重阳节是九月九日，双九是生命长久、健康长寿的意思，所以重阳节也叫“老人节”。重阳节是尊老、敬老、爱老、助老的老年人节日。

金秋送爽，丹桂飘香，农历九月初九的重阳佳节，活动丰富。许许多多的传统美德将在这一天纷纷涌现。比如：给老人让座、扶老人过马路、陪他们郊游、散步、登高、吃重阳糕、赏菊等等。多为老人做善事，让她们吃好，穿好，住好，让老人保持精神愉快才是最大的孝顺。

The summer vacation had come again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it.
