According to the variety of social background, personal experience and

personal emotion, differernt people have different opinions towards things.

Thus, there is no doubt that generation gap exists everywhere. We always find

that there are big differences between us and the old generation. We always

regard the old are outdated, while they think us are crazy. They can’t bear the

dress we like, the fashion we pursue or even our childish thinking. Instead, we

could put up with their standpat thingking and their “feudal rulers”. Thus, the

generation gap becomes more and more obvious and serious. However, why don’t we

realize that opinions can be changed, while people can’t. So, we can think in an

People always say that if you want to be successful, then you need to never

give up. I agree with it. The power of insistence is infinite. It can bring us

to our destination. I have made up my mind to finish the task in the planned

time. At the beginning, I would write my homework once I got home and I finished

it quickly without other’s interruption. But sometimes my friends came to my

house and asked me to join the activity, and I would say yes without hesitation.

When I got home was almost ten o’clock, all I wanted to do was to sleep, but

thinking about the homework, then I decided to finish it and refused to leave

them another day. Today’s thing should be done in today. That’s my faith. My

insistence helps me to be an excellent student.

Save the Wild Animals

Many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has changed greatly. For example, with the developmet of cities, the using of insecticide and serious pollution, their living areas have become narrowcr and narrower. Many of the wild animals, now are confronted with food crisis. At the same time, man is killing off species just for getting their fur, skin, horns, teeth and meat.

In order to protect our resources of ecology, people should realize that the loss of any species is at least the loss of source of knowledge and a source of natural beauty. There fore, measures of the following should be taken: pollution standards are made to keepdown poisons; killing off certain rare species is prohibited; national parks should be set up as wild life, reserves.

Only if we human beings take some drastic measures can wild animals be preserved.

为了增广见闻，老师为我们办了一次春游──去故宫博物院参观。我们搭上车 ，一路上我们从车内眺望窗外，发现了一幢与众不同的建筑物。屋顶的形状长得很像庙宇，但是青绿色的。一开始我还以为要来这里拜拜，像泄了气的皮球似的，并垂头丧气的下了车。

我们在又长又宽的楼梯上走着，我走得汗流浃背，好像这阶梯永无尽头一样。好在，不必爬得很高，就可以到“庙门口”了。我从室外往里头一看，发现里面根本没有什么神像，看起来比较像是博物馆。左顾右盼后才看到在一面牌子上写着“故宫博物院”几个字，而且门外也有好多人在排队等着参观呢!一走进院里，第一个投映在我眼前的是古代战争时所使用的头盔，虽然已经过了好几百年了，但它们仍金光闪闪。

接着我们继续向前走，看到了以前的书法，那些优雅的文字就像美丽的天鹅似的，姿态万千。还有古代的画，画上的景色栩栩如生，就像真的一样。到了古埃及区，见到了人人惧怕的木乃伊，那恐怖的模样真让人心惊肉跳。走着走着，忽然发现我们迷路了，这使得我们心慌意乱。一路上我们还看见了一块朽木，我心想：“这种破破烂烂的东西竟然也敢摆出来展览?”在一阵慌乱之中，发现了老师，才让我们喘了一口气。我们深怕再次迷路，所以赶紧溜出了“迷宫博物院”。

今年暑假，我们全家前往北京。那天早上，我们出发很早，在旅馆吃完饭后，我们便来到了“故宫博物院”。故宫，就是我们现在常说的紫禁城，是明清两代的皇宫，也是中国现存最完整的古建筑。

我们买好了观光车的票，坐车的途中，我听到了柳枝触碰的沙沙声，听到了嘻嘻哈哈小孩子的声音，就像一支欢快的交响乐。我看见了平静无波的湖面，我看见了照相的人群，我看见了红瓦白墙的房子，就像一幅栩栩如生的图画。当这么美的图画，合上欢快的交响乐，别提有多美妙了。

