猎豹长得真威猛。它的头平而滑，耳朵短短的。两只眼睛像铜铃一般，炯炯有神。脸的两边有两块突出的肌肉，白白的，上面有一粒粒小黑点，点上有一根根钢针般的胡须。身上有一个一个黑色的斑点。除了肚皮是白色的，其余部位的毛都是金黄色的。它的整个身躯呈现流线形，适合急速奔跑。它的四肢非常发达，富有弹性。猎豹的爪子比较直，能牢牢地巴住地面，改变奔跑方向。而它的那条长长的尾巴，在奔跑时能起到加速的作用呢。
