The sustained damage to the environment has caused a serious problem, such as air pollution, sand storm, extraordinary weather, and diseases etc., people suffer from what they have done to the environment.

However. People have realized that it will be too late if they don’t do anything to prevent things from getting worse. For example, there is an “Earth Hour” on a Saturday of March of each year. It is a global movement, usually it lasts from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. It is also called “Light-off for One Hour”. During this hour, all the light will be turned off. The purpose of this movement is not only to save energy, but also to warn the people to realize the importance of protecting the mother earth, and to stop violating the environment.

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public transportation. The most important is that we must realize that we can do a lot of things to protect our environment. As a college student,I can be responsible to say that all my classmates dream about getting a satisfying job,and devote themselves to this career in an perfect environment.Certainly I am not an exception too,though nowadays there is a growing employment pressure . For many students, a satisfying work environment may be the aim of four-year college life,I also hope I can work in a colorful and competitive climate in the future .At first,I can get a handsome salary so that I live a comfortable life .Although salary is not the main factor , most of people they cannot neglect salary,because job with low salary cannot hold water for the young men . Whats more, I can learn more working experience and get a wide view to increase my knowledge，because I think there is no limit to knowledge and if one person wants to take a great progress in his career learning is the only way .In finally ,I hope I can meet a competitive opponent.There was a saying by Charles darwin:” It is not the strongest of the species that survive,but the one most responsive to change”.So I think competition is conducive to progress. There is no doubt that everybody want to get a perfect job,but employment pressure has been a problem that we cannot overlook.So we have to spare no effects to improve ourselves ,I believe that we can get a satisfying job as long as we constantly strive to study.

As the pace of life continues to increase, we are fast losing the art of

relaxation.Once you are in the habit of rushing through life, being on the go

from morning till night,it is hard to slow down. But relaxation is essential for

a healthy mind and body. Stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is

no way to avoid it. In fact, it is not the bad thing as it is often supposed to

be. A certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give purpose

to life. It is only when the stress gets out of control can it lead to poor

performance and iiihealth. The amount of stress a person can withstand depends

very much on the individual. Some people are not afraid of stress, and such

characters are obviously prime material for managerial responsibilities. Others

lose heart at the first signs of unusual difficulties. When exposed to stress,

in whatever form, we react both chemically and physically. In fact, we make a

choice between "flight or fight"and in more primitive days the choices made the

difference between life or death.The crises we meet today are unlikely to be so

extreme, but however little the stress, it involves the same response. It is

when such a reaction lasts long, through continued exposure to stress, that

health becomes endangered. Such serious conditions as high blood pressure and

heart diseases have established links with stress. Since we cannot remove stress

from our lives (it would be unwise to do so even if we could), we need to find

ways to deal with it.

How to protect our environment

We all know it is becoming more and more important to protect our environment well.We should stop cutting down trees ,dropping litter everywhere and throwing waste before it is processed. It has caused lots of problems such as much rich land becomes desert;Rivers become dirty ;The air is becoming worse and worse ;The temperature is becoming hotter and hotter.So we must do something to change the situation.Wed better walk or ride bikes to work or go to school instead of driving a car,We mustnt use plastic bags.Our government must take some measures to prevent factories producing smoking etc.

Environmental problems are being more and more serious all over the world。

For example， cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and

poisonous gas is given off by factories。 Trees on the hills have been cut down

and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers。Furthermore， wherever

we go today， we can find rubbish carelessly disposed。 Pollution is， in fact，

threatening our existence。