不一会儿，我们便来到了“午门”，只见午门人山人海。我们找了许久，才找到了一个位置，照下了午门。

过了午门便是金水桥，过桥进过太和门，就是三大殿。

三大殿分为：“太和殿”、“中和殿”和“保和殿”。“太和殿”是皇上登基、大婚等举行重大仪式的地方;“中和殿”是皇上出席重大典礼前休息的地方;“保和殿”则是皇帝赐宴和殿试的地方。保和殿的意思是永远保持与大臣、与邻国之间的友谊、和平。

接下来就是皇上生活的地方，比如“乾清宫”、“交泰殿”、“坤宁宫”。乾清宫是皇上居住、处理事务的地方，交泰殿是册封皇后、以及皇后生日都在此举行，坤宁宫是皇后居住的地方。还有东西两侧的东六宫和西六宫，就是我们常听到的三宫六院。

听导游说，乾清宫的乾是天的意思，坤宁宫的坤是地的意思，合起来是天清地宁的意思。皇帝修房子很讲究，皇帝是天帝的儿子，天帝有一万间房，所以皇帝的房子是9999.5间房。而每个房门上的钉子是横竖九颗，皇帝以五行的五为中心，恰好五在门钉上横竖在中间，这就代表了“九五之尊”的圣上。

8月9日上午，我参观了位于北京市中心的故宫。旧称“紫禁城”，是明清两代24位皇帝的皇宫，已有500多年的历史了。现在人们叫它故宫，也叫故宫博物院。是我国现存的最大最完整的古代宫殿建筑群，由于它在中国历史上的特殊地位和它精美的建筑群体，不仅是中国最重要的文物保护单位，也是世界著名的文化遗产，被誉为世界五大宫之一。

听导游介绍：明朝皇帝朱棣登基不久，在永乐四年(1406年)下诏营建北京紫禁城，永乐十八年(1420年)基本建成，随从南京迁都北京。故宫南北长961米，东西宽753米，面积约为72.5万平方米。大小宫殿72座，房屋9999.5间,据实际统计，共8704间。外围是一条宽52米，深6米的护城河环绕;接着是周长3公里的城墙，墙高近10米，底宽8.62米，形成一个森严的城堡。四个城角都有精巧玲珑的角楼。放眼望去，红墙金瓦，规模宏大，似京城中的一片宫殿之海。

故宫共有四道门，分别是午门、神武门、东华门和西华门。而故宫的正门就是午门，俗称“五凤楼”，因在罗盘上，上午的代表正南，所以午门也是南大门的意思。它的平面呈“凹”字型。正中开了三道门，两侧都有掖门，这种做法称为“明三暗五”。五个门洞都有各自的用途：中门是皇帝专用的，或者皇帝大婚的时候，皇后可以从这里入宫，科考三甲也可以从这里入宫;平时，文武百官走左门，宗室王公走右门;掖门只有在大型活动的时候才开，三品以下的官员按照文东武西分别通过东西掖门，外国使节要从西掖门才可以入宫;在殿试的时候，考生分单双号从东西掖门通过。

从天安门往里走，穿过一片青砖铺地的广场，便到达紫禁城的正门----午门。这里是一个宽阔的庭院，看到内金水河，它自西向东蜿蜒流过太和门广场，上边还有5座汉白玉石桥，随河宛转，形似玉带。桥的北面是太和门，一对威武的铜狮守卫在门的两侧。过桥经太和门便是雄伟的太和殿。

