这本书由鲁子问和康淑敏两位专家编写,由华东师范大学出版社出版,可以作为英语教学设计方向研究生教材,也可以作为中小学英语教师设计培训教材使用。我认为在英语学科骨干教师研修班接受培训期间读读这样一本书是再合适不过的。这本书介绍了教学方法与教学策略的相同与差异,提出了教学方法与策略的选择与整合的方法,介绍了英语教学方法的实践操作方法,包括情景教学法、交际教学法、任务教学法和自主学习教学,然后分析了英语教学过程的策略及实践操作方法,并从英语知识教学的策略及实践操作方法、英语技能教学的策略及时间操作方法两方面对英语教学方法与策略的行动研究提供了系统的指导。

编者用六章分别讲了教学方法与教学策略、英语教学方法的实践操作、英语教学过程的策略及实践操作、英语知识教学的策略及实践操作、英语技能教学的策略及实践操作和英语教学方法与策略的行动研究。

我最受启发的是书中的如下观点:呈现学习任务时,应当向学习者描述任务中的问题发生的物理背景、组织和社会文化背景。并且,问题的呈现必然是有趣的或吸引人的,目的是引导学习者的积极参与。让学习者体现到伸手可及的成功;教学活动的设置应考虑学习者的兴趣,需要和情感;老师可以和学习者商量课堂活动的内容并建议学习者把他们感兴趣的学习材料带回班上。让我陷入长久的沉思的是这个观点:“personalities and relationships are important for motivation”即:教师的性格及其与学习者之间的良好关系在调动学习者学习方面很重要。文中提到“即使我们不能完全改变自己去满足不同学习者的需要,但我们可以主动了解学习者感兴趣的话题,如:流行音乐,年轻人喜欢的电影,新车,科技的发展等。看到这里,对于学生为什么没有积极参与我自以为精心准备的课堂活动,我似乎找到了答案:设计活动时,我只是从教材内容和个人兴趣出发。当学生冷淡对待活动时,我只会埋怨大的学习环境不好,埋怨学生不配合,极少去思考是否学生对内容感兴趣,是否活动的难度适合学生,课堂指令是否清晰等因素。文中还指出:即使学生会使用老师准备好的语言结构,也明确活动的目的,但如果他们缺乏信心,也不会积极参与…所以,对学生及时得体的鼓励相当重要,借用李阳老师的话就是鼓励学生 “Enjoy losing face. As was the common practice with the gods of Olympus,Zeus and Hermes were visiting the world in disguise．One day they came to a village．At a thousand house sthey knocked,and a thousand times they were refused rest and food and drink．At last they arrived at a humble cottage,where the old couple Baucis and her husband Philemon lived．Poor but at peace with world,they made the best of what life could offer them ,and felt truly grateful to the gods above．When the two travellers entered the hut,the old couple were glad with lively happiness．They offered their guests their best seat,and immediately set about preparing dinner for them．With no small difficulty they made fire,brought in a fresh cabbage,cut a fat piece of their long kept meat and put them over the fire to cook．The one single goose they were ready to kill for the visitors,but it was saved at the last minute by the guests．The dining bench was a makeshift ,poor and patched but the best they had．The table was supported by a brick．The feast was quite modest,eggs and wine and cot tage cheese,and a variety of newly pickedfruit．The old couple humbly waited on the visiting guests withsincere looks and eager goodwill．Moved at the hospitality ofthe house,the gods told their true identity．“We are gods”,saidZeus．“While the neigh bour hood pays the penalty for itswickedness you shall be free from misfortune．Coming along with us”．When they were near the top of the hill,Bancis and Phile mon looked back and saw all the village below covered by amarsh ,and that among the general ruin and destruction their old cottage alone survived,changed into a grand temple．At their request they were made the guardians of the sacred place of Zeus．When their span of worldly life came to an end they were turned into an ash and linden,standing side by side in front of the temple．

I went to Hainan Island with my parents for a holidy and we stayed there

for a week. It took us only more than three hours to get to Haikou airport. We

enjoyed the warm sunshine and the softwind. We walked on the beach and picked up

the beautiful shells. We also sufed on the waves and it was really exciting. We

played ball games on the beach as well. I believed Hainan was really an

attractive city with famous beach and mountains. We really enjoyed the beautiful

scenery of Hainan.

When I was a freshman in college I watched the film Gua Sha Treatment for the first time, now I am a junior student and I come back to review the movie from a multicultural aspect, I have many different feelings after watching the film again.

At the beginning of the film, XuDatong is given an award and later he delivers a speech. What makes me impressed most is in his speech he says “one day I will become one of you, a truly successful American, today this award proved that America is a true land of opportunity and I am the living proof of that.” At that moment Xu thinks he has realized his American Dream totally with his lovingly wife and adorable son. However, I think it is ironical that to make a speech like that and I assume it is made on purpose to hind a clue for the story’s development. How many non-American people have such a beautiful American dream? One of my classmate studies in American now and before he went aboard he told me his American dream is he can stand at the top of the New York. To be honest, I also dream that one day I can get the Green Card living there happily and successfully maybe working at the Wall Street. When Xu gets the award he thinks he entirely melted in the melting pot neglecting the multicultural obstruct, later the plot goes against the way he thinks. And later Quinlan asked Xu ‘why you be the scapegoat of your father?’ Xu answers ‘because he is Chinese.’ Then maybe Xu knows that there is always a wide gap between Chinese and American cultures.

