A new high-performance swimsuit,developed by mimicking the skin of sharks,will be worn by top athletes in Athens from this week.

The revolutionary new fabric,developed by Speedo,is the result of four years of research and development that began with the study of shark skin at the Natural History Museum .

The new swimsuit,called Fastskin FSII,increases a swimmers speed by reducing passive drag through water by up to 4% more than the next best swimsuit.

Research into shark skin texture and movement through water was carried out under the guidance of Natural History Museum fish expert Ollie Crimmen.

Tiny teeth cover the surface of a sharks skin and the shape and positioning of these teeth vary across the body to manage the flow of water.

With these findings Speedo created a full bodyskin with different fabrics on different parts of the body and for the first time,male- and female-specific and stroke-specific swimsuits.

世上无难事，只怕有心人。没有什么难事能难倒我们，只要坚持克服困难就可以了。

每年一次的世界环保日到了，学校的各种团体都打算为这次的活动大显身手，热爱环境的我积极的参加了这次活动。于是我和我的组员背负着全学校人的希望，开始了艰巨的任务。

开始时，我在选材方面犹豫不决，我在一些细节上发现，现代生活中人们越来越多的使用塑料袋，塑料随着时间的流逝逐渐飘到海里，造成每年都有一头鲸鱼被塑料袋毒死，这些信息令我即惊讶又悲伤。我想，用这个材料做宣传单再适合不过了，于是我把宣传单完全做成了一个演讲稿，但做保护环境的宣传并没有我想象的那么容易。

到了小组展示时间了，第一个就是我，我信心满满地走上前去，我讲的非常细，但好像并没有引起台下人的兴趣，甚至有些人开始抱怨：“你这还能叫环保活动吗？这白纸黑字的宣传稿，别人肯定不会感兴趣的，不但没起到宣传作用，还浪费了这么多的纸”。我的手心开始出汗，难道还有比我的更详细的吗？但看到别人的宣传稿，使我突然没有希望了，虽然别人的没有我讲的详细，但他们每一个人的宣传稿都设计了一番，非常漂亮。就在我认为没有希望的时候，有两个相同票数的人，要再选一次，原来保护环境并没有那么简单。

回到家，我想，这种枯燥的宣传稿谁都不想看，那怎样才能设计呢？不知不觉我在纸上乱画起来，突然我灵机一动，心想：别人能设计宣传稿，那我为什么不能画插画在上面呢？于是我把每张宣传单都画上一些小插画，有的是画上一个小鲸鱼肚子里全是塑料，有的画的是海底布满塑料，不光这些，我还准备了一个关于环保的小动漫。这回万事具备，只差最后的评选了。我用独出心裁的设计赢得了组员的认可，原来保护环境也不难。

活动开始后，宣传单就布满了整个学校，我的创意也吸引了路人的眼睛。第二周，再到学校，我发现我们的活动起到了很大作用，连食堂的包装袋都是纸质的，我发现保护环境也不是很难。虽然这次活动只在学校进行，但我相信保护环境的精神一定会影响更多的人。

星期五下午放学后，我一回到家，打开门，就看见妈妈正在宰鸭。她脚下踏着鸭掌，手左捏着鸭头，右手正在挥刀杀生。我刚想阻止，怎料妈妈手起刀落，“啪”的一声，整个鸭儿摊在了地上，血从它的脖子上涌出来。

我走上前去，厉声质问妈妈：“你为什么要宰我的鸭儿。你不觉得这样很残忍吗?它是我的好伙伴，你却这样伤了它。书上不是说动物是人类的好朋友，我们要保护动物吗?”爸爸说：“区区一个鸭子，有什么好哭。”我再也不想跟他们辩了，于是直冲入房，捂住被子，号啕大哭起来。

吃完饭，我打开电视，在转到宠物频道时，我看到有一个人养了一只鸽子。有一天，那鸽子在树上被卡住了，飞不下来。于是，主人就不顾危险爬到树上去，将鸽子救了下来。但是却把他困在了树上，直到有人打了求助电话，他才平安地下来。

是呀，为了一只动物，那个养鸽人却能不顾生命危险去救助，多么令人感动呀!我们人类与动物就应这样和睦相处，好好保护我们地球的生态环境。不过，我听老师说，对圈养来改善生活的家禽、家畜，我们是可以区别地分开来对待的。

小狗的经历危险也有几次。第一次是掉进了河里，幸好被人发现拉了上来，喂给它吃药，不久就好了。还有几次是被毒狗的人毒了几次，幸好也被及早治疗，才得脱险了。从那以后，它就能嗅出那些食物有毒，哪些食物无毒。后来，我家的狗再也没中过毒。它够机灵吧!