故宫的建筑依据其布局与功用可分为“外朝”与“内廷”两大部分。“外朝”与“内廷”以乾清门为界，乾清门以南为外朝，以北为内廷。故宫外朝、内廷的建筑气氛迥然不同。

外朝以太和、中和、保和三大殿为中心，位于皇宫的中轴线，此外两翼东有文华殿、西有武英殿、内务府等，是明清两代皇帝办理政务、举行朝会及其他重要庆典的场所。

其中三大殿中的太和殿，俗称“金銮殿”，高28米，面积2380多平方米，是故宫最大的殿堂。在湛蓝的天空下，那金黄色的琉璃瓦重檐屋顶，显得格外辉煌。殿檐斗拱、额枋、梁柱，装饰着青蓝点金和贴金彩画。正面是12根红色大圆柱，金琐窗，朱漆门，同台基相互衬映，色彩鲜明，雄伟壮丽。大殿正中是一个约2米高的朱漆方台，上面安放着金漆雕龙宝座，背后是雕龙屏。方台两旁有6根高大的蟠龙金柱，每根大柱上盘绕着矫健的金龙。仰望殿顶，中央藻井有一条巨大的雕金蟠龙。从龙口里垂下一颗银白色大圆珠，周围环绕着6颗小珠，龙头、宝珠正对着下面的宝座。梁枋之间彩画绚丽，各式雕龙，多态多姿。太和殿是举行重大典礼的地方。皇帝即位、生日、婚礼和元旦等都在这里受朝贺。每逢大典，殿外的白石台基上下跪满文武百官，中间御道两边排列着仪仗，皇帝端坐在宝座上。大殿廊下，鸣钟击磬，乐声悠扬。台基上的香炉和铜龟、铜鹤里点起檀香烟雾缭绕。

太和殿之后是中和殿，这是一个亭子形方殿，殿顶把四道垂脊攒在一起，正中安放着一个大圆金宝顶，轮廓非常优美。举行大典，皇帝先在这里休息。后面保和殿是每年除夕皇帝赐宴外藩王公的场所，也是科举考试举行殿试的地方。

穿过乾清门，便进入内廷。内廷以乾清宫、交泰殿、坤宁宫为中心，两翼为养心殿、东西六宫。凤凰逐渐增加，出现了双凤朝阳、龙凤呈祥的彩画，还有飞凤、舞凤、凤凰牡丹等图案。是帝王与后妃居住之所。

乾清宫是内廷的正殿，高20米。殿的正中有宝座，内有“正大光明”匾。是皇帝处理日常政务，批阅各种奏章的地方，后来还在这里接见外国使节。

坤宁宫北面就是御花园。御花园里有高耸的松柏、珍贵的花木、山石和亭阁。御花园原名宫后苑，占地11000多平方米，有建筑20余处。以钦安殿为中心，园林建筑采用主次相辅、左右对称的格局，布局紧凑、古典富丽。殿东北的堆秀山，为太湖石迭砌而成，上筑御景亭，名为万春亭和千秋亭的两座亭子，可以说是目前保存的古亭中最为华丽的。

从御花园出顺贞门，就到故宫的北门神武门，明朝时为“玄武门”，玄武为古代四神兽之一，从方位上讲，左青龙，右白虎，前朱雀，后玄武，玄武主北方，所以帝王宫殿的北宫门多取名“玄武”。清康熙年间因避讳改称“神武门”。是宫内日常出入的门禁，对面有用土、石筑成的景山，松柏成林。整体布局上是故宫建筑群的屏障。现为故宫博物院正门。

In modern society, pressure is ubiquitous. As students, we have to endure

the pressure from examination, from homework and from our parents’

expectations.As workers, people are faced with the pressure from deadline, from

difficulties and from finance and so on. Here I would like to give some

suggestions about relieving pressure.

First of all, to confide to others is an efficient way for relieving

pressure. When we feel so anxious and worried that we cannot continue to work or

study, go to talk with our friends or family members and we will get some relief

and feel better. Second, to do some exercises is another way to relieve

pressure. If we are under pressure for a long time, doing some exercises can

First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going

In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage

to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much

more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time

addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and

professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of

waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a

foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a

the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of

delivery.

However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I

might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also,

there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last,

Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too

much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the

Internet.

Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to

me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I

can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

At first, I fell in love with these songs, I learned to sing them, I found

今天，我以一个志愿者的身份来到了乡下，到了陈爷爷家。

陈爷爷家房子不大，走进门，映入眼前的却是，阴暗狭窄的大堂，我敲了敲门，礼貌地问了一句：“陈爷爷在家吗?”

