人生活在地球上，要生存，要发展，首先就得靠地球，靠有山有水，有森林有草原的大自然。可是有人误以为大自然是取之不尽，用之不竭的宝库，于是毁林而种，竭泽而渔，连连受到自然的惩罚而不自知。年复一年，森林变成了荒丘，绿洲沦为沙漠，致使世界上每年有2000公顷农田被沙漠吞噬。这样下去经过若干年，地球上的绿地将全部被沙漠侵占，我们的子孙将无法生存!前些年，农村包产到户后，哄砍山林成风，我国务川县一个乡的近2000亩杉木林，在一周之内被砍为平地。听到这个消息，我头疼，我愤怒，这样做的农民太愚昧，太自私。还有很多正在干着类似务川的贻害子孙的事情：任滚滚浓烟弥漫天空，让高分贝的噪音刺激人的神经。

对此，我们应该深思。现代化社会使我们生活得更美好，现代科学也已充分揭示了环境保护的重要性。每个正直的公民，都应具备这样的历史眼光和忧患意识：要把我国建成一个理想的现代化强国，必须做到发展经济与保护环境同步，实现经济发展效益与社会效益的统一。

事实也是这样，几年前，大连污染严重，经过一系列的保护措施后，不仅使市容面目美观了，还带来了良好的经济效益，外商投资，中外合作等等，因此让大连成为现代化的大都市。

让我们伸出自己的双手，来保护自己的家乡，来建设自己的家乡吧。

今天中午吃完饭，我洗碗。洗完之后便上楼准备睡觉去了，当我到楼上时我才听到楼下的水龙头没有关紧。但我想一点水没关系的，便一下子倒在床上，坠入梦田之中。

我醒了过来。我看到眼前的景象吓了一跳：家乡的河水干涸了，树木全都倒掉了，花草也烂掉了，满街都是用着干枯的嗓子叫着“水”随之倒下去的人，我转遍了整个城市也没有找到一滴水，整个城市死气沉沉。我大叫道：“这是哪里？这绝对不是我的家乡！我要回家！”

这时有一个声音响起：“不，这就是你的家乡。”我吓了一跳，对着四周大叫：“你是谁？一定是你把我带到这里来的，快送我回去！”“没错，是我带你来的，但这里就是你的家乡——你们未来的家乡。”

我心里震了一下，随之又觉得这不可能。我说：“不可能，我的家乡风景秀丽，花草树木长得又多又茂盛，河水清澈见底。怎么可能会是这番模样？！”“没错，你的家乡之前的确就像你说的一样，但就是你们这些‘温室花朵’不知道水资源的珍贵，浪费它们，才导致你的家乡这样子的。你想怪谁？”我心里非常气愤，觉得那些浪费水资源的人非常可耻。“气死我了！都怪那些浪费水的人，看我怎么好好的教训他们一顿！”我嫉恶如仇的说道。“是吗？那我劝你先把自己教训一顿吧。你难道没有浪费过水？你忘了你洗碗的时候，就因为你懒而没有去关水龙头的事情？果然，像你们这些人早就忘掉这些不足挂齿的小事了吧。这是你们应有的惩罚······”

渐渐的，那个声音消失了。我突然也觉得喉咙喘不过气来，一下子倒在了地上，想那些人们呻吟这死去了······

“啊——”我从梦中惊醒，急促的喘着气，我想到了梦中的话，便急急忙忙跑到窗前，看见窗外：一派生机盎然。我如释重负的喘了一口气。突然，我又想到楼下的水龙头，便又连鞋子都没穿就跑了下去。

我看见妈妈在楼下做着饭。妈妈看见我，说：“醒了啊，下次洗完碗把水龙头关紧啊。我们家可没那么多钱付水费。”

我慢慢的走上了楼，心里无比沉重。我明白了：我们应该多进行一些社会实践，让那些不知道珍惜水资源的人知道，水对我们来说多么重要。其实不仅仅是水，世界上的各种值得珍惜的都要珍惜，不然当你失去它的时候，你就会无比懊悔当初为什么那么挥霍，为什么没有发现它对自己那么重要。所以，我们应该要珍惜资源，但绝对不是站在金钱的角度去看待，而是为了自己的生命，为了世间万物的生命。

中国更是世界上十二个贫水国家之一，平时在电视上也经常看到，在中国的西北地区，许多地方的缺水还是很严重的，那些地方遍地黄沙，人们的生活非常困难，他们吃水需要用驴车去很远的地方驮，而且水还是又苦又涩，浑浊不堪的。和他们相比，我们拥有甘甜的自来水，纯净水，还有清澈的河流，小溪是多么幸福的事，可是有许多人都不知道珍惜，我也经常在一些广场，饭店等地方看到水管开着却没有人用，使那么多干净的水都白白浪费掉了，现在我知道这是多么让人心疼的事。

