Honesty means speaking the truth and being fair and upright in act. He who lies and cheats is dishonest.Those who gain fortunes not by hard labour but by other means is dishonest.

Honesty is a good virtue. If you are honest all the time,you’ll be trusted and respected by others. A liar is always looked down upon and regarded as a black sheep by the people around. Once you lie, people will never believe you even if you speak the truth.

My uncle has been in America for quite a few years. He used to live in Pudong. He wanted to come back to his homeland very much. Last summer he came to Shanghai and I took him to visit Pudong. He couldn＇t find his old house. He said, "What great changes!" He decided to stay and spend the rest of his life in Shanghai.

生活中有许多以诚信待人的事，最让我佩服的是给我们开车的司机叔叔那种诚信待人的精神。

那是一个晚上，司机叔叔在飞龙车站等生意，一位四十多岁、提着大包小包的大妈坐上叔叔的车要去一个小村庄。

在路上，叔叔跟大妈拉家常，一问才知道，大妈是去新疆捡棉花回来的。

到了站，大妈提着东西下了车。

叔叔开着车回到了家，到了家才看见一件褂子落在车上了，再一摸兜，这一摸可把司机叔叔吓坏了，兜里面还装着几千块钱！叔叔想：这肯定是那位大妈掉的，现在天色已晚，明天我送到交通局的出租办。

每个司机捡了东西都要交到出租办。

第二天一早，司机叔叔把衣服交到出租办，交警叔叔表扬了司机叔叔，还让失主快认领。

过了一会，那位大妈急忙来到了出租办，并对司机叔叔说：谢谢你啦，小伙子，这是我两个月来捡棉花的钱！

司机叔叔说：不用谢，这是我应该做的，做人应该讲究诚信！

如果每个人都像司机叔叔那样讲究诚信的话，世界将会变得更美好！
