新的一个学期又已经到来，八（7）班这个大家庭有人离开，又有新的成员加入，在那些新的成员里我最喜欢的就是孟老师了。

孟老师是我们的历史老师，他带着一副方框眼镜，头发略微有些花白，但他的精神面貌让我觉得他是一个有活力有朝气的小伙子。

孟老师在我们班说的第一句话就是：“我已经带出了12届学生了。”可想而知，他的教学经验一定十分丰富。第一堂课他就娓娓道来，把有关历史的重点以及该如何学、会怎么考的方法和题型讲了一遍，每个地方都讲得很细致。从他口中听到那些我平时并不经常听到的词语句子时，我突然发现中华上下五千年的英雄人物啊、光辉事迹啊，都储存在孟老师的脑子里，如同一个宝藏一样，等待着我在以后的学习过程中，去慢慢挖掘。孟老师说，他最喜欢的一门学科就是历史，从初中开始直至现在。我认为这是一件了不起的事情，因为他一直坚持地朝自己的梦想努力，并且已经实现了它。

每一堂课，孟老师都会很细心地帮我们把相应的知识点整理好，誊写在白板上，还会把每堂课的重点标好，方便我们回家进行复习。孟老师真的很贴心。

新老师的到来，让我对新学期充满了期待。

从小学一年级到四年级，我最喜欢我们三年级班主任---郭老师。

有一次我自己回家，在路上碰见了郭老师，很不自然地叫了一声：“老师！”老师一回头，看见了我问道：“你每天都自己回家吗？”我又不好意思的点了点头。老师说：“以后咱们一块回家吧！我也是自己走。”我便回答：“好吧。”后来我们经常搭伴回家，一路上说说笑笑，越来越亲密。我们有时下课也聊聊天，说说学校内外的新鲜事，郭老师像朋友，像亲人一样，一点没有老师的架子。

又一次，我语文考坏了，老师在卷子上批了一句：有问题随时问，别弄到期末考试时还不会。我爸会的错题改上了，剩下的题拿着卷子问老师。老师不仅耐心地给我讲了这道题，还给我举了几个例子。以后，我有了问题就问老师，老师总是很认真的给我讲解，考试有了进步，老师是我学习的“必备工具”，我和老师的关系更好了。

我喜欢我的郭老师，她不仅关心我的学习，还和我产生了亲人般的关系。

Dear Miss Jiang,

How time flies! It has been a year since you went to teach in Sichuan. How are you getting on? I miss you so much that I often remember those days when we were together. Thank you for teaching me so well.

Now I’m interested in English more and more. In class, I listen to the teacher carefully and take active part in discussions in English. After class, I join in the English corner and watch English

programs to practice speaking and listening. All these help my English a lot. Now I have made great progress. I even won the first prize in last English competition.

Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment。

There were few people on the earth， and natural resources seemed to be

unlimited。

Today things are different。 The world has bee too crowded。 We are using up

our natural resources，and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals。 If

we continue to do this， human life on earth will not survive。

We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea， there will soon be

none left。 Yet，with modern fishing methods， more and more fish are caught。We

know that if too many trees are cut down， forests will disappear。 Yet， we

continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees。 We see that

if rivers are polluted with waste products， we will die。 Yet， waste products

are

still put into rivers。

We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate， in a

few years， there wont be enough food。What can we do to solve these

problems?

If we eat more vegetables and less meat， there will be more food available。

Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are

kept。

Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them。

The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods

of birth control。

Finally， if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have a

better and cleaner planet in the future。

A fun-filled， pain-free lifestyle equaling happiness actually reduces their

chances of ever obtaining real happiness. As a result，many people avoid the very

attempts that are the source of true happiness.And the real happiness always

contains some pain .In the other hand， true happiness has nothing to do with

fun. All those who always have so much fun actually may not be happy at all.

I have a bitter experience. When I was a child， I lived a poor life，and I

had a happy and meaningful life in my childhood. And my parents were always

respecting each other. And now we have some money，and our life has improved a

lot. To tell the truth， it is a good thing. Unfortunately，My father always goes

out and takes part in the gambling activities. And my mother sometimes quarrels

with my father. I am extremely unhappy about it. I think money doesnt equal

happiness. And pain-free lifestyle also doesnt equal happiness. The real

happiness is that everyone loves each other， and does everything useful for our

society. Most of my classmates support me. But some of them think money is

everything. In my opinion，we cant do things without money. But money cant take

the place of everything，such as your life，your time and your happiness.