今天妈妈让我懂得了水是生命的基础，他不仅关系到我们生活的质量，还影响我们的生存，“如果再不珍惜水资源，那么人类看到的最后一滴水将是自己的眼泪”这句话说得多好呀!让我们都来节约用水吧，水并不是取之不尽，用之不竭的。

相信大部分的同学都有留意位於大埔林村的许愿树，在今年的农历新年期间，因为不堪长期被抛掷宝牒而「壮士断臂」，引起社会极大关注，关于大树的作文。

发生许愿树塌树枝的意外后，有多位本地或外地的树木专家已经立即赶往现场「救伤」，他们都不约而同地指出，许愿树比较几年前已经变得十分虚弱，而且伤痕累累，树叶和幼枝减少七成，周边的泥土又被石屎及地砖压得很实，阻碍了水份及养份的输送，引致霉烂，有树枝感染真菌长出真菌菇，亦有部分树干被烧坏。

一时间，市民议论纷纷，有政府部门、环保团体、学者、传媒机构更组织「救树行动」。有人认为应该禁止抛掷宝牒，以免破坏树木；有人反对这个建议，因为抛掷宝牒是传统习俗，不宜干涉，而且，许愿树每年都吸引很多本地和外地的游客到访，抛掷宝牒又给附近摊挡带来生意，有相当的经济效益；有人因此便提议设一棵影子树在旁，市民游客要抛宝牒，便向影子树抛，不过，影子树还不是一另一棵树木，是否同样有生命，有自己的价值和意义？是否同样值得人们的怜惜？

我们不忍许愿树受伤，关心树木的生命，希望好好保护它们，因为一个「公共财产」的概念。树木乃地球重要资源之一，它们提供各式各样的粮食给予我们；又提供木材给我们制造各种的生活用品，好像同学每天都用的功课簿、书本、桌子、椅子等；更重要的是它们在制造养份过程当中(即光合作用)，吸收空气中的二氧化炭，吐出氧气，使我们的空气清新，让我们乃以生存；树木更是无数雀鸟及动物的居所，孕育无数的生命，是生态系统中非常重要的一环。从自然保育的观点来看，一些珍贵、濒临绝种的树木当然更特别须要我们的关注。近年，为了环保的要求，不少铁路道路建筑部门、住宅发展商等，更选择种植树木，既可以阻隔噪音，同时可以美化环境，作文素材《关于大树的作文》。

从许愿树的事件更可以看见，树木还有它的文化意义。一棵较巨大、年纪较长的树木，往往要数十年才长成。有人将一些古树冠以「活古迹」的名字，认为那是一项文化资产，因为它们包含了一个地方的历史，人们的故事。

世界很多地方均以立法的方式保护树木，例如台湾的台北有《台北市树木保护自治条例》，以保护具有保存价值之树木及其生长环境，维护都市自然文化景观及绿色资源，条例订下具保存价值树木的标准、各机关部门的权责；受保护树木如未经主管机关许可，不得砍伐、移植或以任何方式破坏，违反者可被罚款及要求恢复树木及其生态；有需要时，有关部门有权派员进入公共或私人地方进行勘查。

保护树木成效卓著者，又会予以表扬及奖励。首尔(即韩城)、新加坡、纽约等地方亦有类似的法例。

反观香港的发展虽然急剧，却没有独立的法例保护树木。林村许愿树的事件只不过是冰山一角，香港受破坏或未获关注的树木，又岂止一棵？香港的土地需求紧张，私人土地拥有人、地产发展商、甚至政府部门，可能因为商业住宅发展、设施建设等，而进行各种各样的土木工程。在一些庙宇、乡郊地方，除了有善信各树木抛掷宝牒，亦时有善信在树脚旁烧香，有树木曾经因此而被烧伤。一些由於郊游或祭墓人士不小心留下火种而引起的山火，更曾导致大遍树木被烧毁，山头瞬间变成光秃秃。

综观香港的树木问题，可以归纳出「五宗罪」：

1. 种植太多外来品种，如台湾相思，漠视本地自然生态；

2. 价值观倾向以为种树便可补偿砍掉的树木，而非尽量在原地保留树木；

3. 对保护林木的法律保障不足，不能阻吓破坏树木的人士或机构，尤其对於一些较大规模的发展商或机构，即使他们屡次破坏树木，社会亦束手无策；

4. 用石屎包封树根，此举阻碍了水份及养份的输送，树木难以健康成长；

5. 管理不善—政府把部分树本护理的工作外判，但外判商普遍没有足够护理树木的知识，欠缺定期树木检查、胡乱修理树枝，随便砍掉大风吹倒的大树等等，都是常见的错误树木管理。

这些问题存在已久，实在值得政府部门及公众反思，并且尽快找出良策，及时保护我们珍贵的树木资源。

环保团体长春社现正举行「树木守护大使」，邀请所有同学担当树木风纪的角色，监察四周的树木的生长情况，你可以记下它的位置、特徵、历史，甚至有关它的小故事，如果发现任何破坏，可报告有关当局或长春社。同学更可以组织树木风纪队，集合更大的力量，一同关心和保护我们的树木。