我喜欢我家的小狗。我希望它永远伴随我左右，陪我快乐成长!

我家有一只聪明怜俐的小狗，它有一个好听的名字—球球。

球球全身毛白如雪，铜铃大眼，鼻子滑漉漉的，尾巴短短的，远看就像一个小茸球。

它特别喜欢睡觉。有一次，我去洗澡，它在客厅东走走，西逛逛，实在无聊了便走到床头柜下，抻了个懒腰，肚皮朝上，悠然自得的躺在地上。小脑袋向左面歪着，两只小爪紧紧的抱在一起，很陶醉的闭上眼睛睡着了。等我洗完澡，正想找它玩的时候，看到它已经呼呼大睡了。

它不但爱睡觉，还很贪吃。记得有一次，我们吃着香喷喷的排骨，球球看见了，馋得直流口水，看到它的样子，我真的不忍心，只好向地上抛了一块骨头，小狗跳了起来，迅速地叼住了骨头，爬到了床底下，狼吞虎咽地吃了起来，吃得津津有味。

这就是我们家贪吃好睡的球球，你们喜欢它吗?

看着变得越来越少的动物，濒临灭绝的动物越来越多，我们是不是应该开始保护动物，从我们身边的小事做起。

看了科普书《森林报》(春)后，我对大自然有了些认识，它让我爱上了蹦蹦跳跳的小白兔，喜欢上了警觉的松鸡，迷上了好斗的琴鸡，但我印象最深刻的是里面的小篇章——《打猎》。

它主要讲述了猎人们怎样打猎。如果猎人要打勾嘴鹬的话，会选择在黄昏时打他们，并会先打雌的(前提是一对勾嘴鹬夫妇)。这样雄的勾嘴鹬就会为找不到自己的妻子而发愁，这时，猎人就扔起自己的黑帽子。雄勾嘴鹬以为那是自己的妻子，于是就俯冲下来，这时，猎人再开枪把勾嘴鹬打死。

猎人们打野鸭也有自己的一套方法。他们先把捕捉到的野鸭训练成“叛徒”，然后把那只野鸭带到河面上，野鸭就会大声地叫，它的叫声吸引了众多野鸭，猎人就一枪一枪地把他们打死。

看完后，我觉得猎人们非常残忍。可转念一想，他们是为了生存而不得已这样做的。既然这样，还是从我们做起，开始保护动物吧。

现在，首先，我们尽量少吃那些用动物做成的菜啊，汤啊等等，否则就等于在杀害那些小生命。就拿鸭子来说吧，我大约算了一下，全中国最少也有几千个烤鸭店，而每天至少要卖出几十只烤鸭，这样每天就会死几万只鸭子，每年就会更多了，更何况这仅仅是中国的数子啊，要是全世界的数目就会更可怕的。其次，我们尽量不要捕捉小鸟，这样，它们可能会受惊，再加上没有朋友的陪伴，它们可能会闭上眼睛的。难道你忍心看着一只只快乐的小鸟就这样悲惨地死去吗?

让我们从自己做起，从小事做起，保护动物，保护我们的家园。

Its all because of us. When people admire the beauty of the seaside, they throw the foul rubbish into the sea. There are also people living on the beach, the toilet drain pipe to the bottom of the sea. Whats worse is that the factory waste water flows into the sea in large stocks, and the sea is dyed in a strange color. Led to the birth of a lot of lack of brains, low IQ infants, our next generation - bright eyes [voice tender], the face of the next generation of red, will never see the beautiful blue sea.

Someone once did an experiment. He compared a basin of water to the ocean, and dropped a drop of ink into the sea. Immediately, the ink slowly spread out, became shallow and disappeared. The sea water was almost as clean as ever. If the ink kept dropping, the color of the sea would be deeper and darker, and eventually it would become a basin of black water. 6 billion people on the earth produce large quantities of living waste water and industrial pollution every day.