The second scene is Xu hit his son Denis because Denis hit the son of xu’s boss, at the middle of the film xu tells his boss that he hit his own son is only to show his respect to his boss John Quinlan, that time Quinlan feels puzzled “what a Chinese logic”， yes, American can never understand such a logic full of Chinese characteristic, because they respect everyone including the children, they won’t beat a child to please the boss, and there is no such a conception of degree between employee and employer, they feel everyone is equal, which is quite different from china.

Connected to the second scene, the third difference I want to analyze is the care for the children. In America, people pay more attention to the right of children which can be seen from the law—leaving children alone at home is illegal, while in China it is so common that almost everyone may experience such loneliness. And Children Welfare Agency does work in America which shows the importance Americans attach to children’s right. What’s more, I remember a line ‘No one won the case, especially the child.’ In my opinion, it also manifests the universal concern from the American public to the children.

The fourth aspect is following the procedure, in the film, more than there times, the people focus on the rule, the law, the procedure. At the Christmas Eve Xu wants to return back to his home pretending as a Santa Claus, what a pity, the security recognizes him and persuades ‘you are always a good tenement, never causes troubles for me.’ And another scene is at the end of the film , the judge says ‘I have to follow the procedure.’ However, in China people always have to ask for a favor to do something, and later you have to pay back the favor ，for myself, I prefer the American style, strict to the procedure.

The fifth and the last point is the humors, Quinlan says ‘you can’t fall, your health security is the company paid.’ ‘Datong, welcome home, maybe next time, you can come from the front door.’ ‘dady, why you come from the window’ ‘ because we don’t have a chimney.’ I really adore this distinguished American humor, especially in dangerous situations, which is quite rare in China.

That’s my whole reaction to Gua Sha Treatment.

I am 13 years old now. Yesterday was my birthday. My parents had a birthday party. I invited some friends to the party.

In the morning my mother got up early and began to cook. My father helped her with cooking. They were so busy that they had no time io talk with me.

When all my friends arrived, my mother brought delicious food and a big birthday cake. My father gave me new clothes and some books as presents. I was moved to tears. My friends sang birthday songs for me and gave me some presents. I had a wonderful birthday.

Today is the Dragon Boat Festival in the 5th day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Every year, aunt will pack lots of delicious food. Sweet sweet jujube dumplings for us, especially my mother and I like it best. You can also eat with your elders and sisters at your grandmothers house, and enjoy the Dragon Boat Festival, but this year, it is not so lively. Uncle and aunt went out to earn money. Uncle went out with his sister. There were only three family members and grandparents. It looks very cold.

Early this morning, I have the mother will give me to eat dumplings package dates, who knows but mother was busy with housework. At noon, dad cooked a good meal and cooked food, called grandpa and grandma to come to dinner, but not a bit of a cheerful atmosphere. In the afternoon, in order not to let the festival have a little meaning, my mother and I went out for a stroll with my grandmother. We went to the market, but did not see the shadow of half of the dumplings, to buy dumplings but no jujube. I was disappointed. My mother comforted me and said, "next time you see the decision to sell the zongzi, you can eat it." Its a little better to hear that. Mom visited the clothing store and took us to the home supermarket, and bought some delicious food on the way. From the supermarket out, we have been fruitful.

Back home, I wanted my uncle and aunt, and my four year old sister, so I went online to chat with them, and the little aunt laughed and told me that a lot of jujube zongzi was given to me at the Dragon Boat Festival next year, so I could eat enough. Though we have not been together for Dragon Boat Festival this year, we can also enjoy seeing them online. Uncle and aunt also have an appointment with me. Next year, Dragon Boat Festival will definitely come back for the holidays.

My hometown is in a mountain village near the water.

The back of the village is a large forest, the birds chirp to sing the songs in the trees, the singing is really move!

In the front of the village is a piece of green, as the eye can see the edge of the big rice paddies, dew play on wheat and rice.

Paddy fields, the bottom is a winding river, the fish in the river happy swimming in the water, they are your head above water blowing bubbles, some in the play, and in chat...

The sides of the river is a large lawn of wearing green clothes, open colorful small wildflowers there, the grass dressed up colorful, very beautiful!

Beside the small wildflowers are tall and big willow, willow seems to be played a happy dance in the breeze, like as the swallow song dance.

Under the willow is the lively and lovely children, they are in the running, some in playing games, and in the mining of wild flowers... The children play really happy ah!

This is my hometown, this is my beautiful hometown! The villagers here a happy life.

我的家乡在一个依山靠水的村子里。

村子的后面是一片大森林，小鸟在树上唧唧喳喳地唱起了歌儿，那歌声可真动!

村子的前面是一块绿油油、一眼望不到边的大稻田，露珠在麦稻上玩耍。

稻田边是一条弯弯曲曲、清澈见底的小河，河里的鱼儿在水中快活游来游去，他们有的把头露出水面吹泡泡，有的在嬉戏，还有的在聊天……

小河的四周是一片穿着绿衣裳的大草地，那里开着五颜六色的小野花，把草地装扮得五彩缤纷的，真美丽啊!

小野花的旁边是一颗颗又高又大的柳树，柳树好像是在微风中跳起了欢快的舞蹈，也好像是随着燕子的歌声翩翩起舞。

柳树的下边就是那些活泼、可爱的小朋友们，他们有的在跑步，有的在做游戏，还有的在采野花……那些小朋友们玩的可真开心呀!

这就是我的家乡，这就是我美丽的家乡!乡亲们在这里幸福的生活着。
