先将一些米粉倒在盆里，倒入热水，反复揉搓，揉成面团后，将面团分成一块一块的，搓成细细长长的条条，别看这搓成条很简单，却很难把它们搓匀，有时太细了，有时太粗了，就要重新搓。费了九牛二虎之力，才搓好一条，我分成均匀的一小块一小块，只见奶奶们用力揉搓，搓出一个又一个元宵，我学着奶奶们，左手在下，右手在上，轻轻搓一搓，一个元宵就做好了。

这时，蒋老师来到我们身边，说：“大家想不想做金元宝啊?”“想!”全班的声音如雷声滚滚。“那你们眼睛睁大了，我要做喽!”只见蒋老师将面团搓圆，两边轻轻一按，一翘，金元宝就出现了。“哇，我们要自己做一个!”全班拿起一块，开始做金元宝，我做了好多次，可就没有一次让我满意，我望着后面已经做了好多元宝的罗悦，又羡慕又好奇：“罗悦，有什么诀窍吗?”“有啊，按的时候不要太深，元宝就好看了。”我试了试，果然，包出的元宝十分漂亮，于是，我做了一个又一个，突然，我发现蒋老师在做一种我不认识的样子，就问：“蒋老师，这是什么东西啊?”“小鸡，我来教你一下吧。”只见蒋老师将面团搓圆并搓长，将顶部捏出一个小嘴巴，尾部翘起来，就成功了。我回到位置上，照着蒋老师的方法捏出了一个怪模怪样的小鸡，我重新搓了一遍，这才搓出一个像样的小鸡来。我发现许多同学捏出了各种各样的东西，有：棒棒糖、冰淇淋、山、鸟头……我也捏了四角星、五角星、爱心等。

开吃啦!我们一窝蜂冲到了盛汤圆的位置，我一盛好，就迫不及待地冲到座位上，大口大口地吃起来，香香甜甜的味道在我嘴里弥漫开来，我还吃到了快乐的味道、团圆的味道。

今天真是难忘的一天，大家的脸上都洋溢着幸福的笑容!

Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them.

Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty.

Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.

Living alone or Living with Roommates

Nowadays, there has appeared a heated discussion among the college students as to whether they should live alone outside the campus or live together with other roommates in the students’ dormitory. Opinions are divided over the matter.

Those who are in favor of Living alone maintain that it is very convenient to live by themselves. They can enjoy absolute freedom in a room of their own.
