实践证明，传统的高投入、高消耗、高排放、低效率的粗放型增长方式难以为继，必须尽快加以扭转。但上半年经济增长达到10。9%，而能源消费增长超过经济增长速度，与实现单位GDP能耗降低4%左右的目标有较大差距，形势十分严峻。节约能源资源是落实科学发展观、转变经济增长方式、从根本上缓解资源约束、减轻环境压力、实现全面建设小康社会目标和经济可持续发展的必然选择。

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollution of water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is being changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless.

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence. Indifference to these problems will mean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. Because of the differences in environmental policies， resources and technology， international cooperation could provide quicker results and have a greater impact on bringing resolution to environmental problems for nations of differing environmental policies and of lesser resources and technology。 By pooling international resources and technology to address the environmental problems， the disadvantaged nations are provided the assistance needed。 Otherwise their environmental conditions deteriorate ultimately affecting the resources and environment of the world as a whole。

One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmental issues is the difference in individual nations view and policies toward environmental protection。 In order for international cooperation to occur and succeed， the nations of the world must submit themselved to international standards and supervision by an international mission elected by the participating nations of the world。 All members must agree to abide by the standards established。

The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international in scope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of the ozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems。

As part of the same planet， it is the responsibility of each individual and nation to protect the global environment。 Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment。

植树节已过去了快一个月了，但种树，保护森林还是受到人们的关注。

自上世纪五十年代以来，中国创造了世界人工造林的奇迹，据统计，1981年至2016年全国累计义务植树398亿株以上。但人类对森林的破坏在速度与数量上更为惊人二十世纪九十年代的10年当中全世界森林资源大约减少了90000平方千米，占世界全部森林资源的百分之二点四。

毁坏开荒，乱砍滥伐，是我国本来就不多的森林资源破坏非常严重。火灾，虫灾也加据了对森林的破坏。

沙尘暴是一种风和沙相互作用的灾害性天气现象，它的形成与森林锐减，物种灭绝，气候异常等因素有养不可分割的关系。其中，人口膨胀导致的过度开发自然，过量砍伐树木过度开垦土地上沙尘暴频发的主要原因。我们砍伐一棵大树只需几秒，但要长成的参天大树，要几年呢?

为了我们的家园，请保护森林。

每棵树都住着一个小精灵，飞飞是其中的一个。他们的家在一座茂密的大森林里。

有一天，飞飞看到一群陌生人闯进了森林。飞飞听最年长的精灵爷爷说过，人类很有智慧，比森林里的动物要聪明百倍。飞飞想：“人类肯定能像动物一样，成为我们的好伙伴。”可是从这天起，奇怪的轰鸣声就不断响起，所到之处大树倒了下来，被做成了一间间精致的小木屋。有好些精灵伙伴再也无法唱歌，跳舞了。飞飞有点难过，他想：人们已经有房子了，该不会再伐树。可人的欲望哪有那么简单：树被做成了火柴，一次性筷子，一次性纸杯……伐树的人把树换成大把大把的钱装进了自己的口袋，却依旧没停下手中的锯子。

平静的生活被打破，飞飞心急如焚。它去找精灵爷爷商量对策。精灵爷爷说：“我们弱小的精灵无法与强大的人类的对手，但我有一个好注意。”

夜幕降临，人们进入梦乡。精灵爷爷趁机施了魔法。人们醒来时，被眼前的情景吓呆了：郁郁葱葱的森林已不复存在，只留下一大片沙漠，大风卷起的风沙铺天盖地;昔日在树枝间跳跃的猴子和唱歌的鸟儿也消失了，太阳热辣辣地灼烧着每个人;美丽的瀑布消失了，人类的生命之源——水源干枯了。“我们究竟做了什么啊?”人们都悲号起来。

这时，从耳畔传来一个声音：“人们本来是很聪明的，但目光太短浅。因为你们大量砍伐树木，生态系统遭到破坏，造成了森林沙漠化。你们已经无法生存了!”“这都是我们的错。”人类懊悔不已，“请再给我们一次机会吧!我们一定会改正!”

一阵浓雾涌来，雾散了，世界又恢复了原样。人类为自己活着而庆幸，更为森林的存在而庆幸。人们扔掉手中的锯子，取而代之的是一把把植树的铲子……

精灵飞飞和他的伙伴们终于又找回了自己的家。