一个房间里走出来一位老奶奶,她热情地招待我，问我：“小朋友，你是谁，是来干什么的?”“我是志愿者，来帮助陈爷爷的。”“哦，陈爷爷在那个小房间里呢!”说着，她便向一个小房间指去。

我向奶奶指的地方走去，看见的却是在厨房忙东忙西的陈爷爷，我叫了一声：“陈爷爷。”陈爷爷回过头笑咪咪到看了我一眼，我发现陈爷爷既是一个残疾人，真是不可思议，赶紧走上前说：“陈爷爷，你歇会吧!我来帮你吧!”“小朋友你真懂事，谢谢，不过我的身子还硬朗的很。”看着，我真为陈爷爷心痛。

我趁陈爷爷在厨房里，我拿起拖把、扫把、撮箕，开始打扫卫生，爷爷看见直夸我棒。

我从这次志愿者活动中感受到了，人不管贫穷富贵，不管健康，还是残疾，只要帮助别人，自己会快乐，别人也会快乐。帮助别人就在一念之间，说起来容易，做起来有点难，要有帮助别人的勇气和力量,要有坚韧不拔的毅力，持之以恒的决心，才能真正做好一个合格的志愿者!

Today, I came to the countryside as a volunteer and went to Grandpa Chens

house.

Grandpa Chens house is not big. When I walked in the door, I saw a dark

and narrow lobby. I knocked on the door and asked politely, "Is Grandpa Chen at

home?"

An old grandmother came out of a room. She greeted me warmly and asked me:

"Little boy, who are you and what are you doing here?" "I am a volunteer to help

Grandpa Chen." "Oh, Grandpa Chen is here. In that small room!" As she spoke, she

pointed to a small room.

I walked to the place where my grandmother pointed, but what I saw was

Grandpa Chen busy in the kitchen, I called out, "Grandpa Chen." Grandpa Chen

turned around and smiled and glanced at me, I found Grandpa Chen As a disabled

person, it was incredible, so he quickly stepped forward and said, "Grandpa

Chen, take a break! Ill help you!" "Youre so sensible, my little one, thank

Chen.

When Grandpa Chen was in the kitchen, I picked up the mop, broom, and

dustpan and started cleaning. Grandpa saw that I was great.

I have felt from this volunteer activity that no matter whether people are

poor or rich, healthy or disabled, as long as they help others, they will be

happy and others will be happy too. Helping others is just a thought. Its

easier said than done. It takes courage and strength to help others,

perseverance and perseverance to be a truly qualified volunteer!

Nowadays, some discussions about the childrens education and management

have raised the whole social concern. It seems not only about childrens

personal development, but also about the whole countrys future.

There are two main views in debate, which of them is that children should

obey the rules set by parents and teachers. The other is that less control will

help children to deal with their future adult life.

As for the former, the advantages of it seem to be very apparent, which of

them is that children can make a distinction between right and wrong things. And

they will have a sense of principle and responsibility. Of course, the

disadvantages are also very clear. Firstly, children will be lacking in

imagination and creation. Secondly, they cannot make up their mind on their

own.

Concerning the latter, the view seems to be reasonable because in this ways

these children are more clever and active to create something special. However,

the drawbacks couldnt be ignored as a result of a problem that children cannot

get a clear understanding of their lifetime.

Combining the both points, as far as Im concerned, parents and teachers

are supposed to instruct children to obey the primary principle when they do

some deeds. Moreover, children need more freedom to realize their dreams. Only

in this way can the problem be solved perfectly.

In conclusion, we cant only support one side simply. On the contrary, we

ought to choose different measures to educate children flexibly.

I love reading, which enriches my knowledge and helps me know more about

the world. I love the school atmosphere. Students study together here and make

progress gradually. My favorite place here is library. I can read many books

here. Once I have some questions, I can find a lot of information. We fight for

the goal and plan details in the library in group task. I have so many good

memories to study here, which makes me so happy. No matter which school I am in,

I will always find this quiet corner and study what I like. I love the feelings

there.
