Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and

credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are

History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use

of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum

requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

Apart from academic work, I have been actively involved in extra-curricular

activities. I am Chairman of the English Club and I have represented my school

in many inter-school contests.

On the advice of my friends, I have decided to further my studies in

England because I wish to widen my horizons and benefit from the scholarly

heritage of your country.

I wish to continue to study the above-mentioned subjects at your college in

the 2006/7 academic year before I sit the Advanced-level Examinations in

England.

As regards my character, Mrs. Chen, my Principal, and Mr. Huang, my English

master, have agreed to act as my references.

As I come from a family of fairly limited means, I would like to know if

there is any financial assistance available for overseas students.

In Haimen there is a park. It’s a big and beautiful park. It has two gates. They are the North Gate and the West Gate. Many people park their bikes in front of the gates.

There is a shop at the North Gate. When you go into the park through the North Gate, you will find a large square on your right and you will see lots of trees and flowers around you. In the west of the park, there is a playground.

Sometimes some children fly kites on it and some people sit on the grass and chat. In the middle of the park, there is a lake. There are many boats on it. There is a hill in the east of the park.

The park is very beautiful. I love it very much. Will you come to visit it some day?

A computer, a pencil case and some books are on the desk. The baseball is under the desk. My backpack is on the bed. look! Here is my watch. Its on the dresser. Where is my notebook?

Many people regard money as the most important thing in their life, but I

dont agree with them. There are so many things that money cant buy. The first,

money cant buy us knowledge, abilities and experience. The second, money cant

buy us a happy mood and a good health.

However, money plays a significant role in our daily life. We cant live

without it, because we have to use money to buy our daily necessities, like

food, drinks, clothes, books, and so on. And we also need money to pay for our

houses and education.

Today is Sunday, I’s hot today. The air is fresh, the sky is blue, the cloud is white. The scene is so beautiful here. There are many trees, the trees here are green, there are many birds in the trees, singing the songs. They are very happy, we are very happy, too.

Can you guess, what day is it today? Good! That great! Today is my birthday! There are many friends at my home, they says:”Happy birthday for you!”They are very funny.

Today, I wears my favorite dress, this is white . Look at me! My hair is white, I have two big blue eyes, and a small mouth, I’m very happy!

There are many sweet food on the table, they are cock、chicken 、beef、cafe ……

Our English Teacher Our English teacher， Ms Huang， came to our school in 1970.

She has been an English teacher for more than 30 years.

She works hard and has been a model teacher for many years. She is kind and friendly to us after class， but She is rather strict with us in class.

She always encourages us to speak and read more English.

She often says，"Practice makes perfect." She is good at teaching and tries her best to make every lesson lively and interesting.

She often gives us slide shows， teaches us English songs and helps us to put on short English playS. She is not only our teacher but also our friend.

We all respect and love her. Tomorrow she is going to attend an important meeting， at which she will be given a medal for her advanced deeds.

大家，上午好！

我是五（1）中队的吕子研，今天，我要竞选的职位是大队长。

很荣幸我能来竞选这个职位。小的时候就是班长，从幼儿园到现在一直都是班长，对这个职位也很了解，现在班里我就是好学生，也是班长，还是宿舍长，是女生中的女神。我相信我有这个能力但任大队长这个职位。在上一届大队委中，我是组织委员。我四年级就当上了大队委，我希望大家可以支持我。

我成绩优异，是个乐于助人的女孩。我的成绩优异，成绩在班里排前三。当然，我不会因为当上了大队长而导致学习落后。我在课下也会帮助需要帮助的人，那些不会做题的，都可以来问我，我也可以耐心解答。

在组织方面，我还是有待提升，但我相信，我一定可以克服这个困难！其实，班里男生都怕我，他们知道我一生气就会像火山般爆发，当然，管理整个学校的学生，我也可以。

我是个德智美体劳样样在行的女孩子，无论是什么妖魔鬼怪，遇到了我，也一样会屈服。我也一定不会偏心，不管是对我们班的还是对我们年级的，遇到了错误的行为，我也一样会纠正他们，并记下来，我不会偏心。

当大队委就是为同学服务的，我不会发怨气，也不会说什么不公平。俗话说得好：“只要管好自己，才能管好别人”，我能管好我自己，也一定能管好同学们！

今天我演讲的题目是“祖国在我心中”。

每当我听见高昂、铿锵有力的国歌的时候。我心潮澎湃。

祖国的昨天，母亲受了多少耻辱，她的儿女们在水深火热中生活着。我们永远忘不了“虎门销烟”、“九·一八事件”和“南京大屠杀”，更忘不了“圆明园的毁灭”。这是中国人抹不去的耻辱，更是中国人抹不去的记忆。

做过的今天，是辉煌的，是强大的。随着科技迅速的发展。祖国创就了许多高科技。我们也可以坐在明亮的教室里学习。现在的中国不再落后，不再贫穷，而是想顶尖的发展前进着。

祖国的今天，将由我们之一代来焊接，我呼吁：同学们，好好学习吧！让我们一起携手共同创造祖国的明天，让祖国变得更加辉煌，更加美好，更加富饶。加油！
