practitioners of realism in his two novels Le Rouge et le Noir (The Red and the Black 1830) and La Chartreuse de Parme (The Charterhouse of Parma 1839). Stendhal laid down for himself in a diary entry of May 1804:“regard everything I’ve read to date about man as a prediction; believe only what I have seen for myself. 结果为了抓住这只海怪，人们决定连夜开“林肯号”美国军舰去搜索海怪，这艘军舰的奇特之处是它的前甲板上有一个厉害的鱼叉手，眼睛像一副高倍望远镜，非常锐利，一般的鱼是很难躲过他的鱼叉。在军舰的前甲板上还装有一门后膛炮，炮弹重达4千克，射程长达16海里，大概这炮弹一旦打在身上就不得了，但这样可以保证安全，免得会被“海怪”撞伤。离开近海后，进入太平洋，所有人都认真地搜索船身附近的海域，都抢着上甲板巡逻附近海域有无异常，一个个都像打了鸡血一样仔细地搜索着，每天甲板上都闹哄哄的，就像菜市场一样。有一天这位敏捷的鱼叉手发现了“海怪”，那是一个夜深人静的夜晚，周围寂静无声，就连猫头鹰也不叫了，这黑夜静的可怕，一些胆小的船员几乎钻进吊床，可是绝大多数都精神可佳，随时都可以行动一样地侦察着水面。结果这位鱼叉手发现它停在海面上不动，法古拉船长决定用他的炮弹来轰这只海怪，可是发出的炮弹却顺着它光滑又坚固的上半部滑下海底，大家吓得语无伦次，呆在船上不知所措地盯着“怪物”。最终鱼叉手投出了他可怕的利叉，接着，一声尖锐的“咔嚓”声在“海怪”身上响起，它很愤怒，一口气将军舰撞毁了，接着船上的所有船员连同作者都被抛到海里了。看完这段，我发现那几只鸟依然原封不动地站在那儿摇头晃脑地看着我，便心想：嘿嘿，我猜的果然没错，肯定这海怪用力过大，把作者和海员抛进海底两万里侦察去了。

结果作者醒来后，发现鱼叉手和仆人都在身边，起来后发现是在这只海怪上半部，刚好可以观察一下，有放大镜仔细观察，原来，这个东西是用钢板做的!难怪如此刀枪不入。观察了没多久，这“怪物”开始下沉了，突然，上来七个蒙面大汉，作者连同他的仆人和鱼叉手一起被粗暴地驾进了这只潜水艇，开始度过他们艰苦又有趣的海底两万里的旅程......

看完这本书，我不禁回想着什么，心里想：我也好想进这只潜水艇，探索海底世界，要是能随便的出出进进就好了，颇像“海底乐园”，就像老曾一样，教我们各式各样的写作方法，打开知识的天空，让我们一个个都自由翱翔。可是这样的禁闭，我也难以忍受，就像“海底地狱”一样，非常不自在。

Computers are changing our life. You can do a lot of things with a

computer. Such as, you can use a computer to write articles, watch video CDs,

play games and do office work. But the most important use of a computer is to

join the Internet. By joining a computer to Internet, we can get the latest

information in all fields. We don’t need to leave home to borrow books from a

library or to do shopping in a supermarket.

Computers help us live a more convenient life. With the development of

computers, the word is becoming a large family.

today， i still went to my mother‘s office. my mother was very busy， so was my father. they always live in beijing. they must get up early. because they will manage the factory. so i know they are very laborious. so i should save my money. also i should help them. although i can’t do something useful， but i think i should share the work with them. i am one of my family member. in the future， i will take a job and work. it‘ time for me to begin to learn how to work.
